“Very good ribs and food here is always consistent. I wish I was around back when Big Daddy was smoking the Q because he was one of the Pitmaster legends in Alabama back in the day. I know he would probably be turning in his grave if he heard what I'm about to say because he was a "ribs & white bread only" type of guy, but the banana pudding is the truth!!!
Vegetarian options: I think I saw a couple of plants outside! Inside, not so much!!

“I love having Dockside open up Hwy 43 to give us another option for dinner close to home! If you haven’t tried the fried shrimp or the catfish, you’re definitely missing out! There’s just something extra about the breading that had me eating ALL my shrimp and not sharing with my husband! 🤣 Highly recommend checking it out!“

“I came to Tuscaloosa to see my doctor which I traveled 3.5 hrs to get to ! My daughter had been telling me how we should go to this restaurant when we get into town and I’m glad we did !!!! I wish I knew the cashier name who took my order but what a impact ?? she was such a SWEEEEETHEART !! My baby loved her as you can see !! I highly recommend Fujiyama ❤️❤️ Amazing customer service and delicious food !!! I will be back very soon !!!!“

“City Cafe has been our favorite little place for over 30 yrs. This cafe is an absolute gem! Sweet tea and dumplings are excellent! Breakfast and lunch here is incredibly delicious. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for catching up with friends. The owners are great and the staff are friendly and really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome - definitely a go-to spot in the neighborhood!"“

“Was working in Tuscaloosa and a restaurant with a two hour wait recommended the River. We had the steak filet and the seared tuna. Both dishes were absolutely amazing. The service was outstanding and the whole experience was just classy and comfortable. Brussel sprouts were on special for an appetizer, they were the best we’ve ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“Urban Cookhouse has a simple easy to order menu. It was packed last time I had lunch. Turnover is pretty fast so finding a seat is not difficult. Outdoor patio will be more conducive as fall comes and the heat reduces. Great staff - very helpful. Healthy menu!
Parking: There are spaces all around the building so don't worry if you cannot find a parking space right in front of the doors. You may have to walk 40 yards at the most.
Kid-friendliness: Menu kids will eat from with healthy choices.
Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible by wheelchair. The staff will help you out of they see you are having trouble“

“The food was modestly priced, which I appreciated, but the skin on the plantation sausage was really hard. Also, the place had a faint smell of mildew.
The waiter was great and super friendly. We were thankful that there was a place open so early! I teach school, so it's hard for me and my fiance to find somewhere to sit down and eat in the morning before work. I will be going back.“

“This is a great place to eat! The staff are always fast and courteous. The food is delicious, and the portions are immense, well worth the prices.
Vegetarian options: Highly recommended for a great meal at a fair price with a fun atmosphere.
Kid-friendliness: It is a bar/ restaurant, so getting there early for dinner would be best if you're bringing younger kids. We've never had any issue with unruly patrons.
Wheelchair accessibility: It is fully wheel chair accessible.“

“do not eat here thay cooked my food while cleaning the grill ,I am 63 with stomach problems ,it made me sick after I swolled. the first bite ,I call the owner that done no good he didn't care if it made me and my wife sick or not and good as called me lier so no I will never go there again and you shouldnt and I think thay done it just because I call in a late order .“

“Saturday lunch with children. The lamb and chicken were hot. The fruit was fresh. I do wish my Tomato Basil had been grilled on both sides or at least warm rather than served refrigerator-cold it was still tasty! I always forget to order extra rice. We LOVE the rice!

“For a dining hall, it is way above average. Additionally, unlike Fresh Foods, it is open for dinnertime as well as on the weekends. The food is great but I will admit that this place has tough competition. Location can also be a hassle for those who do not live and/or go to classes nearby. Other than that, great.“

“Me and my wife kept saying we needed to try this place and would always forget about it until one night. I have to say some of the best food I’ve had at any Mexican restaurant plenty of flavor, lots of variety. Since first trying this place we have been back multiple times and every single time with the same exact customer service no matter the time. All of the staff are happy with good attitudes and even humor. The cocktails are nice as well. Definitely a place with great food for a great price. We have for sure found our new go to spot.“
