The carrot cake was something out of heaven! Parkside 23, you didn’t disappoint. It’s so nice to go out and actually have a good meal and good service. Rare find! Will be back for more“

“My family and I went here for the first time last week for our daughter’s birthday breakfast. The host greeted us with such a lovely smile and seated us in the best both! (In my opinion) The host briefly chatted with my daughter about their nails, which added to the homey and welcoming atmosphere. Our server Katie was just as amazing! She was so accommodating! My daughter was uncertain about ordering a drink she never had before and Katie was kind enough to bring out a sample before ordering it. Katie gave us the best experience and even went out of her way to take a picture of my daughter and I at their cute photo wall! “Wonderful gem in Brookfield, off the beaten path. Perfect location, close enough to metro area,but far enough away to give it a friendly neighborhood bar feel. Staff are friendly, efficient and professional. Had a small get together there and it turned into a bigger party than expected. I was impressed by how the waiting staff were able to accommodate us and make everything work out, very impromptu ! The food is exceptional and priced reasonably. NOT UNDERSTAFFED, so the service is very prompt and effective. Friendly atmosphere 🤗“

“The service is what makes this place. I don't remember our servers name but she had some cool tattoos. Our server was attentive without hovering, checked on us several times at exactly the right moments, and She also made a point of showing us the lunch menu, which is easy to miss, and made great reccomendations, which we took.
I went with a Mediterranean dish over quinoa and my date had the chicken flatbread with fries. Both were great. The small stuff is where the server really earned it, though. She double-checked whether my date wanted tomatoes on her flatbread, a question that shows great anticipation, and she didn't want tomatos but would have missed it lowering the experience for her. Instead it came out exactly right the first time. That is the difference between fine and memorable.
The only reason this lands at 4.5 instead of 5 is stocking, not service. The bar didn't have sugar free Red Bull cold, so I had to take it warm. Even then, the server brought it over with a glass of ice and the can still unopened, apologized, and asked if I actually still wanted it rather than just assuming. Hard to hold a grudge when someone handles a small miss that gracefully.
Great food, even better service. I would recommend it without hesitation, and I will be back. Hopefully to a fully stocked cooler.“
