“My wife and I have ordered Chinese food from this place and every time it has been really good. Their vegetable LoMein is far better than most places around with plenty of vegetables in it. The House Fried rice is really good as well. We usually get a large wonton soup as well and it is loaded with wontons, unlike some high priced places that only give you 1 wonton per order.The prices are very reasonable. One thing, this is not fast food so do not expect to get your meal in less that 20 to 30 minutes after ordering. We usually order to takeout and eat at home. The people that we met in there while waiting have been sociable and friendly. Also, if you have special needs, ask.“

“Initially when hearing under new management I was worried. However, the wing sauce was incredibly delicious. The Cajun ranch okra was cooked with perfection. “My family dined for lunch today for my Dad's 87th birthday. Our waitress was so sweet and did everything perfectly, including indulging us by taking a family photo. Our table had boudin balls and hushpuppies appetizers. Several of our table had The Shrimp platter and it was a ton of food that they all enjoyed. 3 of us had the Melvin's Chicken plate which is 2 thin chicken breasts and some conecca sausage on top of mashed potatoes with sautéed onions and bacon drizzled in a sweet balsamic glaze. It was wonderful. The birthday boy had fried crab claws and french fries and beignets for dessert. Thank you Cajun Steamer for a great family meal.“

They were short staffed and only had one server, but Abby, the bartender, was quick to offer us service at the bar. We had an amazing experience and the food was delicious.“

“I was scared to stop by this restaurant because of the reviews I have read on here but I walked in spoke to the Asian lady and she spoke back .I came back the next week and the same lady took my order .I speak put in my order and wait while it's cooked fresh .The two young African American ladies I encounter has been nice and polite . I'm not sure if they read your reviews and changed but I haven't had not one problem and the food has bern hot and Delicious. I Pray it stays this way“

“The food was perfect, i got a blue crab and smow crab boil. It had all the usual potatoes, corn, sausage. The sausage was so delicious, i wanted a few more. I couldn't hear what the server was asking because he was so soft spoken and the music in there is at like a volume 9/10. It was so loud it was rediculas, I had to yell across the table to my husband for him to hear me. He has sensitive ears so he very unhappy the entire time. But the food was very good. I'll just take it togo next time.“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Captain D’s, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, I was met with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home.

The highlight of my visit was the incredible lady behind the counter. She was so kind and helpful, going above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. She patiently explained the menu, offered great recommendations, and even checked in to see if everything was to my liking. Her friendliness and genuine care made a huge impression on me—it’s rare to find customer service this good!

As for the food, it was absolutely fantastic, as always. The golden, crispy fish was cooked to perfection, the hush puppies were fluffy and flavorful, and the coleslaw was the perfect balance of tangy and sweet. Every bite was fresh, hot, and delicious. Captain D’s consistently delivers quality meals, and it’s clear they take pride in every dish.

I highly recommend Captain D’s to anyone who hasn’t tried it yet. Whether you’re a fan of seafood or just looking for a great meal served by wonderful people, this is the place to go. I can’t wait to return for another great dining experience.

“This a nice looking little gem. It's a fresh seafood market and also seafood takeout spot. They cook your food fresh and the prices are sweet. You can order from their menu or have them cook the fresh seafood that is weighed by the lb and cooked on the spot. Try go at least once on Saturday one or two times a month.“
