“I stopped in Sunday morning at the 11am opening time. I had the place to myself and had the pleasure of hanging out with Justin. The , he served me up some amazing ribs. So tender and full of flavors. Alongside these he served me this amazing side of smoked chicken pasta salad (get it!). I ate almost all of the Cole slaw which I never do. Both it and the potato salad I received had like a German flair to them. Both also some of the best I’ve had anywhere. Hidden gem only 35 minutes from the house! Thanks, guys!“

“I grew up in Burlington and have been coming here since I was a child. I took my fiance here to try it and he loved it as much as I do. They are closed in winter which sucks (but makes total sense). The custard is amazing and the prices are still reasonable. Every time I come here (which isn't as much as I'd like) I am reminded of my childhood and how it felt coming here with my parents and friends when I was older. The people there are friendly even though most of them are teens working but they work hard and are appreciated for sure! There is a SMALL area to sit inside and eat but I usually take my order to go and eat in the car or at the park across the street if it's nice enough out. I hope this place stays around for many many more years so I can bring my son and future children here. And maybe their children too?? (Hopefully).“

“I stopped in today by chance, I was hungry and have passed this place several times over the years. This place was amazing. I had a cheeseburger which was delicious. My girlfriend had the Nashville chicken Flatbread which was also delicious. We also had the wonton cheese sticks, they were awesome. Our waitress Makayla was great, very friendly and had great knowledge of the menu items. The bar tender Emily also greeted us and asked how the drinks were. Great place, very clean and welcoming. “I was in Burlington for work reasons and tried Sheila Mae's for breakfast. They have an excellent menu with lots of reasonably priced options. I had the "Burly Breakfast" consisting of two eggs, three pancakes, bacon, toast, and coffee. It was very good.The restaurant is small, with a cozy atmosphere. You seat yourself, and if you need the restroom you have to walk down a flight of stairs. Not very handicap accessible. Wait staff was very competent.Overall a good experience.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome. “This place was so awesome I went twice in a week. A friend and I drove from Chicago to Lake Geneva for a convention and just happened to drive by. We stopped on a whim, as we were getting hungry and looking for somewhere to eat.When I say this place is good, I mean IT IS GOOD. I ordered the Cubby's Club and was not disappointed. This sandwich is what all other club sandwiches aspire to be. It was wrapped, then heated on the outside, delicious. My daughter had a grilled cheese with tomato with onion rings, she loved it. “It was a busy night tonight for sure. I waited two hours plus for my food to be delivered and it came cold and missing items. I called and talked to a very nice and patient manager I believe her name was Jen. We knew this was not the norm for service and food cause I’ve been ordering for 8 plus years. “We never knew this place existed until stumbling upon it on Google Maps. It literally looks like just a house with a small sign out front. The bartender was very personable and the owner was the sweetest. Food was excellent! My boyfriend got the reuben which he loved! Thick sandwich with REAL meat (not lunch meat slices!) I got the garlic-lime shrimp skewers which were smokey and delicious! We can't wait to go back for the fish fry which seems to have amazing reviews! Glad we found this place!“

I had the country skillet, and it was good, but I am not a fan of sliced up sausage in my gravy. I prefer crumbled sausage. Sadly, the coffee was weak as it is in most restaurants. “I had never been here but heard good things about the place. Finally got to try it a couple weeks ago. The atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly. The food was fantastic! I had a couple small concerns with the service, but as I said it was my first time here so I don't know what their normal is. The waitress was very attentive to start and quite friendly. After the food was delivered, she didn't stop by much. She did check once but later would have been nice for additional napkins or another drink but she didn't come around. Not sure if she was letting us enjoy our food or wasn't paying attention to us. The other concern I had is becoming more common everywhere BUT it would have been nice to be warned that there was an extra fee for using a credit card. It wasn't a ridiculous amount but it would have been nice to be told when I handed over my credit card because I could have used cash instead. Overall, a good experience and the menu has more items that sound pretty good! Might need to try it again!“
