“For a chain breakfast restaurant, it was very good. The service was attentive and speedy, especially considering it was a busy Sunday morning. We had the biscuit and gravy, the works omelette and the farmhouse skillet. They all looked great, with fresh ingredients and were cooked perfectly. We especially liked the avocado, eggs, and potatoes in the skillet. It was very balanced both in texture and taste. The mocha mint iced coffee was a great finishing dessert. I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely return in the future.“

Variety but they WERE good. And I got the grilled cheese (called something else I don't remember) less the tomato but added ham. Perfectly toasted melty deliciousness.“

Once we got past him, our experience was overwhelmingly positive. We ordered two appetizers: mushrooms and spinach dip. The mushrooms were exceptional. 5/5. The spinach dip was okay but nothing to write home about 3/5Our group ordered mostly steaks although my wife ordered the Parmesan chicken with ribs. My ribeye was perfect. 5/5 Her chicken was good but I didn’t try the ribs. The bones slid out so at minimum they were overcooked. Our server Keegan was exceptional, attentive and friendly. 5/6“

I had ordered an iced coffee which was coffee pour over ice (I was expecting creamer with it) Jose had no problem bringing over creamer for me which made it so much better! If I were a richer woman, I would walk in and get one of everything on the menu. The first time I tried it, I was so impressed, that the next night when I had reservations to another "foodie" Restaurant, I left after appetizers and came back to Odd Duck. This place makes me want to bring them little duckies. And I don't say that lightly. I want to hold them and love them and make them mine. The restaurant, that is. Not the ducks. Those I could leave or take. BUT I love the place so Much, that I accept and respect their love for the ducks and will take them just as they are. Am I proposing to a restaurant? Mayhaps. “Why have I waited for 5 years here in MKE to try this? Tonight, I took my father out to dinner. He is nearly 87 and pretty much loves steak. I'm vegetarian. Therefore, finding a place that has quality food for both of us is a chore. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with kindness. The staff was exceptional. Our waitress, Mayah was as thoughtful, intuitive and fantastic as the best customer service goals could envision. But, the big thing, besides the beautiful, elegant space right across from Lake Michigan, was the meal. Bacchus offers several options for a fixed price meal. And, at $70, it is a serious deal. I found the vegetarian options inspired. I had the LACLARE GOAT CHEESE CURDS: blueberry compote, arugula, smoked walnuts, macerated blueberry, vanilla, and Tellicherry peppercorn. For my main course I had the butternut squash risotto. And, for afters, the pear and sunflower. My father went straight for the filet mignon. So, the result was a big thumbs up, 5 stars. Kudos also for actually having a vegetarian menu, being super accommodating to my father in his mobility scooter (holding the doors open, etc.) and lastly, thank you to the valet parking attendant for being so speedy and gracious. Go.“

We had about a 25 minute wait which was cool. Once we got seated, we were greeted by our waitress. The wait staff is not like an ordinary staff. They are a group of people that look like they just put on whatever is clean and come to work. You really don’t know who works there as the restaurant staff look like the average customer. . , it’s kinda weird, but it works. Our waitress was awesome! We had the Buffalo chicken BLT wrap with hand cut fries and creamy coleslaw and the spicy chicken quesadilla with tortilla chips w/salsa and sour cream. “Absolutely fantastic! After a long day of traveling and an afternoon walking all around Milwaukee, I came to Buckley’s with my parents for dinner. This converted home has been turned into a fancy-casual restaurant with an exquisite atmosphere. I tried the Broccoli starter, which came with a nice miso tahini sauce that provided a unique flavor. The Buckley Burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The meat itself was so high quality and full of flavor, and the crisp brioche bun and toppings and condiments complimented the burger perfectly. I also had the Lobster pasta and it lives up to how delicious a lobster dish has to be. Absolute class when it came to combining the lemon and tomato flavors with the lobster in a light pasta dish. My Dad also says the salmon dish he had was really good. For dessert, it was hard to choose which of Mrs. Buckley’s items to get. We got the famous carrot cake and the seasonal St. Patrick’s cheesecake. All I know is that Mrs. Buckley doesn’t miss! Both desserts were so delicious and the high quality showed once again. The service was great, too. We were never rushed even with the restaurant being packed. The waitress was very nice, answered questions, and told us a little bit about the Buckley family. On top of everything mentioned, the pricing was very good and the portions were large. Overall, this is a restaurant I trust after my first visit. You can’t go wrong with Buckley’s. 5 STARS!!!!!“

Asked for a wine list to pick a wine to go with dessert, and she more less just handed it over and walked away. Then it took her 20min to bring dessert.“

“Lagniappe Brasserie has been a favorite gem of a restaurant of mine for many years. Chef Andrew Tenaglia never fails to bring fresh, locally sourced food to the table. In all the years of operation, I have have never had a bad meal and the service has always been spectaculator. I was happy to hear about and support curb-side pick up during the COVID-19 epidemic. I encourage to place an order or two to help support this local independently owned and operated area restaurant so they will be there for us in the future.“

“I was a special guest on a special occasion, and though surpisingly the restaurant wouldn't have been my first choice (because of the lack of spices), I appreciate every single moment of the food, presentation and our server's professionalism and kindness. The description says the decor is minimalist, and I argue that the food was too... And it was great to be exposed to this in this manner. We ordered the chef's menu which was a fantastical plate after plate served up for us. They seriously consider allergies and restrictions which is top-tier. Reserve hours out of your time for this gastronomocal experience and of course, getting lost in conversation with your date. Oddly, I remember getting a small cookie at the end--that was probably a piece that wasn't needed and changed the taste in my mouth a little. Perhaps a wrapped handmade candy to take away as a momento, or maybe I just need better willpower? Love this place, would return on a special occasion splurge.“

“We've been here a few times, and the food is always pretty good, but I'm pleased to say we've finally had something that we thought was really exceptionally well done, which was the Buffalo Cauliflower Bites. These were really excellent, and I would probably get them instead of wings here in the future. The rest of the meal was good as well, a wide variety of options are available, so I'd say this is a good option for family or business meals where you need something to please different palettes. Conveniently located directly on a HOP Streetcar stop as well.“

“This was our first time at the Diplomat, and we won’t hesitate to return…. But diners need to be prepared to drop a bit of cash, and possibly leave a bit hungry. Food is fabulous, creative and 5 star all the way…. But portions are small for the price. Example: 1 piece of sourdough bread with butter $8. Mind you, it was one of the best pieces of bread I’ve had in a long time, but may also be the generous amount of butter you can slather on it. The ambience is like a 1960’s living room …. Great decor!Vegetarian options: They have a delicious Rissoto, snd several small vegetarian small plates.“

“My husband and I have been coming to this eatery since it reopened under new ownership with Carlos who had formerly been the cook at the North Avenue Grill for several years. Though we will not be returning customers to this eatery, it's no reason for me/us to discourage others from eating here. The food is delicious. It's served hot and fresh. And we also prefer to do business with small businesses such as the Midtown Grill. But on our last recent visit, and this was not the first mishap, my food was not served as I had ordered, but I didn't complain. On this last visit, I didn't complain either, but I did exclaim to our wait person that I was unhappy with my platter. The Huevo Ranchero eggs were, and I had asked for two, instead of the three, overcooked, and it was too salty for me to enjoy. Well, as I watched the wait person walk away, I noted that the server engaged the cooks re: my food and from their body language it was obvious that my constructive critique was not received in good form. Shoulders were shrugged, and this implied to me that they didn't care. This behavior told me everything I needed to know re: my customer satisfaction. This is unfortunate because we enjoyed coming to this laid back eatery. We were provided a discount of which I DID NOT ask for, and I tried to explain to the server that it wasn't necessary, but I was left speaking to their back as they chose to walk away. This behavior towards me was rude and disrespectful. If an establishment does not want need or want your business, the wait staff can certainly help to make or break a customer's spirit.“

“Pete’s is a great little pub, especially in contrast to most of the other options on Brady St. It’s definitely a sports bar (and a great place to catch early morning football matches or F1 races!), but without all the neon and cheesiness, and with unexpectedly great drink options. The food menu is full of great versions of popular pup foods, and the staff is always really friendly and good at what they do. You do have to order everything at the bar (vs. servers and table service) which can be a little cumbersome and hectic when the pub gets busy, but it’s not really something that takes away from the experience as a whole. Overall, highly recommend this place!“

“Three of us dined at the restaurant recently with an out-of-town visitor. Our server was very good and recommended wines that matched with our dishes well, but the service was a bit slow probably because the restaurant was quite full. The menu is large, and there are quite a few choices other than steaks despite its reputation as a steak house. I ordered Hudson Canyon Seared Scallops as my main course; the dish was quite flavorful, although the scallops were not as tender as those that I had at other restaurants in town. I also ordered the Seafood Gumbo soup and found the soup to be better than most outside those I had in New Orleans. The restaurant has a fine dining setup, and the price certainly reflects that. The quality of food is good but nothing amazing. As a hotel restaurant, it needs to have the capacity to serve a large number of customers when holding events, likely requiring standardization and limiting room for innovation. So, for the same price or a little less, one can find better-quality food elsewhere in Milwaukee based on my view.“

“Highlights/Lowlights 1. Outdoor Fire Pits 2. Food Available 3. Open Year Round We love coming to South Shore! Glad this spot is open all year round. There are lots of picnic tables inside and outside, and gas fire pits on the patio in the Fall and Winter. Views of Lake Michigan are top notch as this spot is right on the water. The menu selection is pretty big for a Biergarten with sandwiches, flat bread, a variety of appetizers and drinks. They even have a gluten-free* crust for the flatbread. We did a few sandwiches and a flatbread and thought the food was pretty good. This place is really for the ambiance and drinks so probably won't be the best meal you've ever had but the food serves its purpose. Note - they have beer, seltzers and sangria. This is part of MKE County Parks so they don't have a permit for wine. We love South Shore and will continue to keep visiting! *Not sure about cross-contamination for gluten-free items. Recommended to call and ask if you have additional needs“

“A local friend recommended a great lunch, and he nailed it! Street parking was easy, and it was a fun overall experience. I enjoyed their schtick of roasting peanuts and then forwarding them via their interior "drop zones," a series of tubes that deliver the peanuts to your table without a server attending to it. The cool interior includes replica bombs and cool artwork. Their stools are very cool, with unique bottoms. Our server was brand new, and she rocked it. The restaurant manager was friendly and helpful. I loved my Classic AJ Burger. It was tasty and well prepared, and adding bacon to a big burger was a good idea. I also enjoyed the tater tots.“
