“I ordered a pork vermicelli bowl via skip the dishes and it was delicious. The spring rolls were crispy and full of flavour and the deep fried pork balls were a nice addition. I would definitely order from here again, or stop by if we’re in St Albert.“

“You will not find another restaurant in St. Albert, that will feed you this well for this fair of a price.
Dietary restrictions: Vietnamese food is naturally gluten-free, but they take the care to make sure it is safe for me. Much appreciated.“

“I went for dinner here with another who's vegetarian/vegan. I had the vegan pho sate and a green onion cake.
The owner gave us a plate of their home made kimchi on the house. It was delicious!
They closed at 8:00 and we continued to site there and talk/eat until 10:00. The owner didn't mind because they were doing kitchen prep for the next day. He even came out and continued to fill our waters.
10/10 food and service. Definitely going back.“

“Outstanding ! We almost left as the wait looked long. But a lady leaned in and said “it’s worth the wait”…. It was Valentines Day Evening and I said to hubby we’d probably have to wait everywhere. So we stayed. I have to say. Impeccably clean. The table turnover was quick staff were very friendly and oh MY Gawd ! The food was as the gal said with the wait !!! We will for sure be back 💯😋“

“We visited thanh thanh today, I didn’t realize that I forgot my wallet and there were 2 servers who drove 40 mins in extreme weather and came to drop my wallet at my house at 10 p.m. I would like to say thank you to them, thanks so much. Sorry I forgot to ask your names. But I really appreciate your honesty and kindness. If you are reading this please send me a message.“

“IMAGINE THIS. Luuuuunch break. Your friend's family friend suggest this place and we go for lunch. To be completely honest, the pho was mid (mid being used in the sense before the way it is currently used). It's probably the low to middle of the pack of pho in Edmonton but not to say it's bad. Overall, it was ok and maybe we just went on a bad day.“

“this place has the yummiest food ever, you can tell it was made with care, the server is a sweet man who always made me feel welcomed when i would come here as a youth very hungry after practice. 10 years later they still mean so much to me and i see them every time i visit Edmonton. you cant buy atmosphere you just have to have it, and this place has the most relaxing and calm one I've ever experienced. the jasmine tea is always the perfect temp, the food tastes better than anything i can find in BC and i still wish i could walk down the street and grab some of his ice cream chocolate pears but i cant these days. i miss this place a lot im so happy to see they survived covid. 10/10 i have taken all my family here and even my nana ( who hates new food) loved this place. bring your family, sit and eat good food, this place has such a glow from the inside and charm. you cant buy that anywhere else. LOVE you CTNH“

“Just your shop to grab a Vietnamese sub to go. Delicious and the flavor did not disappoint for beef satay with a little chilli. Menu has English and staff understands basic English. I think this is one of the best Vietnamese subs I have tried in the city. It is a cash only shop so make sure you bring cash.“

“Yummy! My sandwich was so delicious, again. The bread was crispy as were the vegetables. The meat was fresh and there was just the right amount of pate. I have had at least five banh mi cold cut sandwiches in the past month or so. The staff are very friendly and quick to take your order and get you a glass of water if you are ordering to go. My favorite go to place for a nice light bite. Thanks Da Kao!!“

“Came in for Chinatown dining week. Had the pho with tapioca dumplings and spring rolls plus an iced coffee.
The broth was very light but beefy. The beef rare and really tender. The dumplings and spring rolls were my favourite though.“

“Excellent but cash only. A few unique dishes but unfortunately i haven't been able to try them yet. Everytime I come by I usually get the bun mang goi vit and bot chien because they're so good. Also rice dishes are great here. I'll try to give the other dishes a shot, but I'm sure they will be fantastic also.“

“This place has amazing food. We live west of the city but order takeout from here at least once a month. The Best hand made won ton soup. A great Spicy Beef Satay soup I searched far and wide for, I tried a lot of Vietnamese restaurants and this is my favourite in Edmonton. Always fast, friendly and tasty food. This is a hidden gem of a place, they should be busier then they are as their food is amazing and their prices are very reasonable.“

“Had lunch with a friend, the food is delicious and of good portions. I had the shrimp rolls (4) and the chicken vermicelli bowl looked good as well nice big bowls and it was towering above the rim. Kind of a small dining area but not bad if you miss the lunch rush. They have take out. Was priced ok.“

“Went for an early dinner at around 5 pm on a Sunday evening as our usual restaurant was closed. Only two other customers were present at that time. We were greeted and immediately seated. A complementary pot of green tea was brought to our table. We ordered #59 on the menu - Tom yum chicken Pho. The large bowl of pho had plenty of noodles and chicken. The broth however only had a very small amount of tom yum flavor. We had to put some chili oil to make it spicy. On the side they served the usual bean sprouts, fresh basil leaves and some lemon.
No napkins were provided and had to request twice for the napkins. Overall a 3 out of 5 for the pho. So far the best pho in Edmonton is at Than Than Noodle House.“

“BEST PHO IN EDMONTON! Get the number 19 (beef satay) i also recommend the spring rolls & ask for the sauce that usually comes with the shrimp (spicy mayo) the sauce for the salad rolls is out of this world. I have been coming here for 7 years & it has NEVER disappoints“

“Pros: The selection is good, food is fresh and kept topped up. The restaurant is clean. Good neighborhood compared to downtown. Cons: They no longer offer garlic by the sauces. We were not offered drinks or water refill. The soup was almost dry and we’re not offered more broth. I even saw the next table get their own broth to fill themselves. There were 3 of us and the bill came to $99 dollars with no tax. The woman’s toilet seat was frozen! The owner reminded my teen son (not us) that there is a 1.5 hr limit. There is a sign on the wall to say stop wasting food - I never started wasting food! There’s less rude signs that mean the same thing. Overall we’d go back because of the food and value. We have low expectations on welcoming service.“

“Hands down my favourite place for Vietnamese subs in Edmonton. Flavour, price, freshness, overall quality and quantity can’t be beat! I had my baby sleeping in the back seat and one of the owners ran out to deliver my sandwich to me, and refused to accept a tip.
Food aside, the owners LOVE Edmonton and are super passionate about revitalizing Chinatown and building a community. We need business owners and community members like that, and that’s something I really admire and furthermore why I like supporting them.“

“I have been eating here since around 2014 and I crave their PHO I usually order #2 small with extra meat and basil or with deep fried spring rolls so good. The lady that usually serves me (I think her name is Diang) She has always been so nice and always chats with me but all the servers are very beautiful and kind. The food is always so delicious as the name indicates. The noodles are wanton based and the taste ant texture is great and is always consistent. The meat, basil and bean sprouts are always fresh and tasty. The broth is so good and again has not varied in flavor ever. Another great thing about this restaurant is that from the time I sit down and order to the time I am slurping noodles is always under 5 minutes I have never ever had to wait for my order here and that is a lot more than I can say about most other restaurants. They also recently renovated and it has given the place a more trendy atmosphere. I cannot recommend this place enough it has been my fav for almost 10 years and I hope it will be there for many more.“

“I was very pleased with the cleanliness and staff at this location. Very inviting. I ordered the bun Bo hue. Came out fast and hot. It was delicious and fresh. And the price point is on the lower side. I was happy with the meat to noodle ratio and the slices were a good thickness. Well done.“

““Do one thing, and do it better than anyone”
Orville Redenbacher.
This was the marketing line for Orville Redenbacher popcorn and it was a very popular saying quite many years ago. People of my generation know the line well. Was the popcorn that good? I don’t think it was special . . . but the traditional Banh Mi sandwich at Nhon Hoa is! It is the sandwich by which I gauge all other Vietnamese subs against, and hands down, . . . it is the winner. I do the same thing when comparing pizza establishments-I order and score on how they do their pepperoni mushroom.
Anyhow, this seemingly basic sub has the requisite half dozen or so ingredients. The bread is freshly baked in-house; butter, pate, meats, cilantro, pickled carrot and cuke. I always add jalapeno. The price has gone up slightly over the years, but still a tremendous value and worth the $7 currently charged.
Add a pop and daily made fresh salad rolls and you are full for only $12.50.
Been coming for years and will continue to do such for many more.“
