Chicken Restaurants near Fultondale

“Shoutout to Zaxby’s in Fultondale. I went to get food for the ER and CICU at Brookwood Hospital to thank them for taking good care of my husband Hewey Lawson. The best customer service and they all wished him a speedy recovery. Caring people❤️ They even remembered me when I came back to get dinner for the family since it smelled so good!“

“Caroline really makes this Hattie B’s a wonderful experience right from the very start! She is kind and is so helpful explaining the menu! First impression 11/10! I ordered the sandwich with a side of bacon grits and both were fantastic! I would highly recommend coming here if you visit Nashville. On the flip side, if you ever happen to find yourself in Maine, come visit me at Morning Moose Coffee! You won’t be disappointed!“

“I can’t stop thinking about that chicken. Went to Bham for work and walked there twice to get it. Now I’m Finna fly back to Alabama just to have it again!“

“Best chicken salad Ive had with various selections of flavors. Love it“

“I absolutely love coming to this Chick-fil-A in Gardendale. The facility is always spotless, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the food is consistently incredible — but that’s something most of America already knows.

What really sets this location apart is the leadership team. They’re top-notch in every way: professional, kind, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile. You can feel the positive culture the moment you walk in.

This is hands-down one of the best Chick-fil-A experiences anywhere. Gardendale is lucky to have this team!“

“Great food and great service“

“I definitely recommend coming to this location! The food was amazing and so was the service! I would also like to send some appreciation to Anna (I believe is her name) the cashier at this location she was phenomenal extremely kind, warm spirit and welcoming! I will 100% be coming back!“

“I went on 9/4/2026. Overall, it was a very good experience. I had a five piece chicken tender combo. The breaded tenders were very flavorful and I liked the coating. The fries were hot and had good seasoning. The restaurant was clean, and the employees were professional. It is located inside Walmart, but that’s OK. Highly recommend this restaurant if you like chicken tenders or chicken sandwiches.“

“The manager went above and beyond to make sure my catering order was fresh, hot and on time! Chandria showed great customer service! She even stayed longer to make sure the order was handled properly. Thank you Chandria for making my experience a great one!“

“I often bring a patient with dementia to this location with me Despite her condition, she always recognizes Jakobe because he goes above and beyond when taking her orders. Thank you, Jakobe for being such a great person. Keep up the excellent work!“

“Food always hot and fresh“

“The staff was delightful! We were so excited to come in and ate. Great experience 👍“

“Great food, the sauce is delicious and I wish it could be sold in the store.“

“Visited this restaurant a few weeks ago. Truly nostalgic! When i go back home to Birmingham i remember the days of going downtown for a haircut and then going over to this restaurant for a 6 piece wing meal all the way! It comes with fries and white bread smothered in ketchup and hot sauce. The aroma that comes off the bag is both sweet and spicy! The brown bag itself is warm and inviting. Over the decades i have had this same meal numerous times. The flavor is always the same from this location. Each time i go the line is out the door. However the system is in tact. The food comes out timely, hot, and ready to be devoured. This restaurant is one that belongs on the Birmingham bucket list of historic eateries. Visitors have to try it hands down!!!“

“Why on earth does it take 45min to get your food when the place is drive thru only? That is absurd? You can literally get a live chicken, kill it, pluck it, clean it, cut and batter the thing, then cook it and eat it in less time than to go they y’all’s drive thru.... Please find out what’s being done wrong and fix it“

“The food was good, just like I remember when I was a kid. The service was bar, none. The staff worked together. And I like to see a staff that has fun while working. This place was really clean, and even the bathrooms were clean. I would definitely be back. I got the dry rub chicken. The garlic parmesan and the lemon pepper and it mesh well with the original recipe.“

“The Chick-fil-A at this location was amazing!!! Thank you Tucker!!

I have always regarded Chick-fil-A as a company that sets the standard for exceptional customer service, which is why my experience at Chick-fil-A in McCalla was so disappointing.

About a year ago, Sydney, the Marketing Coordinator at the McCalla Chick-fil-A, graciously offered our church, Friendship Baptist Church, 59 cards for free chicken biscuits to use on our church trip to the Ark Encounter in Kentucky. Because we were still in the planning stages, I was told there was no time restriction and that I simply needed to call when our departure date was finalized.

When it came time for our trip, I contacted Sydney, who informed me she was no longer in that role but assured me the offer would still be honored. She referred me to April, the new marketing representative. April was very kind and told me she didn't anticipate any issues but needed to discuss it with the restaurant manager before confirming.

Unfortunately, after waiting several weeks without hearing back, I contacted April again and was told that management had decided they no longer provide those promotional cards. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed. More importantly, our congregation—many of whom are senior citizens—was disappointed because I had already shared the good news that Chick-fil-A would be providing complimentary chicken biscuits for our trip.

Thankfully, this story has a much better ending.

I reached out to the Chick-fil-A at Midtown Plaza in Birmingham and spoke with Tucker, one of the managers. After hearing what had happened, Tucker immediately stepped in to help. Not only did he honor the original commitment by providing the 59 breakfast cards, but he also contacted the Chick-fil-A in Kentucky to ensure they would accept the cards when our group arrived.

Tucker demonstrated the level of customer service that has made Chick-fil-A's reputation so strong. His willingness to help restored our faith in the Chick-fil-A brand.

As a person of faith, this experience reminded me that God always has a ram in the bush. While one location was unable to keep its promise, God provided someone else who could. Thank you, Tucker, for your kindness, integrity, and willingness to serve our church family. You made a lasting impression on all of us.“

“We only ate the chicken tenders, however they were some of the best we have eaten. Another gentleman picked up a fresh-made and baked pizza thst looked great. A lot of people picking up food! Service was great. The four rating was only due to the venue being a gas station (tho the station was clean and tidy, bathrooms in decent shape).“

“This was some of the best KFC I've eaten. Very clean store and great customer service. I will dine in at that location again.“

“We didn't dine in so only can review the service at ordering. Not sure if the young lady that helped us was over worked or not happy to be there. That said the food was like I remember and I got my favorite hot apple pie. Honestly I think this is the best chicken when it comes to just floured and fried chicken.“

“Pete is doing a great job“
