“I didn’t take a picture but the grilled salmon dinner with broccoli and onion rings was delicious. Looked great, arrived hot. My husband ordered the grilled halibut with rice and asparagus. Really good! Best fish I’ve had in Alaska in 3 years.“
“This was our first time to Simon's. It did have great views. When we first sat down our waitress told us they were short staffed so entrees were running 30 minutes plus. That was fine. We ordered both entree and appetizers together. I had a Caesar salad to start which had more of a vinaigrette dressing on it and it was a little too much. I had haddock pan seared with green beans and couscous. It was good but a little dry. Then I had a cherry pie with vanilla ice cream and caramel. It was delicious! Overall it was a nice experience. I would recommend it!“

“Food and service was excellent!! My only gripe is the wine list which is small and uninspiring.“

“Tucked away in a cozy little spot, this restaurant instantly transported me to the backstreets of Japan, like stumbling upon your favorite hidden local gem. Sam, the owner, was a one-man show, effortlessly taking on the roles of host, chef, and entertainer. You can tell he’s got years of experience in the way he skillfully preps and cooks each dish, with an attention to detail and care in what he's going to present.
Since seafood is their specialty, we went all in trying multiple types of sashimi and grilled fish. The sashimi was fresh and bursting with clean, delicate flavors, while the cooked dishes were delicious as well and seasoned to perfection.
Sam’s personality made the whole experience even better. He made us feel like regulars. Between the atmosphere, the outstanding food, and Sam’s hospitality, this place easily earns a spot on our “must return” list.“

“Terrible service, brought friends from outside of state and it was embarrassing after telling them what a "great" place. Halibut was over cooked and too much batter. The waitress made a RUDE remark about a server who dropped a plate of food. We were basically ignored. It wasn't even busy, mid-afternoon. SORRY, I still have gift cards to spend because I don't really want to go back. disappointed 😞“

“Great Asian buffet! Every bit as good and nearly half the price of the other two I go to in Anchorage. Our hostess was so sweet and attentive. I turned my head once to help my sore neck... she thought I needed something and came right over. We shared a laugh when I told her. My girlfriend has put this place first on our Asian food list.
Kid-friendliness: I saw a family with two kids and the kids were eating lots.
Wheelchair accessibility: You can wheel right in the door from the parking area.“

“I ordered takeout for the “back alley smash burger”, after seeing the home made buns I knew it had to be worth the $17 price tag. And boy oh boy, was it ever! This place is far from the “bearded burger joint/new age stereotype”. Their burger and chips are amazing, all homemade ingredients. I highly HIGHLY recommend you to try out Altruro Bistro, don’t let the pricing scare you away from what the menu has to offer, it’s worth every last penny!!!“

“The best seafood I had in Alaska. My wife had the king salmon and I had the halibut cheeks. Both dinners were perfectly prepared. Our server was excellent and I am so glad he recommended the halibut cheeks. These are firmer than halibut similar to a scallop. The food was nicely seasoned. They have a good wine list and an outstanding bar. Nearly every table has a beautiful window view of the bay. If you only have 1 night in Anchorage, this is the place for dinner. Be sure to reserve a table since they are always fully booked.“

“Enjoyed our meal here. We had the meatloaf, hunters pie , crab paddy melt and fries with salmon chowder. I loved the flavors and portion of the fries it was very savory as the fries soaked up the chowder. My fellow eating buddies enjoyed their savory meals as well. The 49state smoked lager was excellent.“

“Been going to this Korean restaurant several times over the past few years whenever I'm in town. Frequented by locals, so you know it's pretty authentic.
The banchan (side dishes) are tasty and they are generous with the variety. My usual items to order are the soft tofu soup and grilled Galbi. Both are pretty tasty but recently I've found that it can taste a little too salty.“

“The Double Bacon Burger 🍔 😋 From Max Burger (Add the 2nd pattie) I can not say enough about this place. Located at 5430 Northern Lights Blvd. Max Burgers was my first introduction to the Alaska Burger scene almost 10 years ago. All I can say about it is if you know, you know. The price, flavor, and overall presentation will keep you licking your fingers long after you leave. In fact it is so good you will indeed slap your momma, your uncle, your parrot, and most likely your nearest co-worker. Do not get me wrong, Arctic Roadrunner, Wee B's, Long Branch Saloon, Altura Bistro , Tommys, & City Boys are in the elite league for bedt burgers in Anchorage. This place just flys under the radar. Give them some love.“

“Largest selection of bone in steaks in anchorage, the A5 wagyu is phenomenal, great seafood. Live music Thursday-Saturday. Full bar, craft cocktails, extensive wine menu, and whiskey selection.“
“The food had good taste and flavor, and the bartender was friendly and had good recommendations. The atmosphere was chill and just what was needed after a Monday-like-Tuesday, I'll be returning again in the future :)
Technical notes: Food came in a timely manner, attentive staff, and the venue offered a relaxing atmosphere where the music wasn't too loud but just loud enough for general conversation. Utilities were clean and well kept.“
“Breakfast was included with my Platinum Bonvoy Marriott status. The buffet was good. Bacon strips are well cooked and not too dry. There is a station to get eggs, omelette and waffle made to order. There is some fruits but not that much. I prefer when the bread buffet have more choices of grains cereal bread. Here many white plain bread or beige plain bread (not much grains there...). So only 4 stars because of lack of interesting breads here.“

“Inside the Lakefront Anchorage hotel, this is the best place to eat at hotel. There isn't really much available walking distance from the hotel, so you are basically have the options: Flying Machine, hotel shuttle downtown or get a taxi/Uber/Lyft elsewhere.[
We eat here a couple different times and Seafood Benedict was amazing. It had salmon, shirmp, crab, light hollandaise sauce. The seasoned potatoes were a perfect crisp and seasoned. The other time we ate we had the buffet and that was pretty good too.
Great view of the water and able to watch planes take off and land on the water.“
“We were here on a dreary Sunday and lunch was absolutely uplifting! Sorry we ate too fast so missed taking photos. I had DELICIOUS seafood chowder—the perfect ratio of clams, salmon, celery and potatoes and seasoned perfectly. My husband had a salmon bowl and was impressed with the varieties in it. The restaurant is immaculate, the service is friendly and quick—we highly recommend this great Muse!“

“Honestly the best Chinese in anchorage. We had a few different dumplings and mapo tofu. It’s a little slow, but it can be excused because it’s on the spot. The food was phenomenal. Straight up. Will absolutely be back. I recommend the xiao long baos and spicy wontons!!!“
