“I was in search for a catering service for a loved one's funeral repass/reception and came across Ola Mae's Southern BBQ via Google search. The catering menu items they had to offer was exactly what myself and family was looking for. I sent a request form the day I found them and received an email a few hours later. Not only that I was able to speak with Mr. Reeves on the phone to get my order placed for 80 people attending. I also want to say the funeral was 5 days away. Mr. Reeves and his staff did an amazing job from start to finish. When it was time for the repass his staff made sure everything was taken care of from the real plates, set up of food and beverages, clean up, taking dirty plates, checking in on everyone regarding if we needed assistance with anything AND even brought to go boxes so people can take food home (a huge help for sure!).If you are looking for a southern cuisine catering services I suggest Ola Mae's hands down. The food was amazing and that is including my opinion, the guests' opinions, and my grandmother's true opinion who is originally from the South. “I love having Senegambian food available nearby. We enjoyed Jollof Rice with Yassa chicken, Samosas fresh from the fryer with Beignets for dessert. The food is cooked without pepper, I guess for Seattle taste buds, so be thankful that there is plenty of pepper to add if you ask! Highly recommended. Next time I'll try the figure with okra seafood stew!“

“I was in Renton for the week for work. I had a delicious Lemoncello drink in the bar. My coworkers joined me shortly after, and we grabbed a big table for dinner. We ordered the Sicilian Garlic Cheese Bread appetizer, Lobster and Crab Ravioli, and Spaghetti with Meat Sauce. We all loved our food, and even had leftovers. The Spumoni ice cream for dessert was my favorite. The atmosphere was great, and our server was super nice.“
“I am co-owner of Macadons and Pink's Ice Cream. We were technically the first tenant at Artisan Community Kitchen since we were occupying the space for about 2 years before Darrin and his team came in and turned it into a commissary kitchen.The changes he made to improve the space was night and day. While building it out, he was always very accommodating and asking what everyone wanted and needed so that it would be a welcoming place to come into. New paint on the walls, new flooring, new decor, upgraded and repaired equipment that was there, and paid for new equipment to come in, on top of many other things that were done behind the scenes.I've had many conversations with Darrin and he is one of the most caring people I know. He comes from the same background as anyone that is looking for a space to manufacture their food products because he used to own his own catering business so he knows how hard it was finding a space that would fit our needs. I think that is one of the most important pieces of information to know.It was a tough decision for our team to move out since we loved being there, but we had to do leave. We were taking up a lot of space already and we are continuing to grow and it just didn't make sense for us or for Artisan Community Kitchen to keep us there. After leaving, we still have a great relationship with Darrin and his team and we love coming back to chat and see the progress and new people that are coming into the space.Whether you're looking for a space to test out your product to see if it makes sense to go all in and turn your dream into a reality, or looking for a space to expand your current operations, working with ACK is a great place to do it. Finally, I made it to the house and stuck them in the oven, flipping it over once .. And having the bright idea to take their chimmi-churi sauce and mix it with some spicy Mayo I got from a sushi place.How did the lyrics go??? " I'm in heaven, simply heaven..." Yes, like that.Safe to say. I am from Seattle, like I mentioned before. And I am most Def sleeping on this food. Additionally, if you haven't tried it, so are you!!The flavor was phenomenal, the crunch was superb, it hit all the right taste buds , and it made me say DAMN WHY DIDN'T I BUT ANOTHER ONE??And I'll leave you with this.
