New information - I just learned that the ice machine is cleaned quite regularly here and I'll tell you folks, this is a clean establishment. Most bars and restaurants don't attend to their ice machines regularly and this is a big deal. Mold grows on unclear surfaces, even in the icy cold! Trust this place with your drink because you won't be disappointed.

Please disregard the negative reviews of The Steilacoom Taproom because I can promise you, after reading them, they are wrong!“

“Such an amazing and unique atmosphere. The owner is a true mixologist, coming up with delicious drinks off the top of his head. Food is amazing 🤩. Gordon Ramsey would be impressed. The owner also made sure to come to our table to check on us. I will absolutely return 🤩😊“

“What an awesome revival of an old dive on South Tacoma Way. The drink selection is broad, and the pour is good. The beer selection will fit just about any taste. The food selection is limited and separate from the actual bar, but it is all good food at decent prices. Seating is a bit limited, so if you are planning on having a seat, get there early and bring friends to save some space. People are friendly and will join you, uninvited, at your table. The old video games, and skee ball is fun. The music venue though!!! WOW!!! It is impressive. Festival seating (meaning there are no seats) with a bar at the back of the room. The acoustics are great, there is no bad place to stand to get a full view of the stage and a full experience from the music.“

“1st time visit Monday July 7th. The bartender Ian was very attentive and the new co-owner was very friendly. Most bars in Tacoma offer a variety of food and beverage so outstanding customer service is what makes an establishment stand out. The couple next to me ordered chicken wings and they looked amazing. I’ll bring an appetite next time! One pool table and a good sound system. Outdoor patio with misters on hot days was unique and the clientele 4-7pm was a mix of working and retired patrons. I’ll come back with co-workers and keep up the great service guys!

“My favorite bar in Tacoma. I was looking for a place to watch a huskies game last season and no bars were showing it since the game was on the Peacock app. The manager let me cast my phone to the TV and other huskies fans started rolling in to watch not long after. Love this place.“

“Bought a $100 gift card for my Father for Christmas. Can't wait for him to tell me about his first experience . My wife and I enjoyed individual flights last night, seated on the vintage looking green valour settee. The Bigger Bodies Reds. Each was amazing and it was a tough choice of which to choose for a glass. New World was the flight my wife enjoyed. Next I had a glass of the Blesoe. Two of our friend couples came so we became six. Each of them enjoyed a flight or glass. The staff was informative,super friendly and hospitable. We will certainly return, great meeting spot and The Spar is across the street;). The only suggestion is filtered water please as the water provided tasted to my wife & I like tap water.“

These folks r regulars and very chill great sense of humor decent pool players ! Tuesday best tacos period around ! Killer drinks friendly staff out door area ! “This was my first time being here. Limited parking, some street parking, mostly residential. The inside is bigger than it seems from the outside. I went around 7pm on a Friday, it wasn't too busy until a couple hours in. They have skeeball, pool, and darts from what I saw. As far as the food, they are known for their pizza which was pretty decent, other than the cheese falling off too easily, nice crust, good flavor, but a bit greasy. The french dip was immaculate, crispy bread on the outside, soft on the inside, not dry or stale at all, loads of meat and cheese, tasted really good. Comes with a pickle spear and a bag of chips. Top 5 on my french dip list. The only downside to this place is that the music was blasting way too loud to the point that I have to increase my volume substantially, almost full on yelling so the other person could hear me, but the food was worth it.“

Food is meh, but drunk food is wowza, so have a few. Didnt have high expectations, its a bar! Beer is freshy fresh.“

The star of the show, though, was our dessert, which was a deconstructed PB&J. I don’t think I’ve ever had something that had such a wide variety of complementary textures. It was amazing and flavorful.“

“I've been here with a group but, never solo. I was disappointed with the service. The Reagan one was great. I was ignored up at the bar almost the more time. I waited almost 20 minutes to order food. I'm fine with the added gratuity but, found it strange that there wasn't a line to add more. When I asked I was told to just add it anywhere on the receipt. I did it but, didn't like not having a line for total!! Very strange.“

“Just went there for the first time and we were super impressed with how fast our food came out! I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was hands down the best breakfast burrito I have ever had, normally places have way too much eggs in them but not here! Perfect! Great coffee too. Our waitress was super kind and cool as well!

“My family and friends had a great time sipping on some cider and beer in your outdoor covered space. The overhead heater and propane fires were perfect while our toddlers ran around in and out of the rain. I was happy that you have both a cider AND beer selection.

“my husband and I will go there about few times a year. this was my father in laws favorite place to eat every Wednesday with his brother for many yrs. Yesterday(July 21st) we ate there at approximately 7pm. very nice waiter we had. my husband ordered a Chicken Fried Steak breakfast. he indicated that that meat was very tough and rubbery. I tasted it and totally agreed with him. but that won't stop us from going there again. we did show up on July 16th(Sunday). had no idea you closed up so early(it was about 6pm)“

“Walk through the door, a dozen pinball games line the entrance. Approach the bar to a great selection of beer, hard alcohol and some amazing people behind the bar. Cocktail recommendations listed behind the bar. Amazing selection of sandwiches from Phillys to Cubans. They treated me like an old friend instead of a new customer. This is truly the heart of and height of old school Tacoma hospitality. Rumor on the street is they're expanding their venue for live music, and I can't wait to get back there.“
