“Ok so y’all already know ima Lemon Drop Connoisseur and I’m constantly looking for the perfect one. I must say while in Alabama i encountered the best lemon drop I’ve ever had at Good Fellas Social Club in Helena, Al. They have darts , friendly locals, an awesome owner and bartender as well. We felt right at home here which is great. 5 stars for me s/o to Big E ?“

“Our new local favorite. We have always talked about visiting it but didn't know if it was one of those places where you'd feel awkward not being a regular. We were dead wrong. Service is fantastic. The food is fantastic. The people we've interacted with are friendly and you can tell why people come back regularly. A nice outdoor seating area. Activities most nights. It does allow smoking indoors, depending on who you ask that's good or bad. Great drink selections of draft, cans/bottles and the bartenders are all extremely capable to mix up any drink or shot you'd like!“

“My group came in last night and we were greeted with a welcome that we will never forget. It was all of our first time here but will definitely not be our last. I speak for all of us when I tell you. It was a vibe. From the drinks, to the DJ, the staff, and those wings. It was amazing. I think I've found my new chill spot. “All I can say is wow. Loved my first trip to this perfect little place in Hoover. The place is located in a beautiful upscale neighborhood. The atmosphere is was nice. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The place was super clean. Plenty of seating inside and sweet little outside patio. They have a nice drink menu with a few of their on creations. The food selection was a nice list as well. Let me say this. The food was amazing. My burger was so well cooked and the flavor was amazing. I definitely plan on going back to try a few more items. The turkey bacon sandwich was so tasty as well. The fries were cooked perfectly.“

“I was on my way to be a guest on the Blerd Survival Guide podcast and I had a little time to kill so I popped up over to The Electric after being told many times to try it. So what are the odds that this place was only 3 minutes from my destination! Anyways I popped in and checked out the inside and it was a very cool, comfortable, and hype like establishment. I put my order in online and didn't go in until it was the said time they gave me on the order. When I went in my food wasn't ready and so I had to wait probably another 30 minutes. Staff was working hard though so I wasn't stressing about it to hard. Staff was nice and offered me water while I waited. I finally get my food head back to the car and proceeded to unbox everything. I gotta admit that visually the food looked very good. First up I had the Classic which is a Flatbread that consists of pepperoni, conecuh sausage, mozzarella, provolone cheese, and basil. This ended up being very good. Nothing crazy to wow about but it definitely got the job done. Flavors were decently balanced I think my only grip with this is the pizza sauce could use a bit more work. I still would other this again anyways so don't let that stop you. 7.5/10 Lastly I got The Ballpark which consisted of country sausage, chili, cheddar cheese, yellow mustard, scallions, and hugged tight in a toasted bun. This was probably my favorite thing. The chili was so hot and tasted as if it was homemade. If it's not homemade I want to known where they buy it because it was pretty darn good. I'd eat it on its own! The sausage was very flavorful as well. The only issue with this was the bun it's definitely well toasted it was way to hard for me and shredded the roof of my mouth I would personally change the bun to something else but that'd just me. Either way this bad boy is a will order again and I give it a 8.5/10. Definitely go try this place when you get the chance it was really good and I hope I can come back soon!“

“We stopped here to eat after a baseball game simply because the menu had something all of us would eat. We really enjoyed the decor of metal lunch boxes, variety of overhead music and wing mural photo op. When our food arrived, I was surprised at how huge my buffalo chicken salad was! Everything was delicious and I had to get a to go box for the remainder of my food. All of the staff were super friendly. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely eat here.“

“The people who work there are really nice. I like that there's basically two environments. One where there's the bar and the loud band and people dressed however they want to be dressed and then the back with the dart board and billiard tables where it's even more relaxed and you can actually hear the other people speaking if you want to have a conversation. But both sides are fun.“

“I have very much enjoyed this newly discovered joint. The chips, salsa, and the QUESO dip, oh my. My wife and I have really enjoyed getting to know this place. My only hesitancy is the sauces could use a little more flavor pop. But maybe I'm just getting old, and my taste is going dull. :)“

“Love this place. The only issue is parking. They are by far the busiest retailer using this lot. New location will help that a lot very soon. Great beer selection on tap as well as in the retail store. Great knowledgeable staff. We will be back many more times.Edit; New location at campus 124 has plenty of parking.“

“My husband Greg and I were visiting family and stopped in for New Year’s Eve and loved it! Reminded us of our dive bar in Jacksonville, Florida. Emma was our bartender and we loved her! We even went back the following day and had Heather as a bartender and she was equally as awesome. It’s our new hangout when we stop in town to visit family.“

“I have been coming here forever, and now I come with my in-laws, who have been coming forever, and it’s always been a nice place to eat. The food is yummy and fast. The atmosphere is very festive! And, barring a few exceptions, staff is always super sweet. I don’t partake, but I’m told the margaritas are wonderful and a great price.Kid-friendliness: They were very accommodating of my toddler being very curious of the decor everywhere and running around to check it out.“

“Grand Cantina hits the marks. It's a nice sized restaurant with more seating than you might expect It offers two dining areas, a full bar and can certainly accommodate large parties. Ambiance is fine. Not a traditional style for a Mexican restaurant but is bright and clean. Service here was friendly and staff were willing to accommodate the requests that we had without any issue. The menu is large with a lot of traditional entrees to choose from. For an appetizer we had queso with beef - really good. Much bigger than expected, I would definitely order this again. The staff brought a big basket of chips which was great as we didn't run out while enjoying our appetizer. Each person at our table was brought their own bowl of salsa and they provided a bowl for each person for the queso. Little differences like this made the dining experience better - I appreciated it. Entrees were very good. Served with rice and beans which were "typical" but the entrees themselves were loaded with meat and had great flavor. Prices here are very reasonable and I thought a great value for the quantity provided. Overall a satisfying dining experience on all fronts and I would not hesitate to recommended to anyone looking for American-Mexican food.“

“This is a hometown dive that if your a person from this area you have definitely heard about or have visited Harry's and Billie's. It's a small get together bar where everyone knows everyone there. Actually there part of this area's tradition in historic places they have been here forever. So if your looking for a spot to visit with friends or family Harry's & Billie's is the place. “A friend brought me here shortly after moving to the area, and I keep coming back because of the unique Disgraceland burger, with peanut butter and jelly, and an egg, and bacon, on a normal burger. An odd combo that I surprisingly like! Some unique Sunday brunch options I'm starting to try out too. My only complaint is the music can be very loud, but then, it is a bar, and there's a reason (music for one) I normally avoid them. The food makes an exception in this case!“

“I moved to Hoover right when the pandemic hit. The pleasure is all wine was their to help me out. I would buy bottles as I sat in my new apartment not being able to go out. I'm from the SW so I would so enjoy drinking a bottle of wine while listening to the rain.“
