“Had been here several times and it was always good. This past Friday night I ordered a perch plate, which was terrible! The perch was fishy tasting, the breading was thick and tough. The fries were barely warm and soggy. Probably the worst perch and fries I’ve ever had. On the upside, the walleye and coleslaw are good. I hate giving a poor review, and I would not have, except I messaged them direct first 3 days ago and they never responded. Not good business!“

“The bartender Austin was fantastic. I worked production for a band that played there. When I finally had the stage packed up at 1:30 am, Austin let me know the fryers were still on and the guy made me a dozen hot wings to go. I work stages all over Wisconsin, this was the first time I could buy a dozen wings at almost 2 in the morning.“

“We would have loved to eat out on their beautiful lakeside patio but the weather was not cooperating. We settled for a window overlooking the lake. Our server Camie was fantastic. We had the perch entree. It was delicious. So all in all a nice afternoon lunch in a nice place.“

“Recommended by some locals we met at Petskull, glad we checked it out! An older supper club that certainly could use a refresh, but that didn't affect the service, drinks or food. You order at the bar and when ready they bring you to your table. Bar staff were very nice, and drinks are very reasonably priced. Food was good and would be considered inexpensive in todays world. Salmon oscar and seafood pasta were the specials and quite tasty. Dining room is dark with a family restaurant vibe, but didnt take away from our total dining experince.“

“Transport yourself back to a simpler time and visit Beerntsen’s in Manitowoc. It was originally founded in 1932 by Joseph Beernsten and remain a family owned business until 2003. The new owners, Dean Schadrie and his family have a background in making chocolate and stated that they would keep it the exact same. I had not been here since I was probably in my early teens and 30 years later it was everything I remembered growing up. I was even able to get the same sundae, the Teddy Bear, that I got as a child, and it was EXACTLY as I had remembered. Even the menu was the same! They have 32 different sundae options for you to choose from. They also have a small lunch menu. Afterwards I had to get some chocolates and taffy. “A family member of ours was not doing well health wise and requested steak and mushrooms for one of his last meals. We called Courthouse Pub before they even opened and asked if they’d be able to do this- and 30 minutes later he had his steak smothered in mushrooms and said it was delicious. On behalf of our family we wanted to say a huge thank you to Courthouse Pub for helping us out so quickly, and for providing one more amazing meal for someone so important to us.“

You can sit at the bar and watch a plethora of TVs. Parking is sufficient. Comfortable and clean. Xavier will make sure you feel welcome. Good options for ovolacto vegetarians. They make margaritas the real way. Good wine selection.“

“Family of 4. We went to The Wharf on Tuesday 6/30 at 1130am. My kids shared a 4 pc. chicken tender meal ($14) instead of seperate 2 pc kids meals ($9/ea). The chicken was delicious and came with enough fries for all 4 of us to share. My wife and I both got the Perch Sandwich ($12/each, just sandwich no fries) which comes on a brioche bun, but i got mine on Texas Toast as I dont like Brioche. The sandwiches were fantastic. Tarter sauce is excellent, as was the Ranch. Our total was $40, no drinks, just water. It would be nice if they had table side service instead of a order/pickup window. Also would like if they had an indoor area with AC as it was hot and muggy with no area to get out of it. Overall we really enjoyed The Wharf and will be back if we are in the area!“
