It was easy to book a reservation online, and our server was extremely knowledgeable about both the food and drink menus, and was able and willing to offer specific recommendations for us based on our requests/feedback. Parking was a little tough, but we did visit on the same night as a Brewers home game, and it still wasn’t terrible (no worse than anywhere downtown or Bay View or the East Side. Overall, it was a great experience and the price point was dead on - not “cheap” but certainly not overpriced; I’d come back any time.“

“Wonderful Greek Cafe located in Tosa. Ordered the pita and hummus as an appetizer and loved how fresh the hummus was. Will definitely be back to get some hummus to go to have at home. Their falafel pita was delicious, and the amount of meat that was on their Mediterranean salad was more than generous, enough for leftovers. The inside of the Cafe is pretty small with a few tables, and you order at the counter. There's also a few tables outside which is where we sat. Service was great and the staff was very friendly. Highly recommend!“

“Every trip to Mad Rooster is excellent. I may get loud for some people, but that is because everyone enjoys themselves there. The food quality and preparation is top notch, and they hosts and servers are always helpful and pleasant. Come early or be prepared to wait, and the parking lot is limited, but there is an adjacent lot very close by. She was knowledgeable and provided us with recommendations that didn’t disappoint! We started with the salad/relish tray, garlic bread, and the bacon sticks that were melt-in-your-mouth delicious. My husband had the prime rib, I had the ribeye, and we ordered the green beans and crab mac and cheese to share. We also ordered the key lime pie and cheesecake for dessert. “We like going to the Melting Pot. The week before we eat, we went to the restaurant without a reservation, it was a two hour wait, so we left. The following week we made reservations for 6pm. Got there at 5:50pm. We didn't get seated until almost 6:30pm. Almost a half an hour after reservation time. Our food server Emily was amazing! Great food.“

Service was very good despite being busy & they gave us a free choice of a sugar cookie or chocolate chip cookie to all in party when check was received. Nice surprise. “My favorite steak in town…. “Steak au Poivre” can be found at this great French restaurant (French not not haughty) in Wauwatosa. Favorite steak as it tastes great, and presented well. Sliced on an angle and sauced with a red wine black peppercorn reduction, it has just enough char on the outside to balance the medium rare I love inside. Along with taste, I love that it comes with my fav vegetables-haricot vertes and absolutely perfect French fries! So unlike popular steak restaurants, at LaReve you get more than just meat for the list price! Yum + Yay! The desserts? They are as gorgeous as they are delicious! The case is filled with sweet perfection, each one more beautiful than the next! Just so hard to pick which on.! And the macrons are iconic-crisp outside and soft chewy inside, take a few home with you! But what a treat to find a Kir Royale on the menu last night at dinner before a show! I’m sure it’s a direct effect of Emily in Paris Season 3, but maybe I just never noticed it on the menu before! I served these for Christmas ten years ago and when I saw Emily working on an ad campaign, I just knew they’d start to show up on menus soon. Lucky me! Bon Appetite! This place is great for a girls lunch or business lunch, A friends dinner or date night!“

“A group of seven of us went there on Monday night. The overall experience left us with mixed feelings. Scallop Specials: Introduced by the staff serviced our table. It's too Salty, also it's more expensive compared to other main dishes on the dinner menu. Chicken & Mushroom Risotto: it tasted fine, but not to my standard. Tip Calculated Automatically One aspect that caught us off guard was the automatic tip calculation. Without asking, the restaurant included the tip in our total bill. While we appreciate the convenience, it would have been nice to have the option to adjust the tip based on our experience. Warmth of Service Unfortunately, we didn't feel particularly well-treated during our visit. The staff efficiently took our orders and delivered the food promptly, but there was a lack of warmth or personal touch. A smile or a friendly chat can go a long way in enhancing the dining experience.“

Aside from the delicious soups, pot roast and fish frys', it's folks like the ever loyal and longtime server, Dana, Lindsey, Tricia, Christina, Darcy, Tanya and then there's the funny, and patient gentleman greeter who coordinates and makes sure that the people flow is smooth and effortless. I appreciate the ability to see the love waitlist - somehow watching it get shorter makes the wait less cumbersome.I tried several things from the menu, and I would recommend all of them. The stir fry was delicious but the pho was beyond all expectations! The portion sized was HUGE - I ate my fill for dinner and still took home a filled-to-the-brim quart of pho. “It was a busy Saturday night with both bridal and prom parties being served and so it was a bit noisy. Servers were busy moving tables around after the parties left and so were somewhat inattentive to our table. But the food was delicious. The Hollander version of a Reuben, with turkey and ham instead of corned beef, was excellent as were the fries that were served hot. There is a wonderful menu with explanations of the tap beers.“

“Buffets are valuable for people who don't know an ethnic cuisine very well, and this weekday lunch buffet was close to us, and the choices were not overwhelming (which can be a problem). We tried most things, therefore. The flavors were interesting, the dominant ingredients being curries with small amounts of meat. The Tandoor chicken may have had white meat earlier, but there were only legs and parts of thighs for us. The Naan helped to balance the flavors and the mango ice cream had a strange icy texture, but it closed out the meal nicely. The service was helpful and the atmosphere somewhat cafe-like. The $15.95 price is common for Indian restaurants, both for buffet and entree.“

“My husband and I have been coming to this eatery since it reopened under new ownership with Carlos who had formerly been the cook at the North Avenue Grill for several years. Though we will not be returning customers to this eatery, it's no reason for me/us to discourage others from eating here. The food is delicious. It's served hot and fresh. And we also prefer to do business with small businesses such as the Midtown Grill. But on our last recent visit, and this was not the first mishap, my food was not served as I had ordered, but I didn't complain. On this last visit, I didn't complain either, but I did exclaim to our wait person that I was unhappy with my platter. The Huevo Ranchero eggs were, and I had asked for two, instead of the three, overcooked, and it was too salty for me to enjoy. Well, as I watched the wait person walk away, I noted that the server engaged the cooks re: my food and from their body language it was obvious that my constructive critique was not received in good form. Shoulders were shrugged, and this implied to me that they didn't care. This behavior told me everything I needed to know re: my customer satisfaction. This is unfortunate because we enjoyed coming to this laid back eatery. We were provided a discount of which I DID NOT ask for, and I tried to explain to the server that it wasn't necessary, but I was left speaking to their back as they chose to walk away. This behavior towards me was rude and disrespectful. If an establishment does not want need or want your business, the wait staff can certainly help to make or break a customer's spirit.“

“I was trying to think of a reason to give this place less than 5 stars on anything and I couldn't think of a single one. Food was absolutely amazing, every part of the meal including the fries. Service was great, everyone was working hard back in the open kitchen. Amosphere was awesome, I'm Canadian but I really enjoyed the national anthem at mid-day I think it's very true to the roots of what I believe this place wants to represent. We were about to leave when the manager came over and offered him a cookie to calm him down. Amazing. I love the vegetarian fat noodles they’ve had on the menu during the winter season, seriously mouth watering.. but pretty spicy (the Thai chilis they put in there are no joke and last time I was crying at the table for a good 25mins because I accidentally ate one), I wish there was a warning about that. The staff and service were excellent. We had the bottom floor to ourselves and it gave us a cozy atmosphere to reminisce. The bar was right upstairs if anyone needed a stronger spirit than what our hostess and host provided. Everyone had a great time and a few lingered afterwards.
