Starbucks in Madison

“Fantastic Starbucks location. It is conveniently located within 2 blocks of Capitol Square and is attached to the adjacent hotel lounge area.The location is very spacious with plenty of seating and a large window. The store is very clean and the staff are excellent.I ordered a Paradise Drink but they ran out of pineapple bits. They asked if I would like dragon fruit or strawberries in it. It was so kind of them to still give me some dried fruit with the drink.The dragon fruit was scrumptious when paired with the pineapple and oatmilk mixture.“

“I go here almost every day before work! The workers are very friendly and they have never gotten my order wrong. (If you’re visiting the area though, I recommend trying a local coffee shop first.😉)

Parking: There is a parking garage where the fist 30 mins is free, but if you ask a Starbucks employee, they can give you more free time.“

There was no toilet paper in one restroom. That why I lowered the level of service from a 4 to a 3.
The music was a little too loud if you want to talk… Nice selection of songs but too loud…“

“I wondered around the Hyvee location looking for food. I am vegan and it is not always easy. Having been ignored by the grocery staff several times, I decided to get some coffee to go. The staff at this Starbucks location were amazing. The only thing bigger than their smiles was their product knowledge. I left with food I could eat and hot coffee. I will be back and kudos to management. Happy staff equals good management.“

“Beautiful view and conveniently right in front of the capitol!!! Downtown shop with great coffee. busy place with nice staff. Had a long steady line almost out the door but still efficiently got orders done quickly. what this store does is what the one in navy pier needs. sketchy individuals in here but not to buy anything.. otherwise great Madison is a beautiful city!!!“

“My experience at StarbucksThis starbucks near the University is like any other. Great, high quality, self made refreshers, warm or cold coffee, small snacks and treats and more. Definitely a high quality fast food chain. As I may have spoilered earlier, this Starbucks is right next to the University, which means it usally gets quite busy in here.The staff is honestly slow and rushes you a lot. In terms of price, Starbucks offers reasonable prices based on the quality and the portion size of the product.Overall my experience here was great. Highly recommended.“

“The atmosphere was fine, and although the wait for a beverage and food item was around 15 minutes, it was understandable given that there was only one barista working hard to keep up with multiple orders. The barista did a great job, but the place could benefit from having more staff. Despite some other customers being rude and complaining about the wait, the overall experience was positive.“

“The staff absolutely rocks this location despite being horribly understaffed and through all sorts of difficult management moments. They always take time to chat with me at the window and write super sweet messages for my puppy on the pup cups! I appreciate how they keep their attitude bright when they clearly have some difficulties with being understaffed! I’ve watched them deal with angry customers with grace and find solutions for hard situations!“

“Stopped by to do some work and caffeinate. Busy lobby but great customer service from the kind baristas (Shoutout Sam!). Just wish there was more comfortable seating options for me to linger longer at this location. All the hard wooden chairs meant the only comfy options were in the coldest corner with minimal space to do my work. Also- while the summer strawberry cake pop is flavorful its a sugar coma of strawberry poptart flavor. Even paired with plain coffee it's a bit too sweet for my taste.“

“I have had the most positive experience I’ve ever had while at a Starbucks or interaction with a staff member in general. A barista named Jen helped us and not only made our order perfectly, but was genuinely the sweetest person and made our experience and day!“

“I had outstanding service from Zari! She took so much care to customize our drinks, and she told me the most economical way to do it. We had a rough day, and she lifted us up and called me "Sunshine." Then I tried to tip her and she wouldn't accept it because she is a team lead. She is AWESOME. Thanks for turning our day around.

“The new manager of this location has turned this place around! Great customer service! My mobile order is always ready which was not the case a few months ago. Sometimes it would take 20+ minutes for just a tall coffee. Staff seems happier too. Case is well stocked.(it use to sit empty) Thank you all for doing such a great job!! You all work so hard and I appreciate that.“

“I visit this starbucks frequently and it's my favorite one in Madison. The staff are always friendly to me and the food is good. I can sit here for hours and work on my novel projects and sip on Refreshers the whole time.

To be clear I only rated the service 4 stars because of the fact that understaffing caused them to be forced to shut down the cafe many hours early, disrupting my plans to get more work done. This does not reflect on the employees themselves who work there, but on the decisions made by corporate leadership not to staff their stores adequately. I don't blame the sweethearts who work there in the slightest, I blame Starbucks corporate for not making sufficient measures to retain their staff properly. I really do wish they'd hire enough people to stay open to their full hours consistently on the weekends when I have the time and energy to write.“
