“Went to this deli/bakery and picked up hot ham/rolls and potato salad. This place definitely is one of the top places to go for this Milwaukee Sunday tradition. The ham was tasty and the rolls were AMAZING and the salad tasted homemade. Also have to say that the service was the best. There were plenty of friendly staff on hand and my wait to be served was minutes (honestly been places that I’ve waited an hour to get served on a Sunday morning). Noticed that they have homemade meatballs on certain days of the weeks plus several other Italian dishes I’ve always wanted to try. The Italian cookie selection looked wonderful (another thing I’ve got to try) I am positive I’ll be back!!! Really found a gem (totally by accident too...I had originally been trying to go to another facebook recommendation for hot ham and rolls but got the address incorrect). This is a mistake I am so glad I made :). Highly recommend this neighborhood deli!“

“The catering for my daughter's Quinceanera birthday party was great! The garlic herb chicken, broccoli salad and the Mac n cheese were a hit! Chef Shane was very professional. We had lots of good communication and he made sure to understand our needs. The process was very smooth and that is a blessing when planning such a big event. “I ordered my wedding cake for 8/30/24 through sweet perfections! My guests and I all we have to say is “wow”!! I ordered the Viennese cake and it was the most delicious cake I have ever had. My husband and I did a few cake tastings and Sweet perfections was the smoothest one of all, and they actually give you pieces of cake to try and not mix and match like other places. They responded to my emails in a timely manner and they were open to make accommodations and changes. I’m freezing part of my wedding cake for our anniversary, but I may have to go get a piece sooner!“

The lady on the phone wasn’t very nice and told me I had to order online then put me on hold forever. So I hung up and called National Bakery. Boy am I glad I did. “We mistakenly went on a Sunday when they are closed and ran into the owner Mark who noticed us and tracked us down upon entering our car. He told us he would take care of us and invited us to come in and buy whatever we wanted. We were so surprised and excited for him to recognize us and to be so kind to serve us. “I was incredibly impressed with a caramel cake I purchased. It was truly wa sone of, if not the best, caramel cakes I’ve ever had. I am very critical of baked good because I am a baker myself. She does a masterful job of developing and balancing flavors without her desserts being overly sweet. The texture of her caramel is silky and the flavor was decadent. The cake was the perfect balance of the appropriate moisture and density, especially for caramel cake. I had no issue with my customer service. The prices were more than I was expecting but when I tasted her cake I understood how they are justified. I am eager to try more of her treats. Kudos!“

“We used Periwinkle's Bakery for the dessert bar at our wedding on 9.9.2023 and I can say their desserts are a crowd pleaser!! Everyone loved the desserts and I loved how they cut them into half pieces rather than the whole piece. We had roughly 150 guests and we ordered 5 large platters and ended up with one extra platter by the end of the night so it worked out perfectly!“

Special order available if they don't stock it. Knowledgeable staff is very helpful when you aren't a professional baker, but are working on making 200 cupcakes look fun for a church dinner! “My favorite steak in town…. “Steak au Poivre” can be found at this great French restaurant (French not not haughty) in Wauwatosa. Favorite steak as it tastes great, and presented well. Sliced on an angle and sauced with a red wine black peppercorn reduction, it has just enough char on the outside to balance the medium rare I love inside. Along with taste, I love that it comes with my fav vegetables-haricot vertes and absolutely perfect French fries! So unlike popular steak restaurants, at LaReve you get more than just meat for the list price! Yum + Yay! The desserts? They are as gorgeous as they are delicious! The case is filled with sweet perfection, each one more beautiful than the next! Just so hard to pick which on.! And the macrons are iconic-crisp outside and soft chewy inside, take a few home with you! But what a treat to find a Kir Royale on the menu last night at dinner before a show! I’m sure it’s a direct effect of Emily in Paris Season 3, but maybe I just never noticed it on the menu before! I served these for Christmas ten years ago and when I saw Emily working on an ad campaign, I just knew they’d start to show up on menus soon. Lucky me! Bon Appetite! This place is great for a girls lunch or business lunch, A friends dinner or date night!“

“My daughter and I found The Naked Baker cookies at Outpost, so we thought we'd given them a try. We purchased two flavors.I think they are a little pricey so I don't know how often I'd buy them.We like the Gluten-free Sea Salt Chocolate Chip cookies. They are soft and flavorful.
