“I went for the friday fish fry, and although the portion size was nothing special, it was incredibly good. The place has a ton of parking space- though there's not a lot of sitting room inside. Service is a little slow, but it's alright. The wine selection is great, and the community of regulars is even better. This place is something special.... also, there is the absolute cutest dog, and they are actually the best.“
“My spouse and I stopped in for a cocktail and beer while waiting for takeout from the Saucy Swine. It was loud and hopping on a Friday night in March. Did I say it was loud? We found the only two available seats at the bar, but as is my talent, the bar emptied out in about ten minutes. I'm a bar cooler. Later I discovered there's a tiki bar upstairs on weekends. Redbar looks like a typical Milwaukee tavern, but it has a diverse crowd for St. Francis. We were treated well at the bar, and the tenders were friendly. I liked this place and felt comfortable. St. Francis isn't anything like it was 15 years ago. I dare say the Sout Side ain't the same. Third Ward, Walker's Point, Bay View, and now maybe St. Francis, are more East Side than the East Side. "The Times They Are A Changin."“
“Found this bar doing a Google search and could not have been happier. They were SO friendly. The food was delicious. We asked to put a certain college football game on and the whole bar cheered with us. Music was great. The owner was there and she's delightful. It's just a good old fashioned neighborhood bar.“
“Burgers & Bloody Marys were great. I had the Loser burger. Fries nice and crispy. Service was very good despite being busy & they gave us a free choice of a sugar cookie or chocolate chip cookie to all in party when check was received. Nice surprise. A bit of a wait initially & parking not always the easiest but worth it!“
“Fantastic burgers at any price, but for $10.75 you get the Big O, or a little less for the other burgers. Sides are great. Service is great (and usually pretty fast). Have yet to have a bad experience, and I don’t expect I will. I go out of my way to come here for lunch. Truly a hidden gem, although probably not for much longer.Parking: There’s a significant curb to get over to get into the parking lot. If you drive a low car, park on the street.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“I highly recommend eating here when visiting the Milwaukee public market! It's in the corner of the market with seating next to the restaurant and open seating upstairs. We got the lobster roll with a side of coleslaw and fries, and a clam chowder as well. The lobster roll came with a buttery bun and extremely fresh and flavorful lobster fillings. The side of fries and coleslaw paired really well with this entree and the clam chowder warmed us up from the cold weather outside. The food came out fast as we ordered takeout and sat upstairs with open seating. I would definitely come here again to try more of their entrees!“
“Service is great! Super chill atmosphere, they have board games and a live band. Drinks are great. I had a burger, that was perfect. My fiancé had the perch fish fry, fish was great, the breading was just a little too thick. More like a chicken tender breading. Overall great experience!“
“I have been coming to Kelly’s for quite a bit now and I just want to truly thank them for always giving me a pleasant experience. I was there for Opening Day yesterday and literally every staff member was so kind and had smiles on their faces despite all of the chaos going on. Compared to how you get treated at bars downtown etc. it’s made me realize how much I truly appreciate this place.“
“We walked in on a Sunday about 45 minutes before a Bucks game started. I am glad we didn't walk in an hour and a half before because I doubt there would have been space. It slowly emptied out as the game approached and started. What a lively crowd, super excited for their Bucks, who my son informed me were doing well. The food was amazing; you need to get the giant pretzel. The cheese curds were good. The fries were good. And our brats were definitely delicious! Highly recommend the Southsider.“
“Mandi is an amazing server/bartender. Our drinks and food were served quickly and we didn't wait too long for any refills. She always has a smile on her face and communicates with every single customer. She is friendly and an asset to Liquid Johnny's. We will definitely be coming back!“
“We came in with a party of 10 and despite being super busy they were able to seat us pretty quickly! It was nice and warm in the 3 season area and the waitress was working her butt off! She was running all around and very attentive to our needs. Food came out fast and drinks were good!“
“Love love love their boneless wings. Lightly breaded and good amount of sauce. Always ask what the specail sauce is, they arent listed on the menu. Very well priced for the food and quality. Fun atmosphere with plenty of Bar space and/or longer high top tables to accomodate a group of adults comfortably. My fav sauce is the greek freak (bufflo/feta). Anytime we are in the area its a must stop for us.“
“Unbelievably great food and value! The fish Fry & Shrimp dinners were outstanding! Extremely friendly staff and patrons. My girlfriend forgot her phone there, came back later and they were happy to hand it to her and thanked her again for coming. Can't wait to go back and try the ribs or a steak!“
“Stumbled upon this place while in Milwaukee for work. It is located not far from my airport hotel. Great neighborhood bar with a lot of locals. Talked to several, and they were all very friendly. The bartender, Erin, was very friendly, fast service, and liked to smile and joke around a little. Drinks were good, and the prices were too. I ordered a pizza around 9pm. Came out in a reasonable amount of time and was better than expected. Will definitely stop back in next time I'm in town.Vegetarian options: A few options for vegetarians. Pizza or salad.Parking: Small parking lot, but there is also street parking.“
“What is not to love? Service was awesome, food was excellent. Stayed in the area even though we are local (half hour away). Value for the money is way above average. Would definitely return and would highly recommend! And who has happy hour on Fridays besides this place? Just awesome! Only gripe would be the parking but that's not really within their control.“
“Easter Sunday and one of the few places I found open. I was out for a @WiscoMary Sunday Bloody Mary, and I was not disappointed. Magoo's has their own Tito's infused vodka with jalapenos, their own special Bloody Mary mix, their Worcestershire sauce includes dry rub seasoning. My bloody was served with a cheese curd, before stick, and olive . Connor was an excellent bartender/server. Definitely a great place to watch the game and have their delicious wings. Great staff, great atmosphere, great food.“
“Last night (Sat night), my daughter & I get out of the hockey game among thousands from the arena while the college basketball game at the F.F had also let out. We first walk in to Major Goolsbys & I was thinking "It will be the same old situation with these new times of age; having to wait for a table, then wait much longer to get service, especially with two major games nearby just letting out.", gee was I mistaken! There were still several tables available in your bar which has a high capacity & already had many attendees. We take one, within a minute a server (shorter young blonde whose hair was frizzied & in a tail ending at her upper back, said she went to UWM, I should've gotten her name but I gave her a generous tip) calmly & nicely came right up to us and took a drink order, then came right back with the drinks we had ordered, got our food order which we didnt have to wait long for it to be prepared at all (your hamburger & onions rings were delicious btw). The place was rockin'. I commend the entire staff for running a efficient bar & grill that has been a Milwaukee institution! You guys & "Someplace Else" on Water St. which burned down in the late 80's set the standard for Milwaukee's places to go to for drinks & bar food in which other establishments merely try to copy.“
“Steny’s is a go-to for sports, their trivia is so fun, and I cannot think of a time I’ve been and it’s not been great. Bartenders and servers are super friendly, you do have to keep in mind that when it’s absolutely packed, there will be some small delays!Vegetarian options: They have a vegan chicken that’s really great to add and are so helpful making something vegan for me. My favorite is the G Thang salad as a wrap with the faux chicken. Also, their side of veggies is the BEST most simple side you could want.“
“You won't be disappointed in the food, its really good. I just can't get over the beer prices.. 10 dollars for a beer is insane. 7-10 dollars for craft/local beer.. shooo. The food is worth checking out though. ??? Get the Half-Chicken if you want something fried and fantastic.“
“Love it very nice hospitality and very respectful employees. Made sure that me and my entourage was taking care of. And security made sure everyone was safe no drama good atmosphere. Definitely will be going back to patronize this establishment.“
“I stopped in for lunch and ordered the Italian beef wraps and I was NOT disappointed!!!!! They were absolutely delicious. Great crunch, great texture, and it finished with the right amount of heat. It was so good to me that I didn't even use the dipping sauce!! Thanks for the great food!!!!“
“This was our first time trying Braun’s Power House. We ordered a couple fish fry’s to go and were not disappointed! The food was excellent, 3 good size pieces of fried cod, delicious batter and flavor on the cod, great fries, great tarter and coleslaw. I wouldn’t hesitate to grab a fish fry from here again!“
“The service was great! We had the grilled ribeye and shrimp dinner with big side salads, both were very good. Loud music upon entering, almost walked out. It wasn't too loud in the restaurant area, but quieter would be better. Tons of parking.“
“When in doubt Colonel it out … to my fan”s of true Wisconsin taste ? and treat the Bloody Mary here was hands ?? down taste only the best yet I have had here in Wisconsin hollander .. will need to step it up for me … salute Mr.Knippel …. When I need my go too he was there 10/10… I will be back for another half off night … when I say best hidden good time … in a long time … to another escapade.. Parking: Great service Mr.KnippelWheelchair accessibility: Yes street level“
“Kid asked for fish fry so we did a take out order! After living near here for years, I was happy to finally set food inside! I could definitely cozy up with a drink or two there, but that wasn't in the plan tonight. My daughter liked her cod (enough that she ate it all and I didn't get to try it!), and my other daughter loved the bluegill. I did get to try that and thought it was really good! Seasoned well and crispy. I look forward to going back and trying some more food :) Do go for fish fry! Lots of options!“
“Jasmine our bartender, server & cook was a pleasure to meet. She's fun, has a wonderful personality and I'm sure she will be a valuable asset to this fine establishment.?? the food was once again outstanding and even though I've been coming to this corner bar for almost 30 years, this place has always made us comfortable, and we have always had an exceptional time with the fun customers we meet and simply fantastic food? thanks again?“
“The tap room has the best people working for it, they exceed my expectations everytime I visit. They are fantastic and make my experiences fun and outright amazing. Thank you for everything each and everyone of you do on a daily basis. It is always appreciated.“
“my first time went there had a nice experience we came there from being at the theater downtown as a friend of mines said the place was known for their wings we order she order wings n I order like 12 plus sides which was nice size like the Buffalo wings went there yesterday 1/18/23 for a live music venue with Christopher project which was held upstairs nice older professional crowd setting after work I order a lemon drop martini which taste like sugar water for the $15 I was very disappointed n was served in a cocktail glass not a martini glass .. we were seated up close for the live performance which was nice .. myself n guests all order food at the same time it took like over 40 mins for my food to come asx2nd time here : the food menu had change with more options I order the Buffalo chicken egg rolls n the cheeseburger egg rolls with 6 pc garlic parmesan wings the wings this time was smaller like party wings n was cold n the egg rolls was terrible the waitress said the cook dieon was by himself which made the delay for our food I was offor a free drink however for me n my guest n the money we spent as the establishment is nice but this situation alter my experience as I was very disappointed this 2nd time around I'm hoping this could change“
“This is one of my favorite spots to go in Milwaukee for fish and chicken the service is awesome if it ain't right they will make it right in my opinion...love this place I give them 5 starsParking: You just got to know when to get there...it can get crowed at times but its worth it...“
“Jon and Bob at J&B's are amazing to work with! We recently rented the back room for our school fundraiser. This is the 2nd time I've worked with them and they just get better and better. Cannot say enough about their flexibility and willingness to meet every possible request. We'll be back next year.“
“We came in early for lunch and a bloody. Skyler was the best bartender and was all alone at first, but you would have never known. Great service. Then Jake came in and he was amazing too! He ran some football pools, raffles, and made us feel really welcome for us to enjoy the Packer game! The burgers were great and wings too! ♡“
“There was a bar crawl there so the food was limited. Since it was busy I had a bit of a hard time getting service, but good with getting busy. I hear the food is good though. All abut atmosphere here. Would go back because it is so chill and fun little bar.“
“The Tribe offers great food, drinks, entertainment, and service. My husband and I were starving after a day of traveling from South Carolina. We popped into The Tribe to check it out and we were pleasantly surprised at all the updates and super clean restrooms. If you haven't been here yet, check it out!“
“Very big bar. 2 bartenders on a Monday night. Didn't have to wait for a drink. Friendly bartenders and prices were good ($4.50 for Tito's). Super clean establishment with friendly locals. If you ate close by, it's a good stop.“
“Stopped here after a downtown theater show. Only about a 10 min drive.Ordered a "Harry's burger" and did not disappoint. Thick, juicy and a PERFECT medium rare. Toppings super tasty. Waffle fries were cooked perfectly as well and just a hint of seasoning. Too many places undercook fries.....Service was good and drinks and food served in a timely manner. Nice relaxing atmosphere. I could do without the televisions but at least they weren't blasting the games.I'll definitely be back.“
“La Caleta bar and restaurant is amazing. The staff customer service is excellent. Let me first start with the dip with tortilla chips. You will not find this dip anywhere else. It sooo... Good. It is not the traditional dip. The food will not disappoint. believe me.“
“We have been here a number of times now. The food is great. The cheese curds are the best I have had in a long time. Drink prices are fair, at things the service is slow. The patio music selection o er the summer is very good, the place features various genres of music.Stop in for a cocktail and some food you won't be disappointed.“
“Nice little bar in a prime location. Haven't really drank there much, but I am a very big fan of the food. The sandwiches, soup, wings, and especially the fish fry are all great, and very reasonably priced.Only complaint is that it is a very small place, and seating can be hard to get at peak hours.Parking: Busy area, street parking near the bar is difficult during peak times. There is parking in the area, but you will have to walkWheelchair accessibility: Would be difficult, small place, with a step up to come in“
“Pretzel bites and cheese curds. This place is across the street from my house and it’s dangerous because these cheese curds are so squeaky and fresh. The pretzel bites melt in your mouth. Service was great! Love the outside seating area and the 2nd floor seating was fun. Very cool. Highly recommend.“
“This was our first time here, and I absolutely fell in love with this place. We tried multiple things on the menu and everything was awesome. This bar has a great atmosphere, and the daytime bartender I got to spend my time with was the best Bartender I have come across in a long time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!“
“Great food, Nice to have a bar that my husband and I can walk to from our house. The only thing that would make this place better is if they had shuttle to go to brewers games hopefully they can make it happen some day because then we would be a patron for life!!Parking: street parking“
“The build you own burger special was $8 for a single patty and $12 for a double. The burger was solid but nothing special. There were plenty of options to choose from on the byoburger. The fries were fresh and hot. The wings were crispy had plenty of sauce. I'd definitely order both again in the future.Went back a few days later and had the Blackened Chicken Sandwich with salad and cheese curds for an app. Salad and curds were great. Chicken burger was a little dry and was only a bun/grilled breast.“
“On a sunny Sunday my friend & I enjoyed cocktails on the outdoor patio. It had been a while since I was here & we really enjoyed it. Comfy furniture, sun or shade, friendly staff & some refreshing cocktails. I love that the patio is so cozy and set back from car & foot traffic. You feel like you are someplace else.“
“I come here every so often to catch up with friends over a drink or two. They mostly serve larger domestics but carry a decent selection of craft stuff. Good mixed drinks. But the kitchen - the kitchen is solid. They have the usual pub fare but it's well made and delicious. We ordered pickle fries shortly before the kitchen closed. They were crispy without any sogginess - some of the best I've ever had. Tons of TVs for sports if that's your thing. The patio is more my thing, seasonally permitting of course.“
“This was like my fifth time eating here because it is nearby. I had a cheeseburger and ordered the baby back ribs to go. The burger seemed a little more basic and unseasoned compared to the last time. Tater tots were fine.On returning home I figured I should try the ribs before they got cold since I've never had them from Point After before.I almost couldn't stop myself from eating the entire half rack! So tasty and fall off the bone with minimal fat. I'd like to compare these to Oh Dennis my other go to place. These are on the sweeter side with the BBQ sauce than Oh Dennis but just as lean. Don't know if they are this good every time but looking forward to finding out!“
“This is a time capsule into the past. If you're looking for an ultramodern vibe you won't get it here. But if you want to journey into the late 80s vibe and have a cocktail with your really good cracker thin crust pizza than jump in! Run by the owners, they are doing it all and prob nearing retirement so take your time and don't expect the service to be lightning quick. Sip that drink and chill w your friends. Wear your sunglasses at night. It'll be alright...“
“My husband was craving a fish fry, I'd remembered my brother raving about their food and especially the fish fry.We were not disappointed. My steak sandwich was delicious and cooked to perfection. Husband really enjoyed the fish. We also had the appetizer sampler, which was also tasty.Looking forward to dining in on a Thursday and trying the chicken fried steak.“
