Every dish was a delightful surprise, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a special night out. I can’t recommend Jazz Bistro enough — a true gem in Fairbanks.“

It has a lot to offer from a meal to gas and maybe a souvenir. Truckers appreciate the location and a chance for a break from the road.“

“This place was amazing! We have been twice so far during our visit to Fairbanks and have had baked potato soup, breakfast burritos, nachos, a brownie, muffin & tea ♥️ It has all been so good. I am vegan and my husband isn’t so it’s always a treat to find a place that’s great for us both. There is a pastry case full of vegan and gf treats & the owner also wrote me a list of other restaurants with vegan options in town. Can’t recommend this place more!“

“It's been a while since I've been back here, and that's a shame, but with 23 Thai restaurants in the Fairbanks area, I try to vary it some. Going back today reminded me how consistently good they are with their dishes, and how they make the best tom yum I have had (I'm keeping track with a spreadsheet). Going there today was a good reminder that I need to go back far more frequently than I do. The atmosphere inside is more utilitarian than aesthetically designed , but they know what they are doing when it comes to making food. My only complaint is the use of Styrofoam and plastic to-go containers making direct contact with hot food in takeout. We would prefer paper-based containers, or a parchment paper barrier to minimize contact with the plastic.“

“Fast, Took order, fair price for quality food. The only real complaint I would have is that there should be more seating options for those waiting rather than a single bench.

Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free options available.“

“If you want food to go and don't want to pay a $6 cover charge to the bar. You have to go through the side door. This takes you to the back of the kitchen. I've seen many kitchens. Some clean some not so clean.This was right in the middle. But dirty kitchens is where some of the best food comes from. Food was very good.I just wish I didn't see where it came from.“

“Heard about this place while vacationing to see the auroras and was so glad we stopped by. The staff was very helpful in educating us and we were amazed at how good the drinks were. While a bit curt, the lady owner was very kind and patient. We appreciated the time she took out of her schedule to educate and instruct us.

We spirited away a few bottles back to the itty bitty state of Texas and have recreated some of the recipes for friends. Everyone is impressed.

Now we need to get back up to Fairbanks to get a few more bottles. Maybe a summer visit this time can be our excuse.

Vanilla Lime vodka for the Alpen Glow is a must. There is nothing else out there like it.

I went the next day and the food was delicious. I had the fresh spring rolls and drunken noodles. Not spicy at all so if you like heat, you will need to ask them to add more heat.“

“10-15-24: I can no longer list this as one of the top 5 biscuits and gravy places in Fairbanks area. Today's meal was not pleasant. Gravy was good but biscuits were not biscuits, but a cornbread style that was very dry. I was very disappointed.

“Only in Fairbanks for a few days, so we’ve basically been eating our way through town nonstop because the food scene here is honestly pretty great. We were already disgustingly full from breakfast, but somehow still made room for Irashai Sushi… zero regrets.

The place is always really clean. Every roll we ordered was fresh, beautifully presented, and completely on point. The fish tasted clean and high quality and nothing felt heavy or overdone, which says a lot considering how full we already were.

The prices were fair for the quality and portions, and we left feeling ridiculously satisfied (and slightly questioning our self-control).

If you’re in Fairbanks and craving sushi, Irashai absolutely delivers. Even when you swear you can’t eat another bite… you’ll find room. 🍣“

“Can't comment on the food but Alexandra the bartender absolutely made the last night of our hard earned vacation worth it. It was undoubtedly busy, but she was hustling with CVS receipt long tickets, handling the bar and two restaurants by her self. To the management, you needs a barback. Several tables were upset with service but as far as I could tell it was a staffing issue, not the employees themselves. Thank you for a fine farewell from Alaska!“

“Food poisoned at the Boniface Taco King March 10th, 2025. I think the open sauces haven't been changed in a while, or the shrimp was bad in my burrito. I threw up multiple times throughout the night into the next morning. Laid in bed all day March 11th I haven't eaten in 24hrs. It's now March 12th, and I'm still on fluids only. This is the first time this has happened to me at one of your locations. I've eaten at other Taco King's and your food is really good, but this past experience was horrible.“

“We had a large work gathering here and the Blue Flame was a wonderful venue. They opened early for us so we could set up, the food was great, and the service was excellent. They were super accommodating; I highly recommend this restaurant if you have a large group.“
