I recently visited Boxcar Coffee Shop for the first time, and I was thoroughly impressed! The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and a menu that caters to all tastes. The service was top-notch – friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which made the experience even better.

“Amazing atmosphere! I loved the interior design of the coffeehouse and the staff were kind and welcoming. I went around 1:00 PM on a holiday and it was pretty busy, all of the tables were filled so if you are planning to stay awhile and study/do work I would recommend coming early. I ordered an iced matcha latte and it was really good!“

“Usually I’ll be greeting with “good morning” when I step my foot into the door. This morning were so different. Although the room were filled with people sitting down having their coffee already. The two attendants were busy behind the counter. It’s my birthday today. I walked in for my free complimentary coffee. My daughter and I are the huge fans of this place. A Typical Canadian. Just too friendly 😊. I bought a Sweat top which my daughter convinced me to get one for my birthday. She owns 2 pieces of the sweat tops she got there before we left for our 3 months trip to Asia. So ya! I don’t know how to rate their service this morning. So ya! Whatever issues we have. Especially in public service. Please don’t bring it to work. It’s not fair to bring it on to others’ lives. We have no idea who can be walking into your place. That person could be wanting to be in a nice and positive environment because he/she might be having a bad time going on in their lives. That’s all I’m gonna say here!

“A favourite spot of mine that I frequent for a quick bite and caffeine hit.

Cool, welcoming space which features work by local artists that you can buy. Fair amount of seating. Menu is really fairly priced and something different than the usual to the south central Edmonton area. I usually grab their iced viet coffee but tried their latte today and also got their mushroom pepper sandwich that I forgot the name of WHICH WAS DELISH WOW🙌🙌 Their lattes are a tad too milky for me but maybe I’ll try a flat white or something next time🔥“

“Difficult to find because of the construction but clearly, I was the only one having difficulty. The place was packed. Whether it's locals in the Glenora neighbour hood or I saw s group of fire fighters, I'm not sure where are the customers are coming from. It sure have the place a busy and energetic vibe.“

“We had a chicken panini, tasty, very well served.The strawberry vitamin with milk was out of the world, it came with a kind of fruit salad, amazing.Very clean and the owners are super friendly.We will come.back to try out their menu again.“

“Dessert are really good... We tried and would recommend Funnel Cake-Pitache, the Belgian Creations -Chill to the cone, and Skillet cookies -for the love of Rocher, Funnel Fry Poutine- fudge and caramel concoction. Drinks are heaven too.
Service is outstanding - Shanu is very helpful and very friendly. The place itself is very spacious and clean when we went. We visited to other location too but this one is the biggest one we've been so far.

“I was still sulking from moving from Vancouver to Edmonton (sorry Edmonton, it's the water and mountains.....) however, I've perked up a bit, as I found this jewel 5 minutes from home - I thought I was in love with the cherry greek yogurt danish (I sampled alot of danish in Vanc, but, these are the BEST I've had)
however, I today discovered the pumpkin muffin, a soft moist delicious mound of muffin, not mealy and huge like some, just a wonderful puff of ginger, (molasses??) and pumpkin topped with pumpkin seeds, a must for a chilly morning...well, hello Edmonton, I didn't see you standing over there........Thank goodness for THIS PLACE - great smiling service, lovely food, and so close to home!!“

“My friends and I were on a bike ride and went to get some coffee, it was about to close but they let us stay anyways and before we left they let us have a donut each for free, AND since the box was too big for only four donuts, they gave us another two for free, AMAZING hospitality. The coffee was good as well“

“I remember thinking this place was the best in the city a long time ago before Covid & kinda just forgot about it. I figured my tastes have changed since then & tried a bunch of other donairs all over the city & kinda got sick of them. Went back here & My God.. I forgot how amazing this place is. Their donairs are the best in the city without a doubt. I haven’t had anything in Edmonton that has even come close. The crispy pita with the seasoning, the high quality ingredients & oh my God the sweet sauce… it’s all just insane. Best donairs in town without a doubt.“

“I like this place. I have never stayed to play games, but have been in twice for a hot drink and to check out the board games for purchase. This last time I was in with my son and husband, we were looking for some family games. The 2 guys working there this past Saturday were very helpful and had quite a few suggestions. We bought 2 of the games they suggested and a hot chocolate. We've already played both games and found them to be quite fun!“

“I only ordered a cup of Dark Chocolate Mocha. It’s good as a cup of Hot Chocolate since it has that depth, however, I don’t prefer it as a “Mocha”. I didn’t taste the blend of coffee and chocolate.

The barista present today was nice! She was accommodating and prompt.

I was also able to purchase a Hario V60 so it made the visit worthwhile.

I gave 4 stars for the atmosphere because it reminded me of a salon for some reason—probably too personal.“

“Hey now, this cafe is soooooo NAKED, I’m telling you… No, but really, this place has great cozy vibes, fabulous tea lattes made with love by Bob, and an excellent open mic every Thursday evening. Best of all is their inclusivity, in that nudity is not a requirement, which is great for me because I have never been naked (no, not even when I was born). Plus, as this is a public place, and public nudity is illegal, there’s that too. Worry not, readers, as no one here actually has their kit off, despite the name. Apologies to nudists seeking a suitable venue for their nudism.“

The owner lady and her husband were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. The girl serving us was also wonderful. she greeted us with a warm smile and great manners. The whole vibe of the place was cozy and inviting. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area.“

“Is a sterile looking place that also houses a pharmacy, the latte I had was standard, however the scone I indulged in was absolutely incredible. There is wifi and outlets to rejuice devices. Clean and minimalistic. I like it but it definitely lacks Hygge“

“The ladies who run the show are absolutely adorable and are so kind!! They have the basics like lattes, hot chocolate, Italian soda.. but they also have some seasonal specialty drinks which sound amazing! And some lovely baked good. Everything homemade. And there is so much space to sit and read or have a chat with friends. It is my go-to lunch spot!

Large enough to have a small work meeting too! You can book ahead if you need. :)“

“This is one of the best coffee shop in Edmonton. Personable, unpretentious and very nice ambience. The staff is friendly and provides service of delicious coffee.

They could improve their service times as it seems drive through gets first preference and walk in s have to wait.“
