“Stopped by for the first time on Fat Tuesday and I am glad I did. Grabbed some jambalaya for myself and the wife along with a piece of King Cake. The jambalaya might have been the best I've ever had. If not it was real close. I loved it! The rice was cooked perfectly and the sausage and chicken were both delicious. The cake was ok, not the best I've had but that's alright. I did get the baby, so there's that.If I had a complaint it's that the gumbo wasn't available. I really wanted to try it. I don't like that it is only available once a week, same with the jambalaya. But I will be back to try it for sure.“
“This place was hands down, the best part of my Portland experience. This is a god-awful city with bums and closed businesses everywhere. However, this restaurant is like what America used to be, good food at reasonable prices. Very clean and the staff are friendly.“
“Look at that fat piece of steak. I got the Philly cheese omelet for v-day and hotcakes but that's my own jelly to go. The service at 8am was superb fast and efficient with such good energy. Thank you guys for being open so early man. Super yummy breakfast.“
“I love Denny's. They even had a new strawberry French toast thing that I've never tried before that was absolutely amazing!! Normally I just get Cinnamon roll pancake meal, I recommend the French toast, if you haven't tried it!! They are HUGE portions. I was definitely surprised to see how big they were. I thought they were going to be tiny little portions. Dennys is really cleaning up their act too. This isn't the best area, due to the homeless/addicts but they have really gotten a hold on the issue recently. Very impressed with the African American lady that served us too. She was working ALONE for most of our time there & handled it very well & she accommodated us very well. 10/10 on service.Parking: Lots of parking usuallyKid-friendliness: Kid friendly yes“
“Food 3 starService 5 starOverall 4 star experienceI am a bit of a hypocrite, I love breakfast… I don’t loooove diners. With that said, Star Dust wasn’t the worst.Staff people were all great, the food was meh but that was expected. I came here on a whim while my dog was in for a longer appt at Pacific Northwest Clinic.I got a hash, the over medium egg was on the rare side (lots of snotty white bits). I would go back if there was a reason I outside of my own to do so.This place goes toe to toe with Elmer’s.“
