The food was terrific - Had the Asian Style Lettuce Wraps (Sesame Ginger BBQ chicken, crisp cabbage slaw, wonton shreds and a mild wasabi aioli in butter lettuce cups) which were amazing. “I like teriyaki. I don’t have it often, maybe because I am usually so underwhelmed by the places I have it. This night, I found myself hungry, and One Teriyaki was close. Never been there. I prepared to be underwhelmed. At least the place was clean and tidy. To my surprise, my order came out in half the time I expected it. On a large, square, black plate with VERY generous portions of spicy chicken, rice and salad. It is the best teriyaki I have had in quite awhile. What a pleasant surprise. Highly recommended!“

“Frying Lemon Fish has excellent food — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Service is friendly, and the atmosphere is clean and comfortable.

The only downside is how the menu is structured. Each dish is large and meant to be ordered on its own, which makes it hard to try a few different things if you’re just one or two people. Some smaller meal sets or combo options would make it easier to sample more without needing a big group.

Still, the quality and flavor make it one of the best Chinese spots around — great for sharing or a full family meal.“

“I would like to preface this by saying I am not a local; I come up from Florida 1-2 times a year to see my girlfriend. I took her here about a year or two ago for lunch and we make it a point to come back every time I'm around. This means that we only come in to eat every 6-8 months at best, and yet without missing a beat the owner recognizes us every time.

That alone is reason enough for me to want to keep coming back, but the establishment really speaks for itself. Good food, clean place, friendly staff, and quick service. I've never regretted stopping by and continue to look forward to when I get to snag a bite here, and it remains one of the highlights of my year.“

“The owners are amazing and so friendly. 😁 My dad and I always loved going here to enjoy the delicious food and great conversations with the owners for many years. Since my dad's death almost 3 years ago it has been bitter sweet visiting this restaurant again with so many great memories. “Found this place by accident. They have a big menu and price of food is not expensive. We ordered the fried rice and it was delicious, not oily. Tried the salt and pepper squid and its crispy and airy. Over all the food is delicious and I recommend this place. Its not as aesthetic as it looks from the outside but their food is really good, not too salty or oily and never gave me weird aftertaste. The portions are generous and I would definitely come back.“

“Every time I dine in the service is quick, the food is hot and everyone is nice helpful and welcoming. Have been back several times since my first visit. Highly recommend the chicken chow mein, chicken fried rice, almond chicken. The soup is really good too.“

“We stopped here to share a plate before driving home to Kitsap County. You order at the counter and we were helped immediately. We shared a honey garlic chicken and a side of bbq pork. We were served quickly and enjoyed our food. This order is not spicy but was very tasty as was the bbq pork. We left satisfied and will come back again if we are in the Monroe area.“

“I and my colleague eat here a couple times per week for lunch. I also lived in Asia for close to a decade.

Jade Garden is perhaps the best Chinese food I have had on this side of the Pacific.

We regularly order General Tso' (beef or chicken), Mongolian Beef, Sesame Beef, or Curry Beef. Portions are awesome for the lunch set price ($13.50), and come with rice and soup (I always get the Hot and Sour).

Beyond that there is a Dim Sum menu, which the owner (Sue) cooks herself. I LOVE dim sum and this is some of the absolute best. She cooks in Hong Kong style (which is where she hails from), and has clearly perfected the art over a lifetime.

The food is incredibly clean and fresh in terms of ingredient quality and preparation, and the atmosphere inside the restaurant is pleasant.

Sue is incredibly friendly and helpful, as well as her family, who together run this restaurant.

I honestly would give it 10 out of 5 stars if possible.“

“Stopped in on a Friday evening, dine in and it was wonderful. Small dining area with the basics but is so clean. The dine-in area just had one other couple but the to-go orders were plentiful. The owners greeted everyone with sincerity and all the to-go peeps seemed to be regulars. We enjoyed a chicken bento box and an order of the orange chicken. Both were played well and tasted amazing. So fresh! Japan Teriyaki was a great surprise find tucked away off of 20th.“
