“Very clean. Great fast and friendly service. Soup and salad was really good love the dressing. Beef lo-mein was a little bland and meat seemed kinda like tv dinner meat same with the teriyaki chicken was weird cut up pieces that dont seem like it was cut from a breast or anything. But other than that it all had good flavor and everything was fresh and clean. Id give it 5 stars if the meat was a real sliced breast with maybe a little char or something. This meat seemed boiled or something not grilled.“
“Friends said it was one of the two actual authentic Chinese restaurants in town. The other being a northern style one. The food quality is consistently good, but the spiciness is not very consistent, so might want to clarify how spicy you want the dishes to be when ordering.“
“My family and I have eaten here many times over the years. They just get better & better. Take out, dine in.... both are great. The food is always hot, fresh, fast and taste awesome! Inviting atmosphere, they are always so nice and funny. We always spend over a $100, a large order for take out and they have it ready in 15 mins. They never disappoint us in any way. They are absolutely the best!Chicken & broccoli, sweet n sour chicken, any of their fried rice, shrimp egg rolls (my fav-they are fat and filling!), all the lo meins, pepper steak, sesame chicken, general taos chicken, crab rangoon.... it is all good. You won't be disappointed stopping here!“
“I hope you go in wearing flip flops because this food is going to knock your socks off. Fast, tasty and relatively cheap. Definitely a place I would stop again. I got the Orange chicken and that was great almost too much to eat. My nephew got the braised beef and demolished it. Only missing a star on atmosphere becuase of the location and the vibe as a kitchen corner. Still 5 star food“
“May have finally found the most authentic Thai in the Milwaukee area. Their menu is a bit limited (only 2 curries offered) but it seems that everything they offer is delicious. My go-to is tofu pad see ew and it was so flavorful and moist. My friend got the pork belly and I tried a bite, the dipping sauce is so dang good. The dessert was delicious as well. The portions are huge and it's reasonably priced. There were a good amount of people on a Friday night. Service was great. Would definitely come back!“
“Where do I even begin?!? My partner and I made the drive from Madison first thing in the morning on a Saturday - he didn't know where we were going, but I had called ahead the day before to place an order. We arrived right when Lucky Bakery & BBQ opened, and there were others waiting outside and in the lobby (a great sign!). My partner was thrilled that the surprise was Chinese BBQ, and we picked up the order of roast ruck and pork with crispy skin. While we were there, we chose some bakery items as well (an egg tart and a red bean cake). Then, we started to drive home, snagging a piece of pork to nibble on the drive back to Madison. HOLY COW. I pulled the car over SO FAST - this pork deserves all of your attention! You cannot do it justice while driving, you need to sit and savor it! We literally bought a drink at a Panera so we could sit outside and eat this pork. I will dream about this pork every night until we can make another trip to West Allis. My life as been changed by this pork. The duck and the bakery items were also flawlessly outstanding, but I truly cannot get over the pork. We ate the entire pound of it that Saturday, and will be telling everyone we meet!“
“Went here for our anniversary. Had a wonderful time and our chef was very entertaining and humorous. Staff was very attentive and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. The food was delicious, and the experience unforgettable. Prices were reasonable, and portions plentiful. Definitely coming back!“
“Went there today for Easter dinner. Way easier than cooking. We pre-ordered and it was ready on time. Unfortunately, when we got home there were no sauces or fortune cookies. My friend called and they sent someone right away with no charge. Sure, the sauces should have been included to begin with, but they did make it right with a smile ☺. And, the food was terrific. Great food and great customer service. Will definitely order again, and check for sauces next time. Thanks“
“Have been ordering from this place since it opened and I have never been disappointed. It is one of the best American Chinese food places on this side of Wisconsin. The ingredients always taste fresh and delicious, with generous takeout portions. They don't skimp on the meat or seafood! I have kids that are picky eaters and they love the shrimp with broccoli and the egg rolls the most. My kid who always asks for only peanut butter sandwiches all day will quietly chow down on the rice and broccoli, then invite the shrimp to the belly party. Another of my kids didn't even know until today that egg rolls are full of cabbage (stuff she doesn't like to eat if I make it at home) and just raised her eyebrows and said "well I love cabbage then!" and continued to eat the whole egg roll up as usual. The staff are always polite and friendly, food is made to order and ready quickly. My family and I really enjoy the food and the takeout experience.“
“This is a gem of find. Food is delicious and service is impressive. It was the trifecta of Bao buns, dumplings, and sushi. The bbq Bao buns were delicious and moist. The steam and pan fried dumplings had a fresh and flavorful filling. The sushi was also on point. This is the 1st time I've experience such great quality in all those dishes in one place. I'm already planning my next visit.“
“My sister and I got take-out here on Saturday night. We shared crab rangoons, sesame chicken, vegetable lo mein, and vegetable Mei Fun! Everything was very good! We were at work, so our go-to Chinese food spot was too far away, so we decided to try this restaurant for the first time. Everything was fresh and flavorful. We will definitely be coming back to try more of their menu!“
“I moved to the Southside area from Brown Deer back in late 2017. While living in Brown Deer my favorite Chinese restaurant was in Menomonee Falls which wasn't that far. Unfortunately since moving to the Southside I couldn't find a Chinese food restaurant at least for me that was up to par. Believe me when I say I tried many Chinese restaurants, its an understatement. I realize everyone has different taste and mine was just not being fulfilled. I actually stumbled across this restaurant on my way to an appointment. I decided I'd give it try. I thought to be safe I'd keep it simple ( beef fried rice, shrimp egg foo young, crab rangoon and an egg roll) this was around lunchtime and was also takeout. The service was quick and very friendly. I couldn't wait to get home because it smelled so good but even with that I was still thinking this may be another disappointment. I'm beyond thrilled to say that everything exceeded my expectations. Everything was delicious. I finally found a Chinese food restaurant that did not disappoint. I no longer have to travel to Menomonee Falls for great Chinese food. This restaurant is just as good and honestly maybe a smidge better. I will definitely be back to try other menu items. I definitely recommend it. Great Food“
“Carry out only here. Do not panic like me if they don't answer their phone right away. The line is busy, it took me like 4 calls to get through and place my order. We got shrimp egg rolls, crab rangoon, general tso's chicken, and the seasame chicken platter which came with a pork egg roll and pork fried rice. My boyfriend loved the shrimp egg rolls and general tso. He didn't care for the crab Rangoon but I liked them a lot! The pork fried rice was good but I prefer my fried rice without peas and carrots. The portions are massive! We would definitely order from here again. The food is good and affordable. When I went to pick up the food, I realized I hadn't given them my name. Then I learned, they identify people with their phone number. When my food was ready, they called out the last 4 digits of my phone number.“
“Delicious Chinese food. I had the General Tso Chicken, Chicken and snow peas, Shrimp fried rice, Peking Dumplings and egg rolls. Everything was fresh and flavorful. They also deliver within a 5 mile radius. The service was great. We are always greeted nicely by the cashier who was friendly and courteous. The staff/ family here work very hard and it shows. Peking Garden has been a West Allis favorite of ours for 10+ years.“
“Very good and fresh food. I’ve tried a lot of Chinese takeout and this was very tasty. Lots of huge shrimp in the shrimp fried rice! The portions are huge, the seasoning was just right and they were friendly. I wish they did delivery or DoorDash. My only con of i had to have one is that they don’t have bamboo shoots in their fried rice. My new go to for Chinese“
“food was so good i looked on tik tok someone recommended this resturant, i went and let me tell you ive never had food so good and fresh i like the fact you can see into the kitchen while they prepare your food the egg foo young sauce ive never taste nothing like that in my life it was soooooo good i found a new spot! love it the customer service was good she was very polite, also leave every sauce out for you to take whats needed.“
“Quick, delicious, plentiful Chinese food. You get two entrees and a rice or noodle side for $8.95. The styrofoam container is packed! I usually make two meals out of one order. Currently there is only take out. We’ve gone early, mid day and in the evening. It’s always hot and tasty. Not dried out. It’s become our favorite place for reliable Chinese takeout.“
“I knew my night would be crazy, so I placed a to go order to make sure I got in dinner early. My order consisted of beef pad see ew and pork egg rolls. The pork egg rolls were fantastic. Really good size, fresh ingredients, and amazing flavor. I would order these again in a heartbeat. The pad see ew is ok. I didn't think there was enough egg in it, I wasn't overly fond of the white onion, and both the broccoli and carrot seemed like they were added afterwards and not cooked in the sauce with the noodles and beef because they were harder than expected and didn't absorb any of the flavor of the sauce. Certainly not my favorite pad see ew in the area, but I wouldn't be opposed to getting it again.“
“Coffee with Pips visited Emperor's Kitchen on April 16th, 2024 This restaurant is located on the second level of an above-average retail space. The big windows overlook a large parking lot surrounded by several upscale businesses, including Kopp's Frozen Custard, which is a must-go place when visiting Wisconsin. We were seated immediately at a clean table, nothing fancy, however, there was ample room to dine, unlike some restaurants. The decor wasn't anything special, however not distracting either. Only minutes after we were seated, our waitress acknowledged our presence and was very kind. We had a little time to study the menu, and we were very pleased with the selection, the menu was basic, but it did offer a nice selection of items. I ordered the Sesame Chicken Sesame Chicken which is a dish commonly found in Chinese restaurants throughout the United States and Canada. My assistant ordered the Beef Chop Suey, which she appeared to enjoy very much. The Sesame Chicken was absolutely out of this world, not bad at all, I enjoyed the tender pieces of battered chicken coated in sweet sauce and tossed in sesame seeds. The portions were huge, definitely enough for two meals... guess what I'm having for dinner tomorrow? We both ordered a Diet Coke, however, beware... this tasted more like seltzer, not like Diet Coke at all, and at $4.50 each, the small glasses of what was said to be Diet Coke were a disappointment, to say the least. We mentioned this and were told, "Hmmm don't know what could be wrong with it." Because of the high cost of our drinks, and no real concern shown by the staff, is the reason why Emperor's Kitchen earned a 4.5-star rating instead of 5 stars which they would've received if they had taken these drinks off the check. Don't get me wrong, Emperor's Kitchen is a 1-restaurant operation, and we applaud small businesses that struggle to stay in business, but it's the little things that customers remember, and some may be turned off by, resulting in negative feedback. Taking the drinks off the check would have been the right thing to do. But overall, our meals were well worth it, and no complaints, other than the seltzer water we were served. I will definitely visit Emperor's Kitchen again, and I highly recommend this restaurant, minus the sodas, stick with the free water. “the food is great and very good quality! I love this place so much, it’s my new favorite restaurant. The workers are very nice and food doesn’t take long to get. It’s amazing I would definitely recommend if you want to eat at a good Chinese restaurant!“
“I've been getting food from here for years. It's great that you see your food being made. The quality food is good and always consistent. The only most recent thing is the gentleman that takes your order goes off if you ask for chopsticks with your order.“
“I honestly love their Fresh fruit smoothie with tapioca boba. They have the best Crab Rangoon I have had to date.Their menu and place does need some work. I really want this place to do well. I have come here occasionally for over 10 years. I would love them to get to their next level for dining and cuisine.I think they could do well if they made more things from scratch that were signature dishes. Stay Fresh, that’s what keeps me coming back. Homemade tapioca boba taste the best.“
“The food was fresh and tasted great! However, that wasn't the best part for me. The best part was the outstanding customer service. This seems to be a family owned business and the lady running the place when I stopped through was super nice and tried her absolute best to make sure I had a good experience. At the end, she explained to me that their goal is to cater to the customer's needs and make it feel like home. I'd say the succeeded! I love small family owned businesses like this and will be coming back! :-)“
“my mom got me started on this establishment. she brought home shrimp fried rice, chicken lo mein, and a po platter. it was excellent. so far i ordered again getting house rice, spring rolls, and crab rangoon. i just ordered today. now getting house lo mein and dumplings. i like the food here..“
“My fiance & I went for dinner & Omg the food was great and drinks. Our server Gina was the best and very friendly. Always kept it on top for coming and checking on us and asking us about our food, etc. Thank You Gina for your awesome serve and keep it up, Your a Great Server.. “
“Always fast and reliable. Everything I’ve tried has been great. The customer service is top notch and friendly. They always make me feel welcome when I come to pick up an order.Online ordering makes it super fast and easy, almost always ready in 20 min or less, even when very busy.I can’t recommend them enough.“
“Just watched Dan win top chef at supper club elimination for his relish. Food was awesome and tasty. Service on point. When in Milwaukee a must stop. (Not exactly sure what the additional 5% for Employee Benefits added to the check is for.)“
“I went in for lunch I decided to takeout and not dine in. The buffet was clean the meats and veggies were fresh. You have a wide variety to choose from with many sauces. After I gathered my ingredients I took it to the chef to be cooked in front of me. My stir fry was delicious.“
“WOW - WOW - WOW. China Gourmet is a very inconspicuous little restaurant (it's quite big inside) with really no frills or over the top atmosphere situated right across the street from the Pabst Theater. We were in a hurry to get something to eat before catching the comedy show across the street and we stumbled across China Gourmet. Our server (unfortunately I didn't catch his name) was so kind when taking our order and fast fast fast with the service. I genuinely dislike when people say "this is the best..." or "this is the worst..." BUT this was absolutely the most flavorful Chinese food I have ever had. The menu choices, which there were a ton of, were nondescript and not unlike what you would find at almost any Chinese restaurant, BUT the flavor profiles were ridiculous. Something as simple as pan fried noodles and fried rice which are normally compliments to the meal could have easily been the main meal. So fresh and so delicious. I had Kung Pao Beef and the sauce was so savory, I literally took the serving spoon and finished it off like a soup. If you're in town or going to a show at the Pabst Theater, don't bother with all the other options that are flashy and fancy; go to China Gourmet for the delicious food and the wonderful service.“
“If you're looking for a new Asian restaurant to try out, this is it! This is one of the only Asian restaurants I go to because it is GOOD. The staff is polite. I have recommended this place to my family, friends, and workplace. Try it out!“
“The food is always excellent. We probably order takeout from here at least once a month and always use the order ahead feature. Food is usually ready or in the process of being wrapped up by the time I arrive. Everyone is always very nice. Highly recommend.“
“I love the food it's always fresh and hot and delicious I just would like more sweet and sour sauce but I guess you have to pay for more sauce I never been inside of the restaurant I always get it delivered they are always on time with your “
“First time visit, food was very fresh and came out quick. The lunch special included a cup of soup, either egg drop or hot and sour. A small crab rangoon, egg roll and little fried chicken chunk. Pork fried rice and your entree choice. I ordered the Broccoli Chicken. All in all the food had good flavor, the quality of vegetables was great. The service felt rushed, the server forgot to bring me my drink, and didn't realize it until I finished my meal. He did bring me a water as soon as I was seated so it worked out. He didn't stop at all to see if I needed anything throughout my meal which I thought was odd. Once he realized he forgot my drink he still gave me a can of soda on the house to take with me. This would have been 5 star across the board if not for the little service hiccup. Definitely recommend and will return.“
“Bartender cleaned up snow on sidewalk for my wife in a wheelchair..Keri was our server and did a great job with a smile ..Good eating experience..Vegetarian options: Good options..Wheelchair accessibility: Good access after snow was removed.“
“Ordered delivery via their website. The food arrived quickly and the driver was very nice. I got the pineapple chicken which tastes great (not spicy enough for me personally!) then the chicken fried rice which was pretty plain. Still giving a 5/5 because I have a feeling I’ll be back! Ps large portion “
“We actually decided to eat in instead of carry out, which is what most people do. it was funny and kind of sweet the way the entire staff almost tripped over each other to make sure we had what we needed. I have never had service this good. Granted, the dining area was a little funky with cardboard boxes stacked on chairs, and our food came in carry-out boxes with a styrofoam plate, but the food itself was wonderful and there was SO MUCH of it. While we ate we listened to people come to grab their carryout order and we listened to the kitchen staff scrambling around. It was so much fun! And for about $18, we ended up taking about half our food home for tomorrow's lunch! We will be back!“
“A little pricey - but consistently fantastic! My kids love the sesame chicken , we almost always get the delicious crab rangoons, and have tried many other menu items - all wonderful! Today we had shrimp lo mein and general tso chicken - everyone loved it! Quick too - we do carry out and it's almost always 20 minutes or less.“
“Great taste super yummy,The chef was very accommodating for vegan vegetarian options,It was high class, mouth watering, and yet a comerting food experiencePS: Now It's inside eleven25 building useto be a restorant near public museum.Vegetarian options: Vegi Ramen and any noodles.Dietary restrictions: Just ask the chef.“
“I have ordered from alot of Chinese food places, this is my go to in the area. I have been eating here a few years now and I am consistently satisfied with my food and my delivery service. If I had to recommend Chinese food in the area , this would be the spot !! I get the orange chicken, beef with vegetables, vegetable lo mein and crab ragoons. The crab ragoons are my favorite!“
“Finally have a "go to" Chinese restaurant in town after trying for years to replace our old favorite (owners retired). Good meals, good service and decent prices. Also have a good buffet option if you are interested. Have been numerous times now and have yet to have a bad experience!“
