“We always order tons of their toro nigiri, it’s super fresh and delicious. We first had toro in Japan and we were so amazed at the fatty fish, when we came back home to Stanwood we thought we would never get to eat toro as good as Japan but we tried Shima’s. The toro that Dan served us was 100% was better than sushi places in San Francisco, Seattle, and specifically Japan. The service was so amazing, and the staff was very friendly. We will be sure to bring all of our family and friends here to support a local family business!“

“I usually love coming in to jasmin but today was a game changer for my family. We went in for our daughters birthday (she loves the food). The food was so great but our server was awful. ( Kayleigh) my daughter asked politely for her birthday ice cream twice and she ignored her. Then she ignored us about 4 times when we waved her down for drink refills. My daughter left in tears after our visit today. we payed our bill and left very unsatisfied in customer service.“
