“This place is a hidden gem in Pleasant Grove. 15-20 minutes from Birmingham and with the drive. The owner is so friendly and welcoming. The food is very fresh and delicious, you can tell there's a lot of love put into it. There are American choices for the less adventurous eaters and children's menu, also vegetarian options! My personal favorites are the falafel plate, Greek salad, tahini sauce, hummus and baklava. All homemade! Go try it, you won't be disappointed!“

“Just visited Jack's in pleasant Grove, Al. The young manager was outstanding. I'm 60years old and retired Navy and I've never seen a fast food manager praise their employees on the spot! I didn't get her name, but a short black young lady with a piercing in top lip. She should be in a front office somewhere, her attitude is infectious! I love the positive vibes!“

“Vecchia’s overall is amazing! Delicious food, a variety of beverages, great atmosphere and most of all a superb staff! In addition, they offer throughout the week live music entertainment, 1/2 off wine on Wednesday, kid’s eat free on Tuesdays, Cooking classes, and bouncy house for kiddos on the weekends. “My husband and I ate breakfast here while in Birmingham. The waiter was very hospitable and checked on us. The food was great!! It was busy but we didn't wait a long time for our food. The drive thru was busy so that was an indication the food was goodt!! This was the first time I saw a drive thru breakfast place.“

“We were in Ross Bridge for the farmers market and decided to try Front Porch while we were there.

We were seated immediately and met by our server at our table of choice on the patio.

We chose to start with the bacon bombs and cheese curds. This was an excellent choice!! Bacon wrapped kielbasa in a candied BBQ style sauce! Sign me up for seconds!

The cheese curds were great as well! Deep fried and melted to perfection!! Even better when you dip them in the bacon bomb sauce.

My wife got the chicken finger platter and I grabbed the chicken lettuce wraps.

Chicken fingers were hand breaded and fried crisp. She asked for extra bacon bomb sauce to dip them in. Sweet potato fries were crispy with a honey sauce.

Chicken lettuce wraps had an excellent taste but were a little dry. Made from breast meat, just seemed a little over cooked.

Service was excellent, patio was nice and airy with a view of the street and area. Restaurant was clean and quiet.

Would stop by again when we are in the area!“

“Menu variety, staff service. We stopped by on our way to Tuscaloosa and we’re delighted by the helpfulness of the owner, the food quality, and the wide array of choices. The interior is pleasant and warm, and if we hadn’t been on the road I could see having a lovely book club meeting or a quick lunch for 2 here. Great ambiance, great service. Also such a unique and local food option vs rushing through a fast food drive-thru. We have family in the area and will absolutely be returning!“

“Red Sea is the Ultimate Dining Experience, I have been a Loyal Customer for years. In my humble Opinion, with the Ultimate Gumbo Alone, there is no comparison nowhere in the B’ham/Metro area!!! Sunday I took my Mother and Sisters here for Dinner after Church, and they were very Impressed. The Food was Delicious “As always”and the Service was Impeccable. In the food line there’s something for everyone. This is one of the few places where I could get all vegetables. The neighborhood is a bit rough but don’t let that discourage you from going bc people from all sides of town eat here.“

“First tiñe in Alabama and stayed at the Renaissance Ross Bridge golf and country club. What a Lovely resort with superb golf. We dined at Brock’s restaurant. What a delightful surprise. “I absolutely love having a cafe style grill and juice bar in town. Everything is made to order and fresh!! I’ve had the shrimp and grits, avocado toast, hummus, pizza, and a variety of juices. I have 1-2 meals on the weekends and juices last me throughout the work week. Don’t forget to get some fresh herbs for any health concerns you have!!!! Very kind owners and staff.“

“I love wings plus. Out of all of the Wings joints I've been to Wings Plus in Bluff Park tops them all. I have never had anything less than freshly made delicious food and I don't just order wings. The place is always neat. I know restaurants were hit hard by the pandemic and have a hard time finding people to work. I've never been treated anything less than respectful and kind. The guys in there are great“

“JT’s is fairly basic as far as hotel bars go, though I’d think the renaissance would hold a higher standard. The food was excellent; fresh and delicious, just limited in variety. The drink menu was elevated but felt extremely short for a cocktail lounge. The staff did a great job, but were clearly struggling to keep up with the crowd.

Vegetarian options: Limited standard menu, so veg options are extremely limited.“

“The food is good. Everything else is so-so. You order your food at the counter. It's noisy so it's hard to hear what the person taking your order is saying. Then you go to a different counter to pay. They don't give any instructions to do this. For dine in, you get your food like it is take out. At the different counter where you pay. No servers coming by to offer anything. If you don't know, you don't know. For my first time here, I was surprised that they offered no assistance or recommendations whatsoever. Again for dining in, it's noisy.“
