“I went off a Google review that said this restaurant had good Bun Bo Hue.

And we weren't disappointed. The Bun Bo Hue was perfectly spicy with a lot of meat and fresh cabbage piled on top. It was delicious. Also its a huge portion for $16.75 a bowl. The salad rolls with chicken and peanut sauce were also tasty. The Vietnamese iced coffee was strong and tasted great.

The table was clean and comfortable.
The level of service was really good which that's a hard thing to find nowadays in many restaurants.

I also loved the art on the walls. Its not mass produced art that you'd find at a decor store. It was very pleasing to look at.“

“Absolutely fiiire 🔥🔥 my second time being here and it’s just MMF so comforting and delicious after a long night at the hospital. Last time I got spicy chicken Pho it was sooo good and delicious and filling I still had decent leftovers for the next day because it’s a generous portion :D this time I got crispy pork spring rolls and wonton soup and they’re bussin. 🤙🏼 highly recommend bringing your bros here for some top notch hunger satisfaction.“

With tons of vegetarian/vegan options, traditional and build your own pho, as well as the partner restaurant (Friends and Neighbours), this is an excellent spot for groups with various dietary needs. The appetizers outshone the pho honestly, they were all great. Especially the rare beef salad, perfectly sweet & tangy! The pho wasn't anything special, I found that I had to add extra chili oil for the pho sate as it lacked spice & depth.“

“Pho Hoan Pasteur never disappoints. I’ve been coming here for years and the food is always fresh, flavorful, and fast. Whether it’s the pho sate, vermicelli bowls, or green onion cakes, everything hits the spot. The staff are friendly and efficient—even when it’s packed during lunch or dinner, they keep things moving. With 7 locations now, it’s super convenient no matter where you are in Edmonton. Expect a bit of a wait during peak hours, but trust me—it’s worth it every time.“

“Pros: The selection is good, food is fresh and kept topped up. The restaurant is clean. Good neighborhood compared to downtown. Cons: They no longer offer garlic by the sauces. We were not offered drinks or water refill. The soup was almost dry and we’re not offered more broth. I even saw the next table get their own broth to fill themselves. There were 3 of us and the bill came to $99 dollars with no tax. The woman’s toilet seat was frozen! The owner reminded my teen son (not us) that there is a 1.5 hr limit. There is a sign on the wall to say stop wasting food - I never started wasting food! There’s less rude signs that mean the same thing. Overall we’d go back because of the food and value. We have low expectations on welcoming service.“

This is a hidden gem of a place, they should be busier then they are as their food is amazing and their prices are very reasonable.“

“Tried Delicious Pho downtown and while the food itself was tasty and the service was quick, the environment was a bit overwhelming. The restaurant is very busy and quite noisy, which makes it harder to enjoy your meal. Parking is also a challenge, limited spots and all paid parking around the area. If you’re already downtown, it’s convenient, but as a destination it can be a bit stressful to get to.“

“My wife and I love this place so much. They make the best sandwiches and they are to die for at a really good price. I recommend the lemongrass chicken sandwich. The staff are so friendly and kind :) they’re pretty quick on making them, it took about 5 minutes but it’s worth the wait!“

“Came for the Chinatown dining week special. $10 for a full sized sub and an iced coffee, it's a great deal. The banh mi is a bit smaller compared to other places I've gone to in Chinatown (e.g Nhoa Hoa 2). The iced coffee flavor was nice and strong, but it was a bit too sweet for my liking. I tried to ask for less sweet, but their ice coffee is pre mixed, so they could not adjust the sweetness. To make things more customizable, they could have some plain coffee available to mix and make it less sweet. Overall a good deal, and it tastes good, but I would probably still stick with the other banh mi shop my family goes to if there isn't a deal going on.“

“Ironically, I have never had the pho here before, but I have ordered several sandwhiches. The sandwhiches are not traditional banh mi as they deviate from basic ingredients. However. The bread is always hot and crisp, and the meats are served hot. I recommend the beef satay sandwhich.“

“What a delicious little family/mom and pop shop and restaurant! From the moment I entered, so many have come and go, either to order food to go or take a moment to come and sit in.

The portion of the pho average to large with the broth tasting homemade and heavily spiced! Late eaters beware, as some appetizers may have run out in the later hours. And the appetizers are WORTH it. The spring rolls were large, fat, juicy and piping hot with the perfect amount of crisp!

I was greeted very warmly by Jess who sat me at a table and promptly served me a water and took my order. I chose the 4 colours #33 Vermicelli. It was ready is a short time and it was absolutely delicious. The entire experience was worth taking time to do a google review of this fine restaurant and the server, Jess as well. I will be back.“
