“I thought that $22 was too much for a burrito and a side of guacamole. I still think that but I'll admit that my chicken burrito did taste good. The meat was well tenderized and seasoned. Btw, I went here after randomly Googling Mexican restaurants near me for fun.“

“This is by far the best taco truck I’ve ever eaten at!!! There are so many options, especially for vegetarians- their veggie tacos and mulitas are so delicious and flavorful! Normally it can be hard to find a taco truck with a truly delicious veggie taco, but this truck seasons their veggies really nicely and has a full blend of potatoes, mushroom, onions, and bell peppers that make the tacos super filling and SO tasty!!! Their salsas are also really yummy. I highly recommend paying a visit here!! Very vegetarian / vegan friendly and so worth it!“

“I feel more Mexican restaurants are essentially Tex Mex. I got tacos and the main thing that killed them are the packaged tortillas. All tacos had 2 layers of tortillas which in my opinion dont taste too great. The fish tacos plate was $25 for 3 tacos and no rice or beans. Also the tacos couldve used a bit more salsa and crema. And the salsa used is your basic tabasco and cholula. The flavors of all food items were very spot on. The cocktails were deliscous and the service was 10/10“

“What is this place?!? Taqueria? Birria lovers dream? Family? Yep!
Went in about an hour before closing and was greeted immediately upon entering. The menu is simple and very reasonably priced. The positions are VERY generous and the food is incredible.
There is also something special about the atmosphere. The way it’s been decorated. The little touches everywhere. It felt - like you just got invited into someone’s home for a meal. The service felt that same way.
Enter Brenda - part owner of this amazing establishment. Her energy and joy are infectious. She added so much to our dining experience. It was as if she had invited us to be guests at her home and couldn’t wait to share the passion in the food and the dream of this place.
This isn’t just a place to go because you like tacos, or if you know and love birria, or because it’s open. This is a place to go to experience a hug in the form of food. It’s a place to go if you’re missing home meals. It’s a place to go to thank people like Brenda and her family for putting this much joy in the world and soak a little up for yourself.
Gracias familia de Birrieria Pepe El Toro!!!
FYI - they also have food trucks for your corporate, neighborhood, and special event!!“

“They were the food truck option at my kid's Innovation High School readiness evening and they were a hit! I got the asada bowl, the kid got the asada sandwich and my wife got the el Diablo torta and every one of them was fantastic.
There is a slight kick to the meals, but I didn't think it was too bad.
Hopefully they will be back soon!“

“Best Mexican food hands down we’ve found as California transplants to Seattle. Alejandro gave us great service, the food from beginning to end was amazing and made with love, and it’s hard to find a place where every single salsa blew me away. Will be back over and over and over.“

“La semana pasada tuve la oportunidad de conocer el restaurante, fue una experiencia buena, el servicio, la comida el ambiente, pero hubo algo que si me gustaría que lo consideraran, yo tenía ganas de probar el chile en nogada y me encantó pero para mí no fue suficiente como porque el chile no va acompañado de nada creo que ese arroz que tienen estaría muy bien para acompañarlo porque para mí no fue suficiente comida, de ahí todo lo demás estuvo excelente.“

He gave great recommendations for drinks and food pairings, especially with lots of lime on the side! We look forward to visiting again, maybe for their happy hour in the future!!“

“Led here by a Seattle Times article that didn’t quite do justice to just how yummy the creations really are. The tuna tostada was sold out, so I had the bay scallop ceviche which was divine. My daughter had some other concoction of forgotten name, but excellent flavors. We topped it off with a pumpkin paleta dessert. Go here, it’s fantastic.“

“Malena's is my favorite taco in Seattle. The burritos are HUGE and the tacos (hard shell) are delicious. Guacamole is legit and i could eat their salsas with everything. Cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Rolled tacos as good as Olvera street in LA. Burritos put chain stores to shame. Such good food and freshly prepared to order.“

“LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Tacos are out of this world; great service and it's in the same parking lot as The Green Door. One of Seattle's favorite cannabis shops around...... talk about a great set up!!! you kill two birds with one stoned moment. it is a must.“

“Food is super tasty, fresh , fast and satisfying. However, I have had issues with add ons. If I pay for an add on I expect to get enough. I've added avocado and litteraly got one slice. I've added sour cream and got less than teaspoon in a huge burrito. Other than that, I love this truck and will keep coming back because it is delicious and convenient! Just won't pay for add ons anymore.“

“We didn’t have time to eat here but when we asked about the blue corn tortillas, the person attending us was super informative and friendly, giving us all kinds of interesting info about their passion for making the masa. We did buy some of the masa to bring back home and made tortillas with them and it was delicious. Thank you!“

“I had a carne asada, chicken tinga, and a birria taco. All the corn tortillas were made in the spot as well as an unbelievably perfect green salsa. And I know this is dangerous to say this, but I just got back from Guadalajara and I think the chicken Tinga was better here than it was down there.“

“This place has a special place in my heart. I've enjoyed the restaurant a few times on my own but me and my friend went in on the dia de los muertos parade event and it just felt *right*. Chips and queso is so good. The tacos are always good. Gotta say, the potato taco is my favorite. They also serve two soups and who doesn't love a warm cup of soup? It is a little pricey but it's worth the hype.“

“Far and away one of my favorite Mexican places. This place has ambiance, a separate bar that carries Mariners games and other sports, and, of course, amazing food. Plus the waitresses and bartenders are very nice. Is that enough? I think it's very deserving of five stars.“

“I absolutely love this place. Best mexican food I’ve tried in the Seattle area. I’ve been going here pretty regularly since 2019 and have not had a single bad experience. I always get a chicken burrito with whole black beans and no dairy. The rice is always tasty, never too much either. They’re generous with the protein. The seasonings are used well, but the magic comes with the sauces. Most taco trucks just use standard suppliers for their ingredients and you can tell, but not here. They make their own sauces. They have a red sauce, green sauce and a spicy sauce. I always get the spicy sauce. Its maybe more spicy than many people could handle but used sparingly still packs a solid flavor-punch.Burritos are my default because they are amazing value. $11 for effectively two meals.I’ve gotten each arrangement and combination a few times, and my go to for a more reasonable portion is three chicken tacos. At $2.50 a taco its also a pretty good deal.I don’t think there are any additional charges for meats (except lengua) so getting carne asada, barbacoa or carnitas isn’t any different. I would highly recommend the barbacoa on tacos or butritos.“

“Flavorful, fast food in a vibrant, clean atmosphere. Fun energetic music. Friendly staff. I thoroughly enjoyed the burrito plate. Guacamole was creamy and the entree felt very fresh. You can stock your table with warmed tortilla chips and a salsa bar with vegetables and many salsas. Prices are reasonable with a portion I was able to split the meal and both leave satisfied!“

“I went to their Seattle location for Cinco de Mayo. I had their mango margarita and their breakfast burrito with carnitas. Both were delicious! They have artwork available for purchase and I saw a couple I’d like to buy for myself. I will have to go back and do that.“
