“I LOVE Mea Cuppa. I have been going to them for years. My favorite go-to drink is the Velvet Elvis, but I’ve loved everything I’ve tried. Their coffee is so strong, but so smooth. It’s not bitter or acidic, which I love. It’s a good way to truly enjoy the flavor of coffee. I 100/10 recommend. It’s been a great little business here in Charleston. I love to frequent their west side location, and it’s always got a great atmosphere and very welcoming and kind staff. Definitely my favorite coffee place.”

You’re greeted with excellent live music upon entering, along with a fantastic food and drink selection to match whatever vibe you’re feeling. Management and staff are top tier. “On our way Home to Michigan. Spending the night in Charleston WV stopped at Bowlesboys up the creek. Bar none the best BBQ Brisket and Ribs we have ever had, the sides were delicious, portions were big, prices reasonable. What a find can't say enough good things about them.”

“My husband and I had Karubees for dinner. He had curry chicken and I had jerk chicken. The sides were cabbage, mac and cheese, and rice. Chicken so tender it fell off the bone and so very tasty. As you can see in the picture, I couldn't wait for my husband to shoot the pic before I had a bite. I love that her husband picks up all ingredients instead of having them shipped so they are always fresh. I highly recommend you give it a try if you like Jamaican food.”
