“This was our first time coming here and the food was fantastic! We will definitely be coming back! We got fried calamari, sashimi, the teriyaki salmon bento box and the chicken and steak hibachi. Everything was perfect! And the restaurant is very cute and plays relaxing music! New favorite place!“
“The best sushi I have ever had! Exceptional food quality that was fresh and incredibly flavorful. Tremendous value for the "all you can eat" sushi. Our server, Lu, was gracious, pleasant, professional, and provided wonderful service. A must when visiting Madison!Vegetarian options: 4-6 vegetarian roll options. We had the sweet potato roll. Fantastic!!Parking: Parking In front of the door as well as the lot.Wheelchair accessibility: First floor entrance with no steps“
“Nice place with good food although a bit too salty for me. But don't be disappointed that THEY DON'T SERVE SUSHI. Older reviews and photos show sushi, but that was the previous business. Go to their website for the current menu. Also, do not order the Hana Awaka saki unless you have a big sweet tooth - 34 grams of sugar in a 8 oz bottle for 16 bucks.“
“Love the kids and vegan menu. They also have tamari (gluten free soy sauce) and water available at their service tray which is awesome. Lots of gluten free specific options on the menu. Well priced. Love the junior Jacknife kids eat free on Sundays. My kid loves the toy area! All sushi themed toys which is “
“I had Salmon and shrimp fried rice. The salmon was nasty so I just pushed it to the side and enjoyed the shrimp fried rice. The service was fine. The atmosphere was delightful with nice soothing music. Nice little spot. And the price is righttttt. Very reasonable ?.“
“This place has moved down the street to East Towne boulevard by the mall. It is now called "Niji Asian Cuisine," but has the same staff from Takumi. We got a hibachi table, and the chef was absolutely fantastic. He made us laugh so many times, and made such delicious food. The filet mignon was melt in your mouth tender. The whole family loved the experience.Kid-friendliness: The kids enjoyed the food, but absolutely went bananas over the fantastic chef at the hibachi table. Wonderful entertainment!“
“Lunched with a good friend who recommended this sushi restaurant above all others on Madison's Westside. She was right as the selection was great, all very fresh & and tasty, and lunch specials were two full rolls for $9.95 or three for $13.99.There are beers, wine, and soft drinks and a small dessert menu. The interior is bright & clean. However, it is smaller and geared more toward a take-out customer as you place your order & pay at the counter. They do bring your order to the table if dining in.I was more in the mood for a finer dining experience, but the cheery ambiance and great sushi was all one could ask for!“
“Are you serious, 2 dragon rolls, and 2 salads for only less than 35, I literally came from Boston, asking to come here with my girl, and this shit hit the spot, am I coming back while on my trip---YES, am I getting the MOTHA FUCKING DRAGON ROLL? ARE YOU STUPID #BEASTED“
“I love ramen. I love ramen way too much, as a matter of fact. After my go-to ramen place near campus went out of business, I was distraught. I've tried several other places, only to be entirely underwhelmed. However, my friend and I tried Umami yesterday, and I can say with certainty that it was some of the best ramen I have had. The noodles are made in-house, and it absolutely tastes like it (in the best way possible). Our server Sidney (apologies if that isn't how it is spelled) was the sweetest ever, and had plenty of suggestions for us. The ramen is a dollar or two more expensive than typical restaurant ramen, however, for the amount of meat they put in each bowl it is well worth it.My complaints are limited and greatly outweighed by the positive experience, but the only critiques I have are:- The bamboo in the ramen was a little bit too crunchy- Not a big fan of the extra charge for some spiciness, but it was pretty yummy- The N/A drinks are tasty, but not super worth the price for the amount you getThank you so much for a fantastic experience! Looking forward to coming back.“
“Ordered a dragon roll and chicken hibachi for delivery. The prices are high but the portions are huge. The chicken hibachi provided 2 adult meals and 3 toddler meals and we are not small eaters. Definitely the best Japanese food we’ve had in Madison. Only negative was that the miso soup was bland. We will definitely definitely be back!“
“The happy hour menu is amazing! The tuna rolls are good. The veg fried rice was excellent with the mushrooms and veggies cooked perfectly. Decent vegan/veg options. The Ramen soup looked amazing--the soft-boiled egg & pork belly looked excellent! Very tasty meal & with happy hour it was easy to keep ordering food for a great price. The initial door host was a little rude--not welcoming or friendly at all ("Reservations?" was how she greeted us) but the waitstaff & barstaff were great.“
“Sushi was incredible. Beautiful presentation on all dishes ordered. Took almost an hour for our sushi to arrive at our table, but well worth the wait! Would have rated 5 stars but due to the fact one of the members at our table got their appetizer AFTER their main course. They were finished with their entrée sushi before myself and the other person in our party even recieved our entrée. Would have been a lower rating due to this. But seeing they were busy and still managed to make the correct plates, it became the best sushi I have ever had. Flavors were very good, fresh sushi. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The bubble tea was made in house! Cream Cheese Wontons with the sweet chili sauce were AMAZING.Thank you Yako Sushi House for the amazing meal. ?Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible ramp at main entrance.“
