“Chubby's Cafe offers a delightful breakfast experience with a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu boasts a variety of mouthwatering options, from classic pancakes to unique omelets. The portions are generous, ensuring you leave satisfied. Prices are reasonable, making it a great value for the quality of food. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Chubby's is a must-try for breakfast enthusiasts.“
“It IS worth it. There will be a wait. You're going to need to accept that first and foremost. With great food comes long wait time. Unlike most restaurants, the Blue Heron team knows how to run their show. Once you make it to a table and make the obvious choice to do the all you can eat fish and chicken fry (on Wednesdays and Fridays) you truly won't be waiting long before food arrives at your table! The food is always hot, fresh and delicious! Refills arrive promptly, dishes are cleared quickly... just an all around amazing experience.“
“There is nothing better than having a nice meal lake side. They have a beautiful patio area that my wife and I can spends hours just staring at while eating French fries. Every time we go they are busy so you'll see the staff buzzing around making sure everyone has what they need. The food is great. The menu truly has something for everyone. This is also one of my wife's favorite spots for bloody marry's. Go eat here, if not for anything else the lovely views of the lake front.“
“Tofte’s Table is hands-down the best date night restaurant in Waukesha. The food is always delicious. This time, we had the braised short ribs, scallops, mushroom risotto, and maple bacon Brussels sprouts. Seriously delicious. The staff was engaging and provided excellent recommendations for wine pairings. 10/10 recommend Tofte’s Table! We will be back soon!“
“My wife and I love this place! We like to come early on the weekends to have ourselves a little day date before the kids get up. The food is always consistently good and satisfying. The service is always there when you need them. This place closes early so get there while you can!“
“We had potato leak soup- the best I have had. I had the half chicken special- super moist, covered in country gravy (choice of having it on the side) & mashed potatoes (needed salt) but real potatoes and good when salt added. Service was impeccable, we were there for lunch. Wheelchair/walker accessible back door. (would be a long walk). Outdoor space looks amazing- I plan to go back when the weather improves. Service was freaky fast. Bourbon choices galore & bourbon old fashioneds on tap. (I will be trying those next visit too!). Bonus -gambling machines too.“
“Lagniappe Brasserie has been a favorite gem of a restaurant of mine for many years. Chef Andrew Tenaglia never fails to bring fresh, locally sourced food to the table. In all the years of operation, I have have never had a bad meal and the service has always been spectaculator. I was happy to hear about and support curb-side pick up during the COVID-19 epidemic. I encourage to place an order or two to help support this local independently owned and operated area restaurant so they will be there for us in the future.“
“Three times so far and each time the food has been absolutely amazing. Went there last night during Friday night rush and I was so impressed at the quick service and how fast the food came out! The servers and bartenders are smoothe and fast, while still making sure to spend the appropriate time with each customer. The place has 2 levels, a roof and outdoor seating by the street. It's incredibly unique, hip, cozy and fun!“
“First time here and had a pizza. I love pizza and this pizza is legit. Amazing sausage, decent pepperoni, and nice thin and crispy crust. Don't let the fact that the restaurant is connected to a bowling alley fool you. This pizza can stand on it's own. Great service too.“
“We love the custard! Great environment, fun local place. The flavor options are so unique, all the while keeping the favorite classic options as well. I always look forward to their new flavor announcements. Good portions. Gives me the ice cream shop summer vibes that I miss from my childhood; and NOW I can bring my kids to make memories too.“
“Shanahan's is the place to go. Way better than Brew52 - a chill spot to read, do work, or be with friends. Seasonal drinks are always the bomb (but their regular menu is a great go-to). Love love their thai chicken salad (so gooddd) and all of their coffee. I always get one coffee drink and then one light seltzer drink and I feel light and happy the rest of the day. Absolutely go here!“
“Outstanding fish fry! I had the perch, 2 large filets, 2 potato pancakes, homemade slaw (nice and crunchy), and homemade tartar sauce. Breading was just right. My friend had the cod and was equally pleased. Ate at the bar with several other diners. Bartenders are friendly and mix a proper old fashioned (tall boy) from scratch, no pre-mix! For sure we'll be back!“
“We dined at Chances on a Saturday night in March 2024. . Lots of local townspeople having a good time in bar area. I am all for that type of atmosphere. However, if your face is not familiar, the bartenders tend to ignore you. There were two mature guys on duty behind the bar and if you did not specifically call out or gesture for a cocktail, they simply stood there. Grumpy as all get out. Two delightful elderly females (not familiar faces) tried to get a bartender's attention to ask about the gambling games in the room, but were very disrespectfully ignored. We'll write this off as both fellas having a bad night. Dining room was about half full. Got seated at a very small table for two against the wall...maybe a former window table, but no window anymore. Very cramped with all the extra stuff already on the table. Didn't want to be a pain in the ***, so we didn't request a nicer table. Good news...ribs and shrimp combo and prime rib special were delicious. Spinach salad and onion strings also very tasty. Extremely busy waitress took care of us skillfully, attentively, and with the most pleasant demeanor. So our occasional date night had a happy ending following a not so great start.“
“Great food and atmosphere. We got BLTs, chive fries and cheese curds. All were delicious. As an added bonus Dan helped my mom locate her grandparents old property that had been lost to time. The whole staff was very friendly and helpful. Thanks for making mom's 70th birthday extra special!“
“Great service to accommodate the amazing food we had. Owners/management on site and very friendly. They were checking in with all the tables and very accommodating to the patrons. Looking forward to trying more of the menu! Mushroom Swiss was the best I have had in quite sometime! Kid friendly dining room with a lounge/bar up front.“
“Went to see Lunch money bullies and it was a lot of fun. Could have been cooler up by the band when we went to dance though. Bartenders were busy however none of them were when I went to get a drink and I stood with my money out for a while until the lady next to me had to yell to get their attention.“
“I was concerned about how one could "dress up" macaroni and cheese.....Mac's did it fantastically! I actually ordered 3 different skillets/plates because I could not make my mind up. The original mac and cheese was very creamy and tasted pretty good. I enjoyed the toasted cheese on top.The second dish was the Buffalo Mac and Cheese. It came with a celery stick and a little toasted bread slice. I really could have used a few more celery sticks as one was definitely not enough. The crumbled blue cheese was a nice flavor touch, though a dressing would have been nice to cute the spicyness of the sauce. The Buffalo chicken was a nice add-in to the Mac and cheese. Again, spicy Buffalo chicken, which was wonderful. The third skillet was the Carnitas Mac and Cheese. This skillet was awesome! The different ingredients did not make if feel like a Mac and cheese add-on topping, but a wonderful dish! I loved the black beans and corn with the tortilla chips sprinkled on top. The seasoned shredded pork was seasoned very nicely. I actually did not finish all the dishes because I was eating too much, but the Carnitas Mac and Cheese was the one I wanted to bring home as a leftover. That was the overall winner of the three! The associate, Josh, who took our order, was very personable and pleasant. His smile definitely made me feel like I was not bothering him when I went back to order dessert...the chocolate cake. When we go back in the future, it would be nice to have Josh serve us again.Very pleased with our overall experience.“
“I had the Corn-beef Hash Soup. It blew up my mind. It was so so good! Plenty of potatoes, carrots and corn beef chunks. Yum!! I'll go back for more! Our thin crust Wisconsin style pepperoni pizza was delish as well. Mr. Spanky's, the owner, approached to us to say hi and to check if everything was ok. He told us that they will be opening their new location in May. It will serve them well because it's a popular local place. I hope they keep Corn-Beef Hash in their menu. The bar area was busy. Payne was very attentive to the crowd. Spanky's had great live music - Andy Carrols very good duo. Plenty to do in this neighborhood Bar and Grill. See you soon.“
“For a George Webb's, this is one of the best locations I've been to. It was super clean and the staff is friendly and accommodating. I went around 1 in the afternoon and it was really busy! I love sitting at the rail and getting that classic diner feel. I got the super George combo w/hashbrowns like I always do and it was a perfect lunch. If you are looking for a quality George Webb's location, this is it! If Waukesha is too far for you, Brookfield has another great location!“
“Love these little old school pubs just sitting there at a 4way stop. Been here since tge 60's. Bartender was spot on, friendly and quick service. One of the locals told me tgat the Prime Rib can't be beat (served on Mondays) and if you order steal tacos on Thursday, they use the left over Prime Rib. Hard to beat that. Very friendly regulars, and even bought me a shot. I will be back to try the food and will update my review.Parking: Small lot with a lot of cars. But you can be creative to make a spot.“
“The best breakfast in Waukesha. This may seem like a hole in the wall bar from the outside but don’t let this fool you. The cook in the back always has daily specials. The breakfast is amazing here. Do yourself a favor and try one of the cooks specials. Love this place.“
“The food arrived not as warm as I would have liked, BUT, there was only one server. My party arrived shortly after the restaurant opened and quickly became very busy. The server did a great jun but was overwhelmed until help arrived! The food however was very good albeit the temperature was not. The hostess was most gracious in apologizing and I will return in the future.“
“The owner and staff were so kind and helpful! I was able to try samples while there, all of which were amazing (now we know what we will be ordering next time)! Our food was fantastic; the beans, coleslaw, chicken, pork and cobbler all had excellent flavor. Definitely will be back.“
“We had the Friday fish fry options. Lake perch was 2 generous pieces and the combination platter of cod, walleye, perch was also generous portions. All cooked perfect with a good batter (not thick). Seafood bisque was tasty. We would come back.“
“Just moved to Waterford from the Milwaukee Eastside. Food was fantastic. Service was very attentive to our needs and wants. Paige was awesome!!! She made sure that I had a accurate schedule so that we knew when to come back. And yes, we will be going back. All around great place!“
“We ordered the battered cod and half the fish was pollack and the other was cod. The pollack was so fishy tasting the dog wouldn't even eat it. It went down the garbage disposal. Fries were overcooked, almost burnt. Salad was all leaves, no tomato except for 2 tiny pieces. The bun was the best of the whole meal.Tally's has always been our go to for fish fries. Always excellent. Hopefully our next visit will be better or we'll be on the hunt for a new place.“
“Awesomely fabulous! Love Jaime's special salsa & tacos, Dana is a wonderful server, & the atmosphere is totally authentic! ?❤ yummmmmVegetarian options: Black bean tacos are fantastic, Especially served with ol smokey mango habanero! <3“
“We had a cocktail at this establishment quite some time ago and it was OK. We came back to town and decided to have cocktails and dinner. Maddy our bartender was amazing. Great personality, and knowledgeable in her craft. Then on to dinner the food was awesome and Chris our server was spot on. Im in the food service industry and my expectations are pretty high. You definitely surpassed my standards. Thank you Christopher(server) and Maddy ( best lemon drop martini ever) for taking care of us. See you next time.I would be remiss if I mention Chris who cemented a great night with his great humorD. BayneWausa“
“My husband was told about this place from his boss. We decided to give it a try. We are so glad we did. The food was amazing. Went on a Friday and it was packed but got a table right away. The only negative thing I have is, the clam chowder soup could use smaller potatoes and more clams. Other than that the soup is a 5 out of 5 for flavor. The shrimp dinner I got had HUGE breaded shrimp. My husband got the breaded cod, very good. And let's talk about the coleslaw. I haven't had a decent slaw in yrs and this is sooooo good, if you like it creamy. We highly recommend this place. And we will definitely go back.....“
“Dady-oh’s is a very friendly place, many regulars greet each other, some even hug. You will not be disappointed with the food or the service. I recommend Dady-oh’s highly. Thursday the special is meatloaf, it’s delicious! Closed Mondays.i give Dady-Oh’s a 5.0 Plus!!!!“
“Parking is difficult now that a new company took away the extra parking. Went there twice in the last couple months the and couldn't find any parking. Had to go elsewhere. They have the best blue gill and potatoes pancakes. They also have a peanuty popper bacon wrapped. Oh yum!“
“Food is always great and all of the servers are usually al very nice. Me and my mother love coming here. The decorations in the restaurant are really cool and interesting. If you are in the area and want some delicious food at great prices, I recommend you come here.“
“First time in. Heard about it from several co workers. Fast, friendly greasy spoon location. Exactly what I expected. The food was good, had the house special breakfast with chorizo which was the right about of spicy. Will return for more menu tries.“
“Food was delicious! We had the French dip sandwich and the chicken panini. The service by Shannon S. was great! We were celebrating our friend's 82nd birthday and she was very nice about making sure he was celebrating well. Thank you, Shannon, for making the extra effort a worthwhile experience for all of us! BTW, the chocolate creme brûlée was outstanding -- you won't be disappointed!“
“This is a nice neighborhood bar. I go there to watch sports as they have a good setup with multiple screens showing just about any game you want to see. The food is good and reasonably priced. They have a good selection of beers on tap. Friendly and attentive bartenders. The only thing I can say negative is that it can get pretty loud, so if you're looking for a quiet place for conversation this isn't it.“
“The full dining experience is SPOT ON! From the well kept appearance to the sincere and attentive staff to the fabulous food! It's what the dining experience is supposed to be! They make French Fries like everyone should! They are so delicious! Beer Cheese to dip them in? Extraordinary!! Doc's on the Fox is doing everything right!“
“Came on a Friday with a friend for her birthday lunch. She was craving a burger and this place hit the mark! It was way busier than I expected for a hole in the wall place in Waukesha. There is a front area with tables, a bar, and a stage. We went into the back area that was a little quieter - still had TVs and a relaxed atmosphere. Our waitress was sweet but a bit overwhelmed. Took way longer than expected for two burgers with tots. I had a turkey burger and my dining companion had the black and blue burger sans bun. We both liked our meals and the prices were fair. There were a variety of families, friends, and coworkers hanging out. I would return to watch a game or for lunch, but wouldn't bank on getting in and out quickly, so plan accordingly.“
“Our family can't thank Pete and his staff enough. With about a week's notice he accommodated us for my Dad's celebration of life lunch/dinner. The food was excellent and he and his staff did everything to ensure we were taken care of.“
“Super Sweet Staff! Friendly & thoughtful! Fast Service! Had a Mushroom swiss Burger! It was AWESOME! Highly recommended!! They made me a Burger for breakfast! I appreciate it very much because I'm a 3rd shifter & Breakfast is my dinner time! Thank Youu! Would visit again some day!Wheelchair accessibility: It's a small 1 story cafe so you could easily get in and out with a wheelchair!“
“Food is always good. Service is a bit slow. Sometimes really good, sometimes a bit slow. Younger staff, so that says it all. But they are all very friendly and try very hard. We always go back. Wide open atmosphere, lots of room, can wait at the bar. Always call ahead of time or make a reservation.Parking: Parking right in front of entrance. Can drop off AT the door, park, and come on in. Handicap spots are available.Kid-friendliness: All the staff is extremely friendly.“
“his neighborhood place is an absolute throwback to another era in all the right ways. Bar was packed and a couple of tables occupied when I and five others showed up for the Wednesday wing special. Have to order at the bar, but the food does get served to your table.“
“I stopped here after going to Sendik's for some fresh seafood based on the word of mouth of an employee I meet from Sendik's in my hang out spot that said it's always fresh and since I haven't been here in years I noticed this pub in the strip mall. This would end up being the new restaurant of the week the following weekend so I stopped by. The place was absolutely dead on Saturday around 2pm with only one table of 3 d guys having no food and just beers over a business lunch it seemed so I'm thinking the food is not all that. Since nothing is going on I order a Gin Rickey and and looking at the dark dead kitchen I ask if the kitchen is open and I was handed a menu and told yes. I was going to do a burger until I saw the every day 3 piece cod fish fry and thought every day fish frys are super rare in the Milwaukee area and it's been a while so I ordered it fully knowing that it would be all frozen food for a reasonable $11.50. The place is dimly lit with a pool table, games, music machine, bar, tables etc etc and not really a dive like a reviewer said by Milwaukee standards because I have been to some super divy bars. My food came quickly and it was hot cooked to order because I was the only person having food and the plate looked good with three average golden cod battered fillets, seasoned frys, coleslaw, rye bread and tarter sauce. The seasoned frys were great because they were hot out of the fryer and seasoned well with a thin crispy shell and soft center. The rye bread was fresh and buttered and I made a fish sandwich with it. The coleslaw was commercial and cold/crunchy which was a nice texture vs hot soft food. The battered cod was like a beer batter with very average size pieces that had a crispy batter and tender moist flakey cod meat inside. Overall was it the best most favorite fish fry, no. Was it a good fish fry on a day where you can hardily get a fish fry at all, yes. Was it good at the $11.50 price point when you consider that the fast food sandwich combos are in that ball park and not hot fresh from the kitchen just cooked. Would I go back for the fish fry on a day that's not a fish fry day, yes because it satisfies my fish fry crave.“
“The baked fish was fantastic and included cole slaw, warm dinner rolls, and a choice of potato. We began dinner with cream of potato soup served by Chef Bernie, who was extremely attentive. It is not a super club. It's a bar with fantastic super club food and delicious Old Fashions made from a secret recipe. Comfortable atmosphere. Very reasonably priced.“
“Great Mukwonago neighborhood bar local hang out right by Phantom Lake!Amber took good care of us as we were hungry and thirsty after touring Lake House Real Estate all day and that burger was one of the best burgers I've ever had in my life!!“
“Very busy & noisy there today. Waitress forgot to refill coffee & didn't bring us salt & pepper when asked. Food was good tho. My friends & I always look forward to coming here. Our favorite foods are: chicken pot pie, or grilled cheese sandwich & soup! We always have to shop upstairs after lunch!“
“I'm new in the state of WI and a friend had taken me here for dinner it was great vibes n the food is great the service is excellent it felt like working in or visiting one of my favorite hang out in New York. Being a New Yorker its not easy to find good places to eat. This place absolutely I recommend it. My new place to go... Thank you to all the staff of Fork in the Road you all awesome.“
“A fine establishment with scrumptious food and a friendly staff. The Owners are wonderful! They care about there customers. It always feels good walking in to Sunset Family Restaurant because you know you are going to have a great experience. Thank you SFR! ♥️☺️“
“I always enjoy the food when I come here. They have a very large selection of food. The service is always amazing. Not to mention the interior design is elegant and very beautiful. It has a very nice consistent theme to it as well. I would recommend this restaurant.“
“The food here was absolutely awesome. The quality of what comes out of this tiny kitchen is amazing. Jen our bartender was soo much fun, kind, energetic and on her game. It was very busy, bit still impeccable service and smiles. Making it a new regular weekend stop for sure. Highly recommended.“
“Stopped by For a Burger w/ Pops......I thought the burger was better here then a place that has the world s Best Burger . Before all you guys start tearing me up about that statement........ i'll let you know that I moved here from California I don't really have an alliance with any businesses......“
