“I went with my friends a couple weeks ago and had the nicest time. I had the Brick Chicken and mash potatoes and it was delicious. the Brownie was oohie gooie good too. Our waitress, Mariah, was so fun and helpful. The whole dinner was unexpectedly good :). I'm writing this here now because, I am still thinking about how good it was and wondering how soon is too soon to go back :). Thanks Mariah and Hollywood Tavern :)“

“Tatum was outstanding! What a horrible day I was having. Ending up getting towed to the shop next door to locust. While walking away from my dead car I realized I was in the parking lot of locust cider! Tatum made my day!!! She was kind and patient and very beautiful (inside and out!). “We just were looking for a drink and visit and this was perfect. Several outdoor options each with their own vibe. Has heaters everywhere so we enjoyed outside away from most. Inside was loud and warm and just where you would want to be to celebrate a local team victory. The wood-fired pizza smelled so good.“

“What SUPRISE! From the outside I thought I was walking into a dive bar. Then I walked in and it was indeed a dive bar. It was awesome. Dart boards, pool table, tvs everywhere! The drinks were so reasonably priced i thought they made a mistake. I had a burger and fries and it was EXACTLY what I expected! Uncanny. No this is not a 5 star establishment, this is a dive bar and a darn good one.“

“It's a pirate themed dive / sports bar. Karaoke on Saturdays is worth showing up for. The house drinks are strong and they even managed to make a decent old fashioned with buffalo trace burbon. People were easy to talk to and the drinks were priced reasonably. I will be back.“

“Had dinner at Anderson School's Tavern on the Square. Roasted Brussels sprouts were outstanding. Grilled chicken salad had best dressing I've ever tasted. Entree was asada style NY steak and fries topped with chimichurri. Fries and chimichurri the best. Steak on the other hand was terrible. About a third gristle, the rest cold and tough as leather. I ordered medium rare. It looked just right so it wasnt the cooking, rather just a lousy cut. Nevertheless been to T on S before, loved it and will definitely go back. Just won't order steak again.“

“I was at The Lodge for an afternoon reception and wedding, and Father Mulligan's has an extremely convenient happy hour from 2-5PM on Friday and Saturday. Suffice it to say, we stopped by to down a drink or two before the festivities.

The bartenders were very friendly and the cocktail of the day was a fruity vodka/cranberry/grapefruit cocktail topped with a fruity sour. It was very drinkable and our orders came out quickly.

Their wine list also has some unique gems on it, definitely worth a look.

Last week a guy was using a loop pedal and a violin. So cool. Also saw they have Karaoke Saturdays.. hmm?? Sounds fun. And I love they have darts, pool, and Big Buck Hunter!! Rad.“

“I have to say, of everybody that tends at this bar Nicole stands out in a way that can’t be ignored. She is consistent and extremely hard working. Each and every time I come up she is ready to go with a pleasant smile on her face. She does it all. There is a few tenders here that talk smack about people I know and are less than ready to do their job. Nicole truly stands out. She deserves a raise and Bert’s tavern truly does not know the talents that have acquired. BRAVO.“

“We had nice service—attentive but not intrusive. Just had eggs and bacon. The eggs were fine. Bacon was badly burnt. I couldn't eat it all. At 10:00 it was nice and quiet. I requested a quiet table and we we seated in a room with no one. When we left about 12:30, every table filled and quite loud. Our server said Saturdays are always busy.“
