“We were in town for a show and swing in for their Tuesday chicken sandwich special. Probably one of the absolute best chicken sandwiches we’ve had. We planned on splitting a sandwich but after a minor mishap, chef ended up making us each a sandwich and my oh my it did not disappoint. “For fast food the burgers were very good the fries were also very good. The quality of the food was outstanding for fast food. The price was also very good. This isn't anything gourmet but definitely worth the price. Hands down better than other fast food competitors. I really liked that there was malt vinegar available as a condiment for the fries. The menu is relatively simply which shows they are focused on doing what they do well. For what is an typical fast food hamburger joint everything ran smooth and was pleasant. If you are looking for a really good fast burger and fresh cut fries that were frozen and don't want to pay 30 plus dollars at five guys this is the place to go. I would say the food stacks up better than five guys at about half the price.“

I wasn't going to to write this review because I'm kind of selfish and don't want to ever stop by Wilson's for another Friday Fish Fry (service began at Noon) and learn that hundreds of people read my review and finished all the fish before I arrived. Excellent fish. Tasty seasoning. Five large pieces with fries and coleslaw under $20.“

“The Weary Traveler was a nice little joint we found during our recent vacation in Madison Wisconsin. It had a menu of sandwiches as well as other assorted main courses. I started with an appetizer of a Wisconsin Meat And Cheese platter which came with an assortment of artisan meats and cheeses as well as some crostinis. There was also some mustard and preserves as well. This was all really delicious with the bleu cheese being my personal favourite. I tried fome baked buffalo wings for my main course which were fairly large and had decent flavour. Not the greatest wings I've ever had but quite good all the same. My wife really loved her Rueben sandwich as well. The decor was really unique and the service was excellent. It definitely fed these weary travelers quite well.“

“This was a really neat hole-in-the-wall that is connected to the neighboring bar. You order at the counter and your food is delivered to you. The menu is on the small side, but everything I tried was quite good. Not much atmosphere for itself, but the bar it is connected to has tons of wisconsin dive bar atmosphere.“

“This would not be a four star restaurant in Paris or New York, but it is a four star restaurant in a motel in Madison, Wisconsin. I had the sirloin twice during a three-day stay in the motel and found it miles ahead of one I had at a popular bar not far away. I carefully described how I wanted it cooked, and it came just that way on each of the two nights. The mashed potato side is delicious and should not be eaten by anyone!

This is not a fancy restaurant, but is quiet and pleasant. Eating outside on the patio is also enjoyable. Since we live close by, we will be coming back regularly for the excellent food at surprisingly good prices.

Edit: We did go back again last night and I and my son both had the steak. Strangely, it was a lot thinner than before. Maybe 5/8 of an inch instead of 1 inch! It was still cooked correctly, but was no longer exceptional. My wife again had the spring rolls and she indicated they were not cooked as well as before. Also, I should add since people are reviewing it, that the breakfast for motel guests is no big deal. It is a run-of-the-mill motel hot-table breakfast comprising scrambled eggs, probably from powdered, and those little sausages instead of the bacon that the best places have, etc. So only four stars, but still a nice, modest place we will return to.“

“Our reception had the perfect setting at Garver. So spacious and flexible in design that every one of our ideas was doable. The staff were so creative and attentive to whatever I wanted. “NOT recommending Madison Mineral Point Road location. Husband ordered a mushroom Swiss burger. Got home, and it was a melt sandwich, overcooked and greasy. Not an option to return to get the burger he ordered. He waited forever the first time. Not calling either. It isn't worth the time and effort. Even if he had ordered this melt sandwich, I would still say it was greasy and overcooked. Sorry to all the good locations. Have never had a complaint about Culver's previously.“

“Excellent food! This was the last stop we made before traveling south to Tennessee. We had to experience Culver's in Wisconsin! Of course the cheese and beef is incredible. That's something you don't get outside of Wisconsin. It just isn't the same. If you have to wait a bit, it's well worth it. Everything is so fresh.“

“After months battlin’ monstrous waves and outrunnin’ the devil’s own storms, I steered me mighty ship into the harbor of Madison, seekin’ refuge… and perhaps a bite that wouldn’t bite back😏. That’s when I heard whispers on the wind of a place called “City Bar” offerin’ oysters for a mere dollar each. A trick, I thought. Or sorcery!
But by the beard of Neptune, it was no lie.
I staggered in, sea-worn and salt-crusted, and what did I find? A bounty of glistening oysters laid out like pearls from a mermaid’s hoard. Each one fresh as the morning tide, briny and bold, slippin’ down the hatch smoother than a calm sea at sunrise. I devoured ‘em by the dozen, like a man who’d not seen shore in years. My belly was blundered with beer and oysters! The crew behind the bar? A lively bunch, quick with a pour. They showed no haste as I slobbered down about 50! Now this right here… this is the treasure I’ve been searching for!“

“A very modern looking interior, with plenty of seating for its amount of diners. Atmosphere seems cold and not welcoming. The food is as expected and the workers are polite and attentive. Some times things get missed as they try to get you taken care of quickly. They are always willing to fix things easily.“

I usually get a cup but the smell of freshly made waffle cones was too tempting! I don't usually get vanilla but I'm glad I did this time. “My grandmother mailed me a newspaper article about the longest German word and asked me to call her and read it to her. And this Dairy Queen put it on a cake for me! I was so happy.
The staff was also very knowledgeable about which frosting colors and mix-ins were gluten free and made the perfect custom cake in the agreed timeframe.

“A&W combined with Rocky Rococo's pizza. Plenty of seating, but they are ancient and not very comfortable. Service on the slow side for a Friday and not that many people in line. Friendly staff. The overall has station is being renovated so maybe they will buy some new benches with functional springs.“
