“My wife and I love this place! We like to come early on the weekends to have ourselves a little day date before the kids get up. The food is always consistently good and satisfying. The service is always there when you need them. This place closes early so get there while you can!“
“My husband and I had an impromptu date night and were able to get a table right away. Our server was very friendly and attentive and the food was spectacular as always. The restaurant does get a little loud at times, especially near the bar area, but we were still able to enjoy our time and have a great meal together.Parking: There is a small lot that People's has across from the restaurant, but also being in the heart of downtown, lots of street options are available.“
“When I first walked in I thought; ‘Crap, almost no wait staff.’ BUT, glad I stayed! Great service, great chow and very affordable. I went in because I was nearby and wanted breakfast. Next time it will be because I PLANNED to have breakfast here!“
“The food was prepared well...they have the perfect moist pancakes and crispy bacon. Staff is friendly and my favorite server is Erica she is a sweetheart. Had a great experience!!! Also love the pub burger and potato wedges.Kid-friendliness: Family restaurant with kids menu.“
“Parking is difficult now that a new company took away the extra parking. Went there twice in the last couple months the and couldn't find any parking. Had to go elsewhere. They have the best blue gill and potatoes pancakes. They also have a peanuty popper bacon wrapped. Oh yum!“
“We ordered the battered cod and half the fish was pollack and the other was cod. The pollack was so fishy tasting the dog wouldn't even eat it. It went down the garbage disposal. Fries were overcooked, almost burnt. Salad was all leaves, no tomato except for 2 tiny pieces. The bun was the best of the whole meal.Tally's has always been our go to for fish fries. Always excellent. Hopefully our next visit will be better or we'll be on the hunt for a new place.“
“Fine Latin Dining.Drinks are great. Recommend the anejo or extra anejo drinks if you like amber liquors. The margaritas are fantastic as well.I recommend the dumplings (I forget the actual name) at $3 each, get 1 or 2 per person they are amazing. All of our entrées were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We had mole pork tenderloin, prime rib, chicken street corn risotto, Ceasar salad w shrimp. Flavor combinations are exciting but still have a familiar Latin feel.Great restaurant for a date or nice dinner out.“
“The best breakfast in Waukesha. This may seem like a hole in the wall bar from the outside but don’t let this fool you. The cook in the back always has daily specials. The breakfast is amazing here. Do yourself a favor and try one of the cooks specials. Love this place.“
“I ordered the soup and sandwich. Soup was a vegetable barly. And the sandwich was a chicken salad. Soup was tasty and had a good amount of vegetables and barly in is. The chicken sandwich lacked flavor....very bland. It had a lot of chicken in it, but just blah. Our server on that Saturday morning (sorry, I forgot his name) was very attentive, friendly and efficient. Atmosphere was a bit too dark for me but it was clean and the bathroom was very clean and stocked! I will return again. I would have liked to see a Soup and Salad combo on the menu.“
“My co-workers and I order lunch from here every other week. The food is always hot and delicious. I appreciate that they're able to accommodate some minor ingredient swaps for us. The staff is always very friendly when we go in to grab the order. If you need a recommendation, my go to is usually the Thai wrap or the Santa Fe wrap. I like the salads too, but I have a hard time passing up the fries that come with the wrap. For your sweet tooth, try the funnel cake fries with the raspberry sauce. Two thumbs up!“
“The atmosphere is so inviting. The patios were full on the day we were there. The food was very good and the bread left us wanting more. Our server, Caleb was efficient and accommodating to the two members in our group using mobile aids. Place was busy and he never missed a stepWheelchair accessibility: The walkway/ramp is rustic stone pavers with a slightly steeper grade that would be difficult for a manual wheelchair to manage. That said, it is accessible“
“Last visited this restaurant 8-9 years ago and the interior is relatively the same. I can attest to the service being excellent (shout out to Maggie) and the food arrived to the table hot and to order. I would recommend upgrading to the waffle fries over the chips.“
“First time in. Heard about it from several co workers. Fast, friendly greasy spoon location. Exactly what I expected. The food was good, had the house special breakfast with chorizo which was the right about of spicy. Will return for more menu tries.“
“Food is always good. Service is a bit slow. Sometimes really good, sometimes a bit slow. Younger staff, so that says it all. But they are all very friendly and try very hard. We always go back. Wide open atmosphere, lots of room, can wait at the bar. Always call ahead of time or make a reservation.Parking: Parking right in front of entrance. Can drop off AT the door, park, and come on in. Handicap spots are available.Kid-friendliness: All the staff is extremely friendly.“
“One of our favorite places to go on the spur of the moment. Our server was the best last Friday. She noticed that we were celebrating a birthday and at the end of our excellent meal a slice of cake and lit candle were delivered soon a beautifully decorated plate. That’s customer service!“
“The baked fish was fantastic and included cole slaw, warm dinner rolls, and a choice of potato. We began dinner with cream of potato soup served by Chef Bernie, who was extremely attentive. It is not a super club. It's a bar with fantastic super club food and delicious Old Fashions made from a secret recipe. Comfortable atmosphere. Very reasonably priced.“
“A fine establishment with scrumptious food and a friendly staff. The Owners are wonderful! They care about there customers. It always feels good walking in to Sunset Family Restaurant because you know you are going to have a great experience. Thank you SFR! ♥️☺️“
“You may not know it, but Culver's is a top notch seafood restaurant. One of my favorite dishes is their butterflied shrimp dinner. Welcome to delicious! If you have a hankering for some goooooood shrimp, just stop in at your nearest Culver's. You get 6 golden brown giant shrimp with two sides of your choice so don't just take the fries and coleslaw they suggest. If you order mashed potatoes with butter as I like them, be sure to tell the service person you want HOT mashed potatoes. I like them hot enough to melt the butter. And buttered broccoli! Who'd a thunk it? They actually know how to cook broccoli! So try their glorious Shrimp Dinner with mashed potatoes and broccoli and pat yourself on the back for such a great choice!“
“Just found this place based on a gift certificate we got. I wish we would have found this place sooner. Friendly staff and the food was amazing. Everyone in our family rated their meal a 10+. I can't wait to go back and try their fish fry!“
“The server Jack held the door open for me and my mom!! My mom has dementia and Parkinson's but she is a trooper!! Jack was patient and empathetic with us as I spoke Spanish with my mom to try and figure out what she wanted to eat. I will definitely be coming back here once we are in town!! Thank you Jack!!“
“They always have the juiciest burgers. I like this location more than the other locations in Waukesha because they always serve me dry burgers (idk how since they’re made fresh) and the ice cream always tastes off. Much rather prefer this one on sunset!“
“My first visit that will for sure bring me back. Was with a group for Batchlorette Festivities. The Chef accommodations for dietary restrictions & food allergies among us were taken & executed to perfection. Every single course was so delicious. Great food, fun drinks, good wine selections, and a very welcoming and attentive waitstaff. Highly recommended.“
