“The food was great, place was clean, and ordering at the kiosk was fast. I had a problem ordering a special deal on the kiosk, so we had to order at the counter. We stood there for at least 5 minutes and no one acknowledged us. All of the employees were focused on the drive-thru and making food. Once our order got taken, the food came within about 5-7 minutes, and it was fresh and hot. The young man that brought our food to the table was very friendly.“
“First time at First Place Cafe the food was very good and the service was great. They were very friendly and helpful and you get plenty of food. If you leave hungry it's your own fault. I had the bacon steak burger and fries. Burger was cooked perfect and the fries were seasoned just right.“
“Best bar in The greater Charleston area! Amazing food, topped only by the terrific customer service. Now featuring 14 pool tables, metal & plastic tip dart boards, 6 video lottery machines, large dance floor, large outdoor dining area, private smoking area, and the best burgers around! Check out the Friday night pool tournament for some of the best pool playing and players in the world! Hope to see ya here soon!!“
“The food is always some of the best around and their portions are more than ample. You most certainly get your money's worth. The atmosphere and setting are always upbeat and remind you of an old 70s style diner.Highly recommend stopping in here for a bit. They also allow Doordarsh orders.Parking: Located in the front of the building and around the side, there are enough parking spots to cover every table in the diner.“
“What a well hidden secret little treasure!! This might look like a little hole in the wall but oh my goodness the food was delicious!! We had a club sandwich, fries, mini corn dogs and a ceaser salad. The fries were fresh cut right as we ordered them! The meat on the sandwich was delicious and the salad was terrific! Every burger that went by us looked amazing. We were there with little ones and the servers were on top of things with a special cup and straw and brought a high chair before we even asked!!I look forward to going back and trying more of their menu!!Parking: There are a few parking places in front of the restaurant, otherwise there is street parking. Based on the few parking spaces available, it appeared we would have a little wait but it wasn’t at all crowded inside!Kid-friendliness: This is a bar they are very kid friendly! There is a discount for kids meals but they do not offer apple juice as a drink.“
“Such a fun hang out place that is super safe! Right across from the Clay Center for Pre Gaming any show! Wonderful bartenders! Super clean & nice to chill! We will be back over and over again! As a female I felt super safe! Have food that was delicious and light!“
“So my wife and I went here for our 22nd wedding anniversary, first time here, on a recommendation, and let me tell you that this was an experience. First off, I made a reservation, so they knew going in it was our anniversary. They had us set at a special table, decorated for the occasion, everyone here was absolutely amazing. Sandra came to our table and talked to us personally and made us feel very welcome, also Mark came to our table several times and took our orders and made sure it was all special. First off, we got the stuffed banana peppers as a starter, and these things were so packed full of flavor and were so large, I was super happy with these. I got the Cajun Chicken Pasta. again, the flavor on this plate was great, it was an amazing blend of spices, granted, the plate was not as it should have been as they were out of some of the items that went in the dish, but they substituted the items at no charge. my wife got the braised beef I think, it was great, I only tried a taste but it was really good, had carrots and some sort of sauce it was setting in, not sure what all it was. but it was very tasty. All in all, this was an amazing experience, Sandra and Mark were outstanding, and we will hands down go back again. Live entertainment made the night so much more special for us. Also ended with a Blueberry cheese cake cobbler. Recommended by Mark, and it was so good.“
“I can only comment on takeout as it's all I've had, but the bourbon siracha wings have me wanting to dine in! A family member often orders them so we tried a large takeout order recently. I will say, the bourbon siracha is my favorite and the medium wings were a bit bland, so I'll ask for extra sauce next timeThe fries and sides portions are also quite large and the fries are very good. The online menu is out of date as far as prices (by a lot). Please fix that. But we'll definitely be back!“
“This may cause an argument with some in WV, but I do believe that Suzi's has the best biscuits around. My husband agrees and this has been one of our favorite breakfast places for many years. Fast, efficient, and you honestly can't beat the prices. I hope this place is around forever and ever. 5/5 stars.(If you would like a recommendation from the menu, try the ham melt biscuit, extra melt. Fantastic. True cat-head biscuits. )“
“Absolutely awesome place and food....the decor alone grabbed my attention...then the server topped it off she was just the cutest sweetest lady ever.... food could of sucked and between her and the atmosphere I was in love but the food was amazing...literally walked out floating!!!!“
“Was finally FAMILY inviting not “the boys hangout” I’ll explain: I walked in there with $43 4 children, myself and because I had an unexpected bill I was ??. So, It was My Son’s birthday I had to do what he asked right? —-Again with 50$ left after buying his cake & other things at Walmart - We got a little thing of fried pickles (20 pieces round) for seven dollars everyone got a small drink and we played for one hour. (This was two game’s exact for us ) little bar thing down on the end, clean and new but closed on Sunday and a little café thing was clean welcoming looks way way different from what I remember when I used to hang out to drink fall decor. A bathroom marked family bathroom. I didn’t feel out of place as a mom alone and not one of the guys. I asked them to shout my son’s name out. (Happy bday so and so) I was not part of a birthday party which you can get and they did it for me. The vibe was way better than any year I been there.“
“I took my granddaughter there for a Valentines Day dinner. We arrived at about 4:45 pm and ordered our food. My hotdogs were great and the hamburger in the "kids" meal was huge, especially for a 6 year old. My grandaughter saw the banana split and of course I ordered her one. Living out of the Charleston area I didn't realize they closed at 5 pm! They were so nice and gracious! The gal at the counter insisted on making it and stayed over 15 minutes just for my grandaughter to enjoy the dessert. Her first banana split! The best customer service I have ever experienced, and great food to top it off!I have been around the world and can tell you to put this on your list of restaurants when in Charleston. During business hours of course!“
“Went yesterday and haven’t had a fresh whipped like they’re serving in YEARS! Went back today during a rain delay in baseball at Shawnee & nailed it again. Used the restrooms & they were very clean! Two thumbs up to the management & crew at this fast food location. It’s hard to find quality fast food but if I’m in need I’ll come here.“
“I ordered a grilled cheese and added a burger patty. We all know it’s cheaper…. I expected them to grill the bun after the toppings were added, but they just grilled the bun, added cold cheese and toppings and then wrapped it up. It was really just a burger with a grilled bun, and not a grilled cheese.“
“The employees are always friendly and the food and ice cream are always great. There aren't very many places that always have a staff full of teens that so consistently has such good service and friendly, helpful employees. (Actually, that goes for places that aren't staffed by teens as well.) We're lucky to have this DQ and its people here in St. Albans! If they would go back to not buttering the TX toast that comes with their chicken baskets (or buttering it before they toast it? I don't know), everything would be perfect. That's literally the only thing I could think of that I don't like.Parking: Limited parking, but there is a lot across the street at the Family Care call center — they aren't open in the evenings.“
“I finally decided to stop and try a Cook Out on the way to Charleston. I got the Big Double Burger tray with onion rings and hush puppies. It was a good amount of food for the price ($11). The onion rings and hush puppies were well cooked and hot.The burger was good too. There wasn't anything special about the patties themselves but it is definitely one of the better quality burgers you could grab while you're on the road. While it wouldn't replace the familiarity of a Burger King or Wendy's burger, it's still very good in its own right.“
“The drive-thru was super busy but we were only in line for maybe 5 to 7 min...so the service was fast and people were friendly...we got 2 cheese cake blizzards, brownie whatever it was, 2 hot dogs and they gave our dog Shadow (golden retriever) a pup cup of whipcream...Very Satisfied...Thank You“
“We stopped at Tudor's in Nitro on a cross country drive. Food was good, but the service was outstanding. We ordered BLTs that were satisfying- better than stopping for another burger. I left my purse there and didn't realize it until we were in Indiana (over 200 miles away). After confirming that it was my purse, they shipped it back to me. They were so kind and helpful. When we are back in WV, we will definitely eat here again.“
“So I've always heard the term "greasy spoon" applied to small, (usually) family-run, restaurants that serve good, comfort food to local clientele. I don't know if The Grill is "family-run", but it IS small, it DOES serve good, comfort food, and it seemed most of the customers were locals. This place is a leteral hole-in-the-wall, blink-and-you'll-miss-it, eatery. It could be neater or fancier, but that's not what's important at The Grill. Instead, food and friendliness is the name of the game. (They even use paper plates for some orders, but who cares what the plates are made of - I'm not gonna eat those!) I had the fried balogna sandwich with an order of fries. The server said I would be getting a plate of fries... and she wasn't kidding! Everything tasted great. I say give The Grill a try!“
“Hands down the best Mickey D's in the surrounding area. Stop here @ least once a day for a Coke for my wife & myself, and they've always had the best staff, service and consistency of any other McDonald's I go to anywhere. This particular staff really needs commended for what they do day in, day out. Mary is the best in the mornings. I hope the Nitro McDonald's is getting the recognition it so deserves. Y'all are the best!“
“Late evening stop at the McCorkle Ave in Charleston while traveling I77. The order takers were helpful and were very friendly. The Whoppers and mozzarella sticks were great. My wife tried the new Cheesy tater tots and said they were really good!! Good job BK at this location!!“
“Waited an hour for what was supposed to be 20mins to be seated. Never got the text even though we were right outside the door waiting. Girl at the desk tried to argue about it but realized I wasn't gonna back down about never getting the text. We were immediately seated after that, and orders taken. Food was great, will be back but hostess seems to be more interested in internet things on her phone than properly taking reservations. Great atmosphere and the waiter was phenomenal at his job. Food was 100% on pointParking: Lots of spots but usually busy so parking is tightKid-friendliness: Easy on the wallet kids menu“
“I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger in the drive thru. The gentleman who waited on me was very professional. They were quick and efficient in putting out the drive thru order. The only thing I didn't like was the mushroom Swiss burger. it has some sort of sauce on it that I didn't care for. Had I known about the sauce, I would have asked them not to put it on the sandwich.“
“Hotdogs not 'hot' this time, but usually delicious. A couple machines not opporable at full potential ie. Constant alarm for door ajar, no volume for another, and one kept freezing up. These were remedied with a slap on the side or a little shaky- shake. I'm sorry but I consider any disfunction be only used with a discount. And it's a must for volume at a reasonable level. That's part of the fun! Always love Putnam County for smoker's rights!! Good place, always recommended!!“
“I've been eating here with my family since I was a kid, I love it. I wish they'd bring back the smokin' joe hotdog! But they still have the classic big buford burger. Part of the rally's experience is eating at the picnic tables so if you want indoor dining, this isn't your place. Otherwise, I definitely recommend!“
“Delicious homemade style dogs. Got em fully loaded. Slaw and chili. Just a basic but simple joy. Reminds me of a gas station hotdog from the south. I mean that in a good way. It's to go. So no seating. That's fine with me. I'd definitely go back. A couple minutes after getting to the side window and your on your way. Get a few if you are really hungry. 2 was not enough...but is 2 ever enough?“
“Four meals exactly as we ordered via drive-thru at Checkers half way into a long road trip. Food was fresh. Thanks for getting all our custom sandwiches correct. Refreshing to get great customer service. Our first Checkers experience. Way to go Rick!“
“Great lunch! Dog friendly deck Taco salad was excellent; good mix of ingredients, queso on top delicious , beef crispy, salsa and guacamole fresh. The catfish sandwich on brioche was delicious. The fish was fresh and perfectly cooked. The burger was great; tasty fries and pickle chips superb. Despite being short staffed, the service was great—even providing the dogs with a bowl of ice water.“
“The service was great and quick. And it wasn't too expensive to eat here. The atmosphere was great and It wasn't too hot or too cold inside. And they were really pleasant to the us. The only thing I found unusual is that they didn't have a baby/toddler friendly bathroom, there wasn't anywhere I could change my daughter's diaper in the bathroom.Parking: Parking is right beside the drive thru and around the building. There's plenty of places to park.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a wheel chair ramp that's easily accessible from the parking lot“
