We were greeted and seated promptly, and coffee and water appeared before we even had a chance to ask for it. We ordered our meals, and to our surprise our food arrives within minutes, even on a busy weekend morning. The food was delicious, and the server brought us some sort of cinnamon cake that was also amazing.

“My husband and I have been coming to this eatery since it reopened under new ownership with Carlos who had formerly been the cook at the North Avenue Grill for several years. Though we will not be returning customers to this eatery, it's no reason for me/us to discourage others from eating here. The food is delicious. It's served hot and fresh. And we also prefer to do business with small businesses such as the Midtown Grill. But on our last recent visit, and this was not the first mishap, my food was not served as I had ordered, but I didn't complain. On this last visit, I didn't complain either, but I did exclaim to our wait person that I was unhappy with my platter. The Huevo Ranchero eggs were, and I had asked for two, instead of the three, overcooked, and it was too salty for me to enjoy. Well, as I watched the wait person walk away, I noted that the server engaged the cooks re: my food and from their body language it was obvious that my constructive critique was not received in good form. Shoulders were shrugged, and this implied to me that they didn't care. This behavior told me everything I needed to know re: my customer satisfaction. This is unfortunate because we enjoyed coming to this laid back eatery. We were provided a discount of which I DID NOT ask for, and I tried to explain to the server that it wasn't necessary, but I was left speaking to their back as they chose to walk away. This behavior towards me was rude and disrespectful. If an establishment does not want need or want your business, the wait staff can certainly help to make or break a customer's spirit.“

“I only order the "Jalapeno Popper" from Mac's in Brookfield. Over half the time I order it they don't put in any jalapenos or they put in next to none. How hard is it to properly make this dish? It is super hard to add jalapenos to the JALAPENO popper? After the 3rd order it happened I brought it back. The manager stated, I quote, "There are jalapenos all up in there" while pointing to two small pieces in the ENTIRE DISH. Done wasting my time and money with this location that can't make a simple Mac and Cheese. Pathetic.“

“This "hole in the wall" bar is a must stop. I love visiting bars like this because of the community they provide. I was welcomed by the locals and had great conversation through my visit.The area is out in the country and can be tricky to find. Once I arrived, there was plenty of street parking as well as a lot in the back The inside was charming with a vintage vibe. Drinks were strong and their menu is lengthy. I ordered a cup of the soup which was styled after the Reuben sandwich. The corned beef was excellent. The soup is creamy and flavorful. I have tried to stop by again but they are only open Tuesday through Thursday. I wish I had checked the menu it because the reviews online show a fish fry but I'm not sure if that's available daily since they're closed on Friday? I hope you find out soon!“

After a recent visit, I accidentally left behind an important package i bought from Holy Hill church(a 2hrs drive from where we live). Not only did the staff find it but they went above and beyond by safely shipping it back to me. Their honesty, care and professionalism truly touch me. The food and atmosphere were already excellent, but this thoughtful gesture shows the heart behind the business. It's rare to find such genuine hospitality these days. “Sawmill is one of my all time favorite places to come after church. The food is always amazing, the holiday decor is wonderful and is always a great experience, until today... Unfortunately, the waitress "T" was absolutely awful, she was rude and should really find a new profession not dealing with people. I would hope it was just a bad day for her, but she ruined our experience. We have never left a $0 tip and that should tell management that she needs a chat. Still great food and atmosphere. We'll be back, but will not ever have her again! God Bless Oh and a different waitress had a packer shirt that says "I love it when he goes deep". I'm not a prude, but seriously so inappropriate for a restaurant to allow that!“

Sounds like a lot but it all fit on one plate. The place was clean. The staff were nice. And it was pretty quiet on a Monday night. I come to this location pretty often, maybe a bit too much lol and they always get everything 100% correct and have fantastic service. Today they went above and beyond.
