“Was never to Oscars before. I didn't expect that I'd be eating the greatest burger I've had in my Life. Meat was thick and juicy. Bun was clean and soft. Onion rings were hot with a firm dense crust. My friend and I were almost in disbelief. Staff was incredibly polite. Clientele, (place was packed), were well-mannered. Pickup fish fry isn’t usually something we do (thanks kidney stones for ruining our night) because it gets soggy but tonight we had to and it was really good. They packaged everything separately so the tartar and the slaw weren’t warm sitting in the container with the hot food, I had the combination platter and the package the baked cod in a separate soup container which was great. My husband had the blue gill and really enjoyed them as did our 5 year old. The food was all really delicious and I can’t wait to dine in next time. “my first time went there had a nice experience we came there from being at the theater downtown as a friend of mines said the place was known for their wings we order she order wings n I order like 12 plus sides which was nice size like the Buffalo wings went there yesterday 1/18/23 for a live music venue with Christopher project which was held upstairs nice older professional crowd setting after work I order a lemon drop martini which taste like sugar water for the $15 I was very disappointed n was served in a cocktail glass not a martini glass .. we were seated up close for the live performance which was nice .. myself n guests all order food at the same time it took like over 40 mins for my food to come asx2nd time here : the food menu had change with more options I order the Buffalo chicken egg rolls n the cheeseburger egg rolls with 6 pc garlic parmesan wings the wings this time was smaller like party wings n was cold n the egg rolls was terrible the waitress said the cook dieon was by himself which made the delay for our food I was offor a free drink however for me n my guest n the money we spent as the establishment is nice but this situation alter my experience as I was very disappointed this 2nd time around I'm hoping this could change“

The four of us sat at a table as the bar was pretty full. We didn’t know to go to the bar to order, so a bar tender came with menus to let us know. But before I could get all our orders together, there she was, at our table, asking for our orders! The food came quickly. The food came hot. And the food came delicious!

We had omelet, pork chop, Diamond special, and eggs with meat. All we tasty and the hasbrowns—crispy, flavored nicely, and enhanced with house catsup and hot sauce. The cooks did a great job, the bartender checked on us twice, and was ready with the check when we were!

What a great neighborhood gem we accidentally found. Oh, don’t worry, we don’t get to the area often, but when we do, we will be back!!“

Today, I finally had the chance to step into Jerseys Pub and Grill for my first official Fish Fry Lunch of Lent 2025! It's located at 4024 S Howell Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53207, and let me tell you – I’ve passed by this place countless times, but today, I finally got to experience it! What a hidden gem it turned out to be!
It all started when I met the owner, who just so happens to have a son at the same elementary school as my own. That’s when I discovered their Friday Fish Fry – a perfect addition to my Fish Fry Bucket List.
Now, let's dive into the mouthwatering menu options they offer on Fridays:
* Cod Fish Fry: Freshly cut lemon wedge, slaw, rye bread, and your choice of fries, potato wedges, or tater tots, all for $13.
* Fish Sandwich: Served with your choice of potato for $10.
* Shrimp Tacos: A flavorful delight for $9.50.
* Fish Tacos: Tasty and satisfying for $9.50.
* Shrimp Basket: Perfect for seafood lovers at $11.
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the owner’s warm and friendly demeanor – she made me feel right at home. Her impeccable service really set the tone for the whole experience.
As for the food – WOW! I was served three generously-sized pieces of cod, perfectly battered with just the right amount of crispiness, yet not oily at all (huge win!). I went with the potato wedges, and they were on point – golden brown, crispy on the outside, and warm & fluffy on the inside. The slaw wasn’t the creamy type I usually prefer, but it had a delightful, crisp flavor that paired perfectly with everything else.
All in all, this was a fantastic Fish Fry Lunch that I’d definitely recommend if you’re in the area and craving something new! Another Milwaukee gem to add to your list.“
