“This place is a hidden gem in Pleasant Grove. 15-20 minutes from Birmingham and with the drive. The owner is so friendly and welcoming. The food is very fresh and delicious, you can tell there's a lot of love put into it. There are American choices for the less adventurous eaters and children's menu, also vegetarian options! My personal favorites are the falafel plate, Greek salad, tahini sauce, hummus and baklava. All homemade! Go try it, you won't be disappointed!“

“Just visited Jack's in pleasant Grove, Al. The young manager was outstanding. I'm 60years old and retired Navy and I've never seen a fast food manager praise their employees on the spot! I didn't get her name, but a short black young lady with a piercing in top lip. She should be in a front office somewhere, her attitude is infectious! I love the positive vibes!“

As I searched for a distinctive gift for my brother-in-law this Christmas, I reached out to a group for vegan dish suggestions and received a prompt response from Fatimah Shabazz. She prepared six meals to last the week, and my brother-in-law appreciated the gesture. It proved to be an exceptional gift! I appreciate everything, Fatimah. “Red Sea is the Ultimate Dining Experience, I have been a Loyal Customer for years. In my humble Opinion, with the Ultimate Gumbo Alone, there is no comparison nowhere in the B’ham/Metro area!!! Sunday I took my Mother and Sisters here for Dinner after Church, and they were very Impressed. The Food was Delicious “As always”and the Service was Impeccable. Whenever I’m asked of friends and Family Or Co- workers of a Good Place to enjoy a meal RED SEA is the Place I will always Highly Recommend. Chef “B” and Staff are Awesome!!!“

“Menu variety, staff service. We stopped by on our way to Tuscaloosa and we’re delighted by the helpfulness of the owner, the food quality, and the wide array of choices. The interior is pleasant and warm, and if we hadn’t been on the road I could see having a lovely book club meeting or a quick lunch for 2 here. Great ambiance, great service. Also such a unique and local food option vs rushing through a fast food drive-thru. We have family in the area and will absolutely be returning!“

We really enjoyed the decor of metal lunch boxes, variety of overhead music and wing mural photo op. When our food arrived, I was surprised at how huge my buffalo chicken salad was! Everything was delicious and I had to get a to go box for the remainder of my food. All of the staff were super friendly. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely eat here.“

“Great breakfast buffet that was very expensive but convenient if you are staying in the hotel. Everything was fresh and they had someone at a station making omelets and would bring it to your table if you didn’t want to wait for them to prepare it. Overall the breakfast buffet was good.

I immediately felt taken care of as she explained the menu to my grandmother with a friendly and reassuring smile. I ordered "The Hawaiian" which was a sizzling fajita plate with steak and pineapple as well as the usual mix of peppers and onions. It came out hot, seasoned and delicious. The portion was hefty and the three soft tortillas included with the meal were not only wrapped in foil to retain heat, they were soft and fresh. Couldn't recommend this place more!“

“I love wings plus. Out of all of the Wings joints I've been to Wings Plus in Bluff Park tops them all. I have never had anything less than freshly made delicious food and I don't just order wings. The place is always neat. I know restaurants were hit hard by the pandemic and have a hard time finding people to work. I've never been treated anything less than respectful and kind. In the food line there’s something for everyone. This is one of the few places where I could get all vegetables. The neighborhood is a bit rough but don’t let that discourage you from going bc people from all sides of town eat here.“
