The flakiness of the crossaints, the crunch in every bite and to top it off,the burst of creme. With all the fillings, creams or fruit, you can still taste the butter.

Every time we go we've tried something different and nothing is ever short of quality. Very small interior, basically just room for a few people to stand and the counter - but we don't really care about sitting inside, just be aware if that's your plan - there's no seating. Ladies behind the counter are always patient and kind.“

“Everybody at Five Loaves Micro Bakery are wonderful people. Lauren and her team are very friendly and make top notch bread and organic sourdough pastries. She makes other things as well like apple fritters and my favorite oatmeal cream pie. I stopped buying from grocery stores to buy from Five Loaves. I know they do markets in Leeds and Trussville and I believe online orders to be picked up. It is worth the drive to pick up a few things from Five Loaves. Trust me I was not sure at first, but after my first bite I was hooked. They bake everything fresh and it's a lot better for you than normal bread and pastries from the stores or other vendors. “I had the most incredible experience with Savage’s Bakery in Homewood, AL I recently picked up a birthday cake that I had ordered and put it inside my car in the floorboard. My dog got so excited and jumped on top of the cake box and completely demolished it. After taking it back into Savage’s to see if they could repair it, they looked at it and said, give us a few minutes, we’ll take care of it. Within 20 minutes they texted me and said it was as good as new. Not only did they fix my beautiful cake, they wouldn’t let me pay or tip them for everything they did. Such amazing people that work at Savage’s! I will always remember such kindness!!! They are the BEST bakery ever!!!!!!“

“Yesterday was my first time at Olexa’s and the experience was great. Our waitress was very helpful with her recommendations for a first-timer. She recommended the Smoked Turkey Sandwich with a side salad. It was delicious and came out quickly given there was a full house at lunchtime. We also had a slice of the quiche of the day which was delicious also. By the end of my meal, I was very full but of course, there’s always room for dessert. She raved about the cake and yes, I had a slice of the warm buttercream cake. It was so good. I’ve been raving about Olexa’s since yesterday and will return with family and friends.“
