“Have always loved Panera Bread and this is a great location. Did a mobile order for dinner and they got my order correct including some customized veggies. My order was done promptly and presented well. The interior was up to Panera standard and the staff was friendly. Would recommend this location.Wheelchair accessibility: Location is wheelchair accessible“
“Great café that we went to based on the available vegetarian options. Tasted great and definitely will come back for more. Service was great, and willing to help us choose menu items and have a great meal.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian options galore, and caters to gluten-free.“
“They get very busy around the eating hours. So it's difficult to call ahead for an order to go. If you call when their not busy, they will take your call and you can order ahead of time. Remember they put Zippy sauce on the chicken sandwich. I ask for no sauce, It can get a little sloppy. Awesome sandwich though!“
“The best all-around. Food is always awesome. I love the pork and cheese pupusas. Espresso drinks are sometimes scalded, but that's really the only complaint I have. Great prices too.Kid-friendliness: No kids menu. Used to have pancakes but they must have taken them off the menu. Not great for a picky eater.“
“Why hadn't I been here before? Went for breakfast with my husband and was impressed with how easy the experience was. The menu is pretty extensive. You order at the counter, and they give you a number. We grabbed a table. The food was prompt even though almost all tables were full. We each got a breakfast burrito. My veggie one was packed with ingredients and was rolled well so it didn't fall apart as you eat. This is a larger dining area than I expected, with large windows so it's bright inside. Coffee and condiments are all self-service. They have the to-go boxes out. I love when places do this so you don't have to ask a server for every little thing. They have thought things through. We will return.“
“Not just my favorite local coffee shop, my FAVORITE coffee shop. Love all their seasonal drinks (and that I can order my favorites online year-round). Make sure to pair with a chocolate chip orange muffin for best results! Nice outdoor seating area as well.“
“It was so busy on weekend morning that I was surprised when I got the food at about what felt like faster than a normal restaurant experience. Delicious sweet potato hash browns. The young staff were very friendly and energetic. Relaxing painted dining area with nice decorations. Can be a little noisy even with a high ceiling because a lot of the customers talk but I assume it’s because they feel comfortable and cozy and also there a a lot of tables in the space“
“Good food, ample seating, many board games. I like that if you spend money on food and drinks, which I'm probably going to anyway, then there's no board game fee. The menu has a lot of options and the service is quick. I am interested in going to their events, but I wish the location was closer to downtown. I guess the parking is one benefit if the farther location though.“
“Been a childhood favorite of mine, and still holds to be the best food in Madison despite new owners!! There are vegan options available which are good, but I still dream about the pizza kind of ones from when i was a kid ?? the crust is absolutely beautiful and cooked to perfection!!!!“
“We love chocolate in our family, and after a hike at the Arboretum decided to stop here. I was already a little familiar as I had been gifted some truffles last year and was eager to check it out. We had a really nice time - we had just been intending to get some truffles but were informed that since it was our first time, we each got a free truffle. They have some really amazing flavor profiles, including some adventurous ones. The spicy peanut butter truffle I tried had some heat to it! We tried some coffee drinks as well (I got an amazing ghost pepper latte) and one of my kids got a kiddie cappucino. We do have a non-chocolate fan, but they also had some other candies he was happy to try - overall it was a nice visit (we even ended up getting a nice gift for a family member's upcoming birthday) and we hope to be back!“
“Friendly, comfortable, and welcoming. Came on a Sunday for lunch. I was able to find parking on the street and come right in. I ordered the firefly wrap, the special shamrock shake, and a couple pastries for later. The wrap was brought to the table and was stuffed with tons of chicken and avocado. It seemed hearty enough that it could be split between two people if desired. Great flavor. Love that there is plenty of space and seating even on a weekend at lunch. This was my first time here and I hope to be back soon!“
“Checked out this cute little coffee shop/ knitting shop in downtown Verona. I had a danish, which was amazing. So flakey and perfect. I paired that with a hot matcha latte. The cutest little shop, with a lot of neat little trinkets from local businesses. I also snagged a sticker! There’s also a whole knitting shop, with patterns, supplies, knitting needles. A worker named Julia found my friend and I, and gave us a tour of the knitting rooms. She also gave us a ton of info and gave us a business card. They hold classes if you want to learn how to knit.Such a cute little place. The staff was so kind!I may have to check out one of their classes. And I’ll definitely be back again for coffee!“
“I really love this place for the cozy community atmosphere and I come here often. Generally I’m really happy with the quality of food for the price. However, recently I got a panini for $11 and felt it was over priced considering there was only one slice of meet and 2 tomato slices in the panini with a side of chips.“
“Garth's is special not only due to their wide selection of rotating taps and large selection of craft beers/seltzers/ciders that you can purchase, but they also allow you to bring in food to eat which offers a ton of flexibility for anyone looking for a relaxed environment to have a drink. There's also a self-serve water/utensil station that allows people to enjoy their meals and stay hydrated effortlessly.I really enjoy coming here with my family to play some board games or just watch the hustle & bustle of Monroe street over a cold beverage. Staff have always been courteous and attentive during my visits, and the place is always very clean which goes a long way in creating a welcoming atmosphere.“
“The coolest bubble tea shop in this area! The vibes/furniture are more traditional tea shop but there are multiple outlets at most seats and the menu is very creative with combination of traditional teas and interesting flavors. For-here drinks are served in glass mugs which is very eco-friendly. There's a sizeable collection of books and board games and lots of natural lighting. There's also a small food menu and the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable.“
“This place has some of the BEST coffee in Madison. But the real reason I'll keep coming back is because of the OUTSTANDING customer service. Lucy remembered me and my coffee order after only one visit!! This will forever be one of my favorite spots!“
“Fantastic bakery and breakfast menu, quinticential diner feel in an old house! Great coffee and pastries, great vegan options, too!Vegetarian options: Every meat option food has at least one vegan or vegetarian option, three or four types protein offered. Super place to enjoy a meal with friends.“
“My favorite coffee shop in Madison! I have a severe gluten allergy and they were very accommodating and knowledgeable, and made me a breakfast sandwich with a gluten free bagel in the oven instead of the panini press to avoid cross contamination. The coffee is incredible and if you can manage to get a table, the environment is awesome.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bagels/breakfast sandwiches“
“I’ve been to this location twice now. I love the decor, the lighting etc. it does get busy! So it can be hard to find seating. So come early! Now on to the food..I’ve had the Hella Stella sandwich with sweet potato fries. She’s a messy sandwich but she’s so worth it!That sandwich is insanely good. WowI’ve also had a hot latte there, and they don’t skimp on the size!Highly recommend coming here for breakfast or brunch!“
“This is the diner I've been looking for! My go to is a grilled cheese with bacon and the sandwich here was top of its class. The fries and bacon were both crispy.Service was efficient. At 12:30 on a Thursday, every table was full and some parties had a brief wait for tables. I assume that it's chaos on weekends.Prices are exceptionally reasonable. My grilled cheese with bacon and fries was $7.83. Total with coffee, sandwich & fries and 2 desserts to go was $16.77.“
“I’m amazed today! Best $42 I’ve spent all year! I’m looking forward to bumping into this business, especially if they’re setting up a tent at JUJU’s BLOCK PARTY AGAIN THIS YEAR!!! YAYY POWER NUTRITION❤️?Kid-friendliness: Dear kids and adults, you can buy any drink on the menu in a kid’s size. Fair?!“
“Happy to see this new location thriving! Coffee is good with variety of options available but not too many it becomes overwhelming - lots of options for tea drinkers as well! The food is amazing - highly recommend the Java Club as it was one of the best sandwiches i've had in a while - and in a market with ever increasing prices this place feels very fairly priced for what you get. Coupled with the fun atmosphere and art on the walls highly recommend checking this place out.Note that parking can be difficult - if busy times of the day parking across the street is much easier than hoping you can find a spot in the tiny parking lot“
“Stopped in for a latte. It was very good...rich coffee flavor, not overly bitter, with a smooth consistency. I generally skip syrups, but for those who like the added flavor, they use high quality 1883 Maison Routin syrups. I'll have to stop in again sometime to try the food. Everything looks good.“
“This is a solid spot for coffee in town. I don’t visit often because it can be busy with college students and hard to find seating, but the coffee is good and it’s fun to get coffee and walk through campus or to the lake! Parking is available a few blocks away on garages or on the street, so be prepared to navigate that!“
“The rooms are the full boutique experience. Clean and posh with lots of fun character of the old creamery that used to be there. The kitchen was actually the most spectacular experience. We had easter brunch and holy cow, everything was soooo delicious. The beef with garlic was to die for, the mac n cheese was truly the best i ever had and everything else on the buffet was top notch. Youre missing out if you dont go there soon!!“
“The location offers excellent indoor seating. They take advantage of a building that was a first in terms of malls. I believe that was early 20th century. The grilled cheese sandwich was great. The coffee choices are a nice variety. Outdoor seating in nice weather is also excellent.“
“Came here for breakfast. I was excited for crepes, but wasn't excited about the choices. I would have liked to see an asparagusy- goat cheesy option. I ended up choosing the Crepe Supreme, which should have been called a southwest crepe. The filling was quite good, but didn't work with the crepe exterior. It should have been a tortilla. My matcha was fine- I've had better, I've had worse. All in all, I think the food was good enough for a return trip.“
“Fair Trade is truly the quintessential Madison coffee shop, filled with interesting people (staff & patrons both), a view of State St and delicious coffee drinks - this place is a gem.So many downtown Madison locals make this their dedicated coffee shop because it just feels good to be there. The owners have put in so much work to cultivate a chill & welcoming yet bustling energy in the shop. Stop in to grab a speciality drink & people-watch over State Street in the front window for a good time :)“
“Love this place! Lots of seating, plus several small rooms that can be booked for free for meetings, including one specifically set up for podcast recording! Great selection of drinks and locally made baked goods, including the incredible vegan Level 5 donuts.“
“Goodness, I love this place. The food is amazing and the vibes are stellar. I've gotten a couple of the weekly meal kits and been thrilled with them, too. I especially recommend the smashed potatoes.Parking: Street parking plus a small lot next to the ice cream place next door.“
“Amazing place to visit and enjoy the delicious food and pastries they offer there. The bread is amazing, whether you are looking to get some homemade baguette or get yourself something sweet like a macaroon. La Baguette is the place to go. Nice and cozy, real French coffee shop and bakery. I truly recommend it!??“
“Recently took a trip to Madison, WI and stayed here with my girlfriend. A few words that describe our stay would be: historic, whimsical, mysterious, & romantic. We stayed in The Thrope Room #205. The bedroom was historic and cozy. The bathroom was modernized, but also works well with the classic feel of the room. There was a plaque the described the history behind the name of our room, which made it even more special. The living room area when you enter is breathtaking and has a Museum like feel. During our stay, we saw almost no one at all the whole time. It felt like we had the Mansion to ourselves, which made the stay even more memorable. That location is perfect, walking distance to the museum of contemporary art, restaurants, and cafés. Behind the mansion is a large backyard that leads to a lake for an amazing view. This was truly an experience that we won’t forget anytime soon.A few things to note: there isn’t anyone on site typically who you can speak with if you have questions, but we did not mind at all because the staff was just one email a way. I spoke with Andrew a few times to learn more about the rules and check out times. He was accommodating and made sure to answer the majority of my questions. The scones and coffee were a nice touch. If I had to be critical about anything at all, which honestly there isn’t much, I would say that you should bring your own bottles of water when staying here. They do have water that is cold on site, but it tastes like tap water. That is only if you are particular on your fresh water. For the price, the location, the decor, this is an unbeatable place to stay. The next time we are in Madison, I will definitely hope to book this again and strive to reserve The Ole Bull Room.Thank you ?“
“I live right next to the building, so this has become my go-to coffee spot. The coffee is good but not great, They have a range of options as well as some good-looking pastries that I have not sampled a whole lot yet. The staff is friendly and helpful.“
“My girlfriend and I went to get some food at Wahlburgers and ordering was fast. No line. I had my food surprisingly fast but she had to wait for quite a while. Turns out it was a mix up in the kitchen. It really wasn't a big issue but they comped her meal and upgraded it for free. The cook came out and apologized for the mistake. The food was very good and worth the wait. I told them it was no big deal and we will be coming back for sure !!Parking: They have a good size parking lot. Lots of spaces.Wheelchair accessibility: Seemed to be fully wheel chair accessible.“
“I order pick-up orders from here all the time, and it's great. Get their app and order from there. It saves a ton of time even if you just order it 5-10 mins before you get to the cafe and you can rack up loyalty points for free stuff. My favs are the sugar river bowl with chicken (extra dressing is a must or the lettuce on the bottom stays quite dry) and the capital city breakfast sandwich (the sriracha-tomato spread is amazing and not super spicy).Their espresso isn't my favorite ever but it's good enough that I have ordered plenty of lattes from here :)“
