“I came to Tuscaloosa to see my doctor which I traveled 3.5 hrs to get to ! My daughter had been telling me how we should go to this restaurant when we get into town and I’m glad we did !!!! I wish I knew the cashier name who took my order but what a impact ?? she was such a SWEEEEETHEART !! My baby loved her as you can see !! “Was working in Tuscaloosa and a restaurant with a two hour wait recommended the River. We had the steak filet and the seared tuna. Both dishes were absolutely amazing. The service was outstanding and the whole experience was just classy and comfortable. Brussel sprouts were on special for an appetizer, they were the best we’ve ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“I love having Dockside open up Hwy 43 to give us another option for dinner close to home! If you haven’t tried the fried shrimp or the catfish, you’re definitely missing out! There’s just something extra about the breading that had me eating ALL my shrimp and not sharing with my husband! 🤣 Highly recommend checking it out!“

“I came into town for the Florida vs Alabama baseball series, and this place was highly recommended by locals and lived up to the expectations.
I had a western omelette with sausage, a small side of grits, and two stacks of pancakes, and everything was excellent.
The omelette was cooked just right and full of flavor, the grits were warm and smooth, and the pancakes were soft and fresh.
The food came out hot, the service was great, and the overall experience was on point. Definitely a solid spot for breakfast. I will be back.“

“I had a really good experience at Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe. The food was delicious—especially the pitas and gyros. We tried both the beef and the lamb, and both were very flavorful and well-cooked.
One small recommendation: if you’re planning to order an extra side, you might want to skip the potatos. They already include a small portion of chips/snack with the meal, so ordering potates is a bit redundant.
The place itself is quite spacious—larger than you might expect—and very clean. The location is also convenient, and they have outdoor seating, which is great if you want to enjoy your meal outside, especially during the summer.
In terms of price, it’s a bit on the higher side. We spent around $35 for two people, which for students can feel slightly expensive—but the quality of the food makes it worth trying at least once.
Overall, a great spot to explore Mediterranean food in Tuscaloosa!“

“do not eat here thay cooked my food while cleaning the grill ,I am 63 with stomach problems ,it made me sick after I swolled. the first bite ,I call the owner that done no good he didn't care if it made me and my wife sick or not and good as called me lier so no I will never go there again and you shouldnt and I think thay done it just because I call in a late order .“

“Had a great experience at Jalapeños Mexican Grill. The service was excellent from the moment we arrived, and the food was honestly impressive.
I highly recommend the pork belly tacos — full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The Combo Fajitas were also amazing, with steak, chicken, and shrimp all served together and incredibly delicious. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared.
It’s definitely a great place to visit if you’re in Tuscaloosa: excellent food, friendly service, and very affordable prices. Really good value for the quality you get. Highly recommended!“

“We drove out of the way to find this place after a playoff baseball game in cottondale.
It was soooo worth it. Prices are very reasonable and portions were surprisingly large!!
We ate fill the fish tacos, shrimp quesadillas and guacamole tacos. What a refreshing change to find Tex mex that tastes fresh!!!

“So wonderful! I got the fish tacos and I have never in my life enjoyed it more then here. It tilapia and is just amazing. It’s served with rice and beans and a little salad. Would order again! I husband order the chicken fingers and those are amazing as well!!!!! Forgot to take a photo of those and I devoured one taco before taking a picture of my plate. 10/10“
