“Great food and very clean. We were greeted by a very friendly gentleman that gave us a quick tour of the menu and helped us decide on what to eat with pictures! The service was quick and efficient, and the food was excellent. I would definitely go back.“
“The flavors here are fantastic. Not quite to the point where you wonder how they make them work, but it all comes together brilliantly. Everything we had impressed, and tho you’re paying premium prices you’re going to come away with a special and memorable experience.Service and atmo were good, plating was solid, just not exceptional or anything, and there’s no easy parking.Still, def a solid choice for a special meal with those you love.“
“got the Gyro Saj Shawarma & Greek Friesthis contained two main things - the sandwich and the greek friesfirst, i thought the sandwich was pretty goodwhile not using pita bread, which is typical for a gyro and usually what i prefer, this place used more of a tortilla for the breading insteadi did think this bread was toasted very well and the overall outside of the wrap was goodas far as the inside, i very much liked the way the ingredients were packed into the wrapwhile it may not look super big, each half of the sandwich was packed really tightly with a lot ofdifferent ingredients - which made it really fillingthis also let the flavors really combine since they were mixed up in close proximity inside the sandwichthe sandwich also scores high in portion size - it really had a lot of meat and overall ingredientsthe meat inside the sandwich was good - not greatwhere this disappointed me a bit was in the greek fries - there wasn't enough white saucethe cheese was decent - but the lack of sauce made the fries not really stick to the cheese that mucha lot of fries were just dryso these were still decent, but i've certainly had a lot betteri did like the crisp on theseSandwich: 8.5/10Greek Fries: 7/10Overall: 8.15/10“
“We are visiting from out of state and decided to go for some Mediterranean food recommendation from my cousin. She impressed us with this amazing salad and chicken with rice. Super tasty and full of flavor. Ishmael brought our food out right away was super helpful and quick!“
“Our family is so sad that Omega Ouzeri is shuttering its doors after all these years of providing amazing Greek cuisine on Capitol Hill. From El Greco to Vios to Omega Ouzeri, Tomas and his talented staff have always delivered on quality and have made an indelible mark on my family's culinary experiences. We were so lucky to have one last family meal here and like always, it never disappoints! Good luck, Tomas & Rebecca, on your new Greek adventures!“
“Believe the hype, this place is phenomenal. The lentil soup is out of this world. The mezze plate is bomb. Get any of the chicken dishes - they’re all excellent! Our server Marcos was attentive, friendly… an absolute gem. Couldn’t recommend Petra highly enough.“
“Vegetarian options: Cheese burek, veggie pide, kunefehDietary restrictions: Not good for gluten free, dairy free, or veganParking: Parking on 1st Ave, Market parking garage, or garage on Stewart StreetKid-friendliness: No kids menu, but kids with good palettes will likely find something they enjoyWheelchair accessibility: Tight squeeze to get in the old door, and the indoor space is small. But there is an outdoor patio with tables“
“Honestly this place is amazing. Hidden gem for sure. When you walk inside it looks anticlimactic a subpar food establishment. I was lured in from the reviews and they did not disappoint. 10/10 hands down. We loved every one of the 5 entrees we ate and the prices and portions were impressive (dessert too) One massive suggestion we agreed upon need large photos of each dish because in this particular demographic most folk don’t know exactly what the names of dishes and ingredients are when we read from the menu.“
“This place is amazing! I come from a Mediterranean family and this tastes like my mom's cooking. Best falafel I've had in a very long time! Crispy outside. Moist inside. Not that dry crumbly stuff you get most places. The shawarma chicken wrap is amazing too. It's grilled so the outside is just a little crisp. Not traditional, but very good nonetheless.“
“Food was amazing! Service amazing. First time and I had the best Mediterranean chicken salad I have ever had in seattle. It was made in a way that impressed my so much it is going to be my go-to in Seattle. Its a nice location inside a food court but the neighborhood needs improvement. Won't stop me from visiting again.“
“Food was as good as the service . Last time I bring my wife n son to their shop. And they are very unpredictable of how each sandwich will taste . Each 3 times I ordered same food but it never is the same . Hey , I tipped too much like a fool .. hope ur experience is better than mine .“
“This place is worth traveling from Seattle. The food is absolutly amazing. The service is friendly. The ambience is like somebody teleported you to some small city in Israel. I had a schitzel in a plate, served with spicy harissa, hummus and a pitta bread. It was delicious and very well presented. I noticed some comments about the pricing. The restaurant serves glat kosher meat and home made food. That is expensive (e.g. a package of frozen kosher burgers in grocery store is 2x higher than a non-kosher alternative.)“
“The atmosphere is inviting and the staff very welcoming and friendly. I did not have to wait long for my order and it was the best lamb I've ever had. Perfectly seasoned in the rice platter. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was also a great portion and another thing I liked is that the chef asked if I would like freshly squeezed lemonade instead of the limonata I ordered. Nice touch. The dessert was off the menu but deserves a mention. Excellent chocolate cake! Will definitely come back when visiting Seattle.“

“"Do ya like smooth jazz?"The jazzzz the staffff the cocktailsss... All, excellent. The Zig Zag burger was also very good. I wasn't a fan of the coconut risotto, but everything else was great. Our server, Kaira, was so cool I can't even lie. Good experience!“
“We just popped in to get something to eat before a show, I got the roasted bone marrow and it was delicious! Everything on the menu looked beautiful so I hope to come back to Seattle soon to try more. On the way out the owners gave me a HUGE bone cause I asked for a box for the bone from my dish, to make treats for my dog. That was sooooo sweet and unexpected! Thank you so much and we will definitely stop in again“
“I love trying any place that has a gyro but this restaurant is a true gem. The smells are intoxicating as soon as you enter. It is clean and comfortable with quick friendly service. But then the food... My fiancee and I got two lamb gyros with tabbouleh salad and baklava and cake for dessert. The first bite is heaven and the rest only increases in flavor. The meat in the gyros is flavorful, the vegetables are fresh, the sauce is perfectly balanced. My tabbouleh is fresh and lights my mouth up with a lovely zestiness. We haven't gotten into the desserts yet but I had to stop and write about this food while the euphoria is still zipping through me. We will 100% be back and if you love Mediterranean food I highly recommend you come spend your money here.“
“Ordered on Christmas night and the food was fresh and authentic. The portions are big so bring an appetite. The only thing I’d recommend (if your like me and don’t like a lot of dressing or sauce) is maybe tell them half dressing on the sandwich..Besides, that the meal was awesome! I’ll definitely be back.“
“My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch date here. The service was friendly and very fast. The lentil soup was excellent, with a great balance of flavors. The lamb shawarma was excellent. Fresh ingredients with wonderful flavor and spice. The portion size was large so easy to make into two meals. My husband and I were thoroughly satisfied, and we will be back again.“
“Stellar service, stellar food. I'm not much of a pasta guy but the saffron chicken pasta was fantasticUpdate: spicy sausage pizza was fabulous. We ordered the fig salad this time and they botched it but were super kind about taking it back!“
“My partner had shawarma stuck in his head. He wanted to hit up our usual spot in shoreline, but it's far from kent so that was a no. We were doing laundry down farther in the strip mall, and I saw this place was 300 ft away on maps. Seemed meant to be.This is a nicer sit down place, but casual. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you.I ordered a gyro with the beef/lamb gyro meat and a greek salad. Partner ordered chicken shawarma with regular fries. We also shared some feta fries. The meal was around 50, but that's just because the extra fries were huge and $12.All of the food was great. Fresh, authentic flavours. The one thing I was hoping for was a super flavourful punch in the face. The flavours here were lower key than I'm used to.All that being said, its a bit more expensive than most places, and definitely just a once in a while splurge. But I might be back.“
“Decided to try this place out for a work lunch and it was very welcoming & food was delicious! I got the chicken shawarma wrap and their Somali spiced tea, which came with complimentary lentil soup as I was waiting for my meal. Very kind and hospitable for a quick grab and go!I highly recommend for a casual, Black-owned, local spot with fresh & made to order dishes. I also didn't feel overly stuffed or sluggish afterwards! I appreciate that their dishes are halal :)Parking: It's street parking, but it wasn't very difficult to find a spot on MLK.“
“WOW, for seriously fabulous gyros this is the place! We decided to get the gyro salad and the gyro fries and split them which was perfect. The service was quick, friendly and perfect. It was a clean charming environment. Will definitely eat here again.“
“What a wonderful breakfast experience! We were a party of 10 on a Saturday morning without reservations and Andaluca was the place to be. Not only were they accommodating, the service was EXCELLENT. The food was amazing! Eggs Benedict were perfectly cooked (hollandaise was incredible), lemon curd pancakes were truly unique and delicious. The portions are huge for the price which were very reasonable. The restaurant is cozy and inviting. We will definitely be back!!“
“At this Romanian cuisine restaurant, the culinary experience is exceptional. Each dish bursts with authentic flavors that transport you to the heart of Romania. Moreover, the staff here are not just attentive but genuinely wonderful, adding warmth and a personal touch to your dining experience. A definite must-visit for anyone seeking delicious food served by an incredibly friendly team“
“The breakfast taste pretty good. Nice pancake. Makes you want to eat more. The side dish is pretty nice. Lamb with bomb also pretty nice. Fried chicken taste pretty interesting as well. Not bad for one that isn't freshed fried. Enjoyed the meal in this small restaurant. Have to come back for some other dishes.“
“If you're in the mood for some delicious and authentic Jordanian food in Seattle, then Petra is the place to go to! This was my second time at this restaurant, and I'm so happy that the quality of their food and service has remained as amazing as it was when I first came here 2 years ago!Great vibes and decor in the interiors, very friendly staff, and great service. The food portions were also big, and super flavorful and delicious. We started our meal with Mosabaha and some warm pita bread. We then also had the shish tauk which came with this delicious garlic sauce and buttery rice, and the lamb ouzi. It was the perfect comfort meal, and we left with a food coma, and leftovers that we enjoyed the next day. I can't wait to come back to Seattle to try more of their wonderful dishes!“
“DeAnne is one of the best chefs around, having an instinctual knowledge of what spices go together and in what amounts. She also knows Turkish food recipes like the back of her hand! To say that I enjoy what she has made for me over the years, both savory and sweet, would be an understatement, and she is a lovely, generous, wonderful person on top of her cooking abilities!Try anything with lamb and the baklava, and you will leave very happy -- and full!Kudos to you, DeAnne, and the wonderful restaurant you run! Your food is absolutely DELICIOUS!“
“Outside appearance of restaurant is misleadingly non-impressive. They graciously made room for us in spite of our failure to have reservations (we had no idea what we were walking into). Not only was the food delicious, but it was a full dining experience, like walking into another country; 5 course meal was kindly explained and served one course at a time, allowing for lingering conversations. Servers were warmly hospitable. This was an experience definitely worth the money!Kid-friendliness: We noticed several families present that seemed to be having a wonderful time together. I would recommend for 5-7 year olds and up, and get reservations, as seating is limited.“
“I ordered a beef steak yeero and a 6 piece falafel . The yeero was absolutely delicious. I couldn’t get enough of the creamy garlic sauce they added, but I think I was shorted since it only had 3 small pieces of steak. Otherwise, it was phenomenal. The falafel were okay. They looked smaller and flatter than advertised. I think they were slightly overcooked but tzatziki sauce was awesome. Overall this is a cute little stop for a quick lunch. Thank you!“
“I've been coming here for years (before and after COVID) and it has been my go to spot for a quick and tasty lunch. While not at the same level as a full restaurant, the food is tasty and the staff have always been super nice. I usually get a Gyro combo with fries and haven't been disappointed yet.“
“The food was so good that I didn’t have time to take a picture before I ate all of it! This is a great spot with super tasty food that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. We spent more money at pikes place and got less quality of food. 10/10 recommend this place! The Greek Fries are yummy! Spent $40 on 2 people and got an extra side and drinks.“
“How does this place not have higher reviews?! I got the falafel and eggplant sandwich but as a tortilla wrap, with the fries on the side. It came with this delicious sauce that I think was tamarind. The dolmas were also great, real fresh and warm dolmas not the canned kind that some places sell and upcharge the heck out of. They even gave us some tasty soup while we were waiting for our order to get made. Overall great food for the price point, take out held up very well on the drive home, and better quality than any other Mediterranean spot in this area.“
“A gem of a hole-in-the-wall! Incredibly delicious food and great portions. The shawarma in particular was my favorite. Fast and friendly service, too. Definitely recommend stopping in for delicious Mediterranean food whenever you're down by Pike Place Market.“
“Amazing, unique schmear flavors and bagels. I have seen some complaints about the price ($5 for bagel + schmear) but considering how generous they are with the schmear and that nearby coffee shops charge $7 for a pastry I don't think they're asking for too much. Plus the schmear flavors cannot be found anywhere else! Employees have always been nice“
“Food was great! Very tasty, and the environment was big and clean. Only complaint I have is they are VERY STINGY with their sauce ?. my gyro had no tzatziki sauce at all. And my Greek fries had little to no sauce at all I honestly thought I had someone else’s order. I then went up to the counter to purchase the sauce which I don’t mind paying extra for , but the guy almost charged me 8$ for the 2 very small cups of sauce. It was comical. They size of sauce is about the size of a dime. I do recommend this restaurant and will be back for lunch today none the less.“
“The tradition of finding some of the best food in the most unassuming places could not be more true of Ishtar. This was our first time here and even though we're dans of a hole in the wall, even we were suspicious. But it was a slam dunk. The owner was awesome, service was friendly and familiar, and we learned they have been open for 10 years, surviving COVID. Could not recommend this place more.We got the chicken tikka and the lamb gyro, both were excellent. When you're craving a gyro, come here.“
“We just moved to the area and were looking for somewhere to get takeout that would be open late on a week night. Went in with no real expectations, we were just happy they were open at 9PM, but my boyfriend, the guests we had over and I absolutely loved the food. Easily the best middle eastern food we've had in King county. It smelled amazing as soon as we walked into the restaurant, the staff was friendly, the portions were big, and the food was great. My only regret was not getting one of each type of baklava they had. Definitely want to come back to eat in.“
“This is my second time going there I got myself lamb&beef shawarma also spicy chicken shawarma with the sauce that gives a little kick to it sheeeeeeesh & let me tell you this, it was fresh well seasoned, amazing full of flavors, healthy & delicious. This is by far the best shawarma I had Mashallah.“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Greek Express, and it was an absolute culinary delight! The Traditional Pita was a standout, delivering a burst of Mediterranean flavors that left me thoroughly impressed. The Traditional Pita Gyro at Greek Express was not just delicious but also boasted the perfect consistency. Each bite was a symphony of authentic tastes that truly captured the essence of Mediterranean cuisine. Kudos to the chef for crafting such a delectable masterpiece! What's even more commendable is the excellent value for money. The portion size was generous, and the price was incredibly reasonable for the delightful feast I enjoyed. Greek Express has successfully struck a perfect balance between quality and affordability. In conclusion, Greek Express has earned my highest praise for its exceptional Traditional Pita. If you're craving authentic Mediterranean fare that's both delicious and reasonably priced, look no further than Greek Express. I'm already looking forward to my next visit! Here's to a fantastic dining experience at Greek Express!“
“Turkish pide is now something I will look for, thanks to Istanbul Cuisine in Bellevue, WA. The taste, texture, aroma, and presentation of their pide was WOW! Everything about it was delightful and balanced - every bite was delicious! We also love their Ciq Kofte and Kunefe - rich and satisfying! A must try for those who seek well-made food.“
“First visit, quite impressed! This might just be currently the best late night into early morning hr's more casual style, non fast food, real deal offering in the entire Seattle area! Tried two platters: Charmoula chicken plate and the Lam shank roast both where delicious. Customer service was friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend and looking forward to next time. New favorite late night into early morning eatery! -St.Rick "Line out the door" and "Car trunk take out" Hobby ProPS. Bonus: 38 Reviews is nothing for such a real deal, superstars of Seattle late night place, lets all get Casablanca Express some more honest and fair reviews!“
“Just before attending a party at the lounge, we decided to have a quick bite here. This place was in the same lane as ‘The Chapel lounge’. We tried Falafel sandwich and Chicken shawarma. Both were decent. We happened to stop here post party midnight to have hot dogs. My husband and friends LOVED the beef hot dog from the cart just outside this restaurant. If you get a chance, do try their hot dog (just meat) with onions and cream cheese! Hope you all find it delicious too ?Vegetarian options: We tried Falafel sandwich, Vegan hotdog“
“I cannot recommend this place enough. The shredded beef baguette has my heart. And the fries with the pesto aioli????? Lots of good breakfast options, other sandwiches, and of course byrek! Great atmosphere, nice plants, kind staff.I couldn't believe when the u district location closed - it is my great hope that this one would continue to thrive and never leave. So underrated.“
“Update: I appreciate the bar owner or manager Erik for reaching out after I'd had poor experience with some employees and refunded my bill. He explained that staff changes have occurred since my visit. I'm updating my review to reflect the quick response and correction from the management, who could have otherwise ignored my feedback.“
“I make it a point to stop at Sahara Cafe every time I'm near the airport! I always get the lamb gyro plate because it was so delicious the first time I ordered it. It comes with meat sautéed with peppers and onions, rice, salad, cooked greens, and a banana. The meat is super tender and flavorful. I love the rice; they give you a lot of it! The salad can get very wilty next to the hot food, so I recommend to eat that right away. The greens are flavorful and delicious! Also try the red and green hot sauces! They knock my socks off with spiciness, so make sure you do a taste test before dumping them on. I've always done take out, but there is an indoor seating area attached that is open for dine-in. They do large orders for local community members, so make sure you order early. I wait at least 30 minutes most times I order from there. Another struggle is the parking. There's a tiny drive beside the restaurant for parking and often cars park on the sidewalk. It can be a little scary but well worth the hassle!“
