If you’re looking for both spectacular food and entertainment in Fairbanks, Shogun Japanese Restaurant is the place to go! My family of eight visited during peak hours and, to our delight, we were seated within just two minutes. This wasn’t due to a lack of patrons—quite the opposite—the restaurant was bustling, but the staff’s efficiency and excellent service made the seating process seamless.

The food at Shogun is nothing short of excellent. Although it deviates from traditional Japanese presentation, the artistic flair and craftsmanship of the chefs were truly a spectacle, capturing the attention and admiration of our kids. Each dish was a display of culinary art, enhancing the overall dining experience.

We ordered the steak and chicken, both grilled to absolute perfection, and the gyoza, prepared in a traditional Japanese Hiroshima style, which was authentic and delicious. The restaurant also offered a variety of Japanese drinks, adding to the authenticity and depth of our meal.

Ordered it spicy and was pleased to see fresh serrano chiles thrown in instead of spicy paste. My wife got the Duck pho... that seriously was the best we have ever had in our lives. We lived in San Francisco for almost 10 years and tried plenty of it, but Siam Square has the best guaranteed. The broth was umami, sweet, rich, had depth... the duck was so tender and cooked perfectly.
I can tell it's ran by a sweet family dedicated to their passion of cooking. With so many Thai options curiously available in Fairbanks, this place definitely is a top contender ?“

“The atmosphere is great with the bubble wall and player piano, etc. The bathrooms are clean. The seating is comfortable and adjustable. We have come here many many times since they opened. They had been our favorite sushi place in town. Toyko Express was another favorite before they sadly closed. However, our last two experiences were not the best, and we will be giving our future business to others: Ninja, Aijimi, Irashai, Seoul Gate...and so many more options in our little town! I went the next day and the food was delicious. I had the fresh spring rolls and drunken noodles. Not spicy at all so if you like heat, you will need to ask them to add more heat.“

“I recently visited Taco King, and it was an amazing experience! The food is absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. Every taco I tried was perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor.
The service was excellent as well. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal.

It was undoubtedly busy, but she was hustling with CVS receipt long tickets, handling the bar and two restaurants by her self. To the management, you needs a barback. Several tables were upset with service but as far as I could tell it was a staffing issue, not the employees themselves. Thank you for a fine farewell from Alaska!“

We were taken care of by not just a good, not a great but my all time best server I have ever had. Her name is Jenna.
