From the moment we walked in the door until the moment we left, everyone that was working today was absolutely amazing. The entire staff kept everything flowing and Troy, hands down, was the best server I’ve personally ever had anywhere. He hustled and made our experience seamless. “It has been a very long time since I have experienced a superb restaurant serving exotic Nepalese dishes. Sometimes memories are hard to compete with. Most actual dishes just do not dance on your palate the same way you remembered them. Surprised to hear that Cafe Everest was so close to my travel area, I decided to give them a try. I had little in expectations as the blending of spices is a delicate formula and many have tried but none came close to my memories. Each bite led me to another, the spices brought me back to the same conclusions after each and every bite "oh this is good it is really good. I was and am delighted. I was so frustrated and upset, but I went back inside to buy another bowl. “I am giving this a 5 stars purely on the old food. I’m genuinely quite disappointed in the rebrand as the type of Asian-fusion food they offered was unlike anywhere else in Milwaukee. My favorite ramen, period, not just in Milwaukee. I just hope the owners have a clear vision for this rebrand because I know they are losing a huge crowd of faithfuls that would come regularly purely for the old menu. Would love to see the ramen come back, particularly the shoyu. Or even just publishing the recipes if this is really the direction they choose. Don’t want to never have it again.“
