“Giirlfriend and I stopped in for lunch before going to Saxon harbor and ordered a chicken bacon ranch pizza, its got to be one of the best pizzas we've ever had! the bartender was also very friendly, and we will be stopping back when the road takes us that way!“
“This bar was featured in the Wisconsin book "Bottoms Up", a book about historic bars and taverns throughout the state. This place does not disappoint. The original mahogany bar still stands - although it was originally moved in from another saloon in the U.P. when the building was built in the 20 's. The upstairs is largely believed to have been a brothel during the decades that Hurley was known for gambling, prostitution, and saloons. Now, however, the building stands as a testament to a former era of beautiful old tavern style. It is fun to just go have a drink inside knowing the nearly 100 years of history you are sitting in. Pool tables available.“
“Awesome staff and food! Our party of 10 called in on a slow Wednesday night when they were about to close early. They called back the owner/manager who was driving home to ensure our meal was a success. They waited on us and didn’t rush to get us out, let our kids play pool and provided large quantities of hot, delicious food!Very appreciated on a cold, winter night when all the other places around didn’t want to help a party our size! We’ll be back next time we’re up here!“
“I LOVE Joanys! And I LOVE Joany! From the first time I set foot in this place Joany has always made me feel welcomed and a part of the family, which says a lot when you're not from the area. Best breakfast. Best Bloody Marys. Best staff. Best customers. Best experience. Go there!“
“We stayed at Frontier campground in early August with some friends. We planned to ride our motorcycles to the local waterfalls and visit other attractions. Camp was clean and well maintained. Staff were awesome. I would absolutely recommend this to friends.“
