“Small, but quaint, little bar nestled in the heart of downtown Mercer. We stopped in to get a stamp for the Pumpkin run and decided to stay for a drink and to share an appetizer. My captain and diet was poured quickly and priced similarly to other bars in the area. The owner was working behind the bar and was both friendly and attentive given the number of people squeezed into this smaller sized bar. The bar itself is decorated nicely and adorned with wood siding on the interior, which gives it a real, homey like feeling. We couldn't stay long, but all agreed to return when the opportunity presented itself once again.“

“I get to Mercer a few times a year, and when visiting this quaint little town a trip to Heart of the North is a must. The food is amazing! The Seafood Bake, Prime Rib and Lobster and Mac & Cheese are phenomenal. Our service has always been great, drinks are wonderful and we love the entertainment! Heart of the North is a real gem!“
