My biggest problem with most local cafes is that the coffee is weak and just doesn't taste great. This is NOT an issue at Coastal Cowgirl. As someone who's an avid starbucks and 7brew lover, Coastal's coffee genuinely holds a match to both. The sweet cream cold foam is absolutely delicious. It is such a welcoming and relaxing place to hang out for a bit and take a break from the stress of today's world. Not to mention the pet friendly patio and pup cups- YES please! Easily my new favorite eatery! 🩷”

Food is very good-- pizza, sandwiches, nachos. Sometimes they have live music, bands. There is outdoor seating, as well as a number of tables inside. Best of all is the cool owner Bo Hicks, who brings community spirit into the place. Highly recommend!”

I sat at the bar and the service was a standout. The staff was friendly, attentive, and quick to refill drinks, which made the experience comfortable and welcoming. The fries were fresh, hot, and crispy — easily one of the highlights.
The burger was decent but didn’t quite hit the mark for me. It wasn’t a full smashburger, more somewhere in between, and leaned a bit overcooked. The bacon was also on the overdone side, which took away from the overall richness and juiciness I was hoping for.
That said, the atmosphere and service make this a solid spot, and I’d return — especially for drinks and fries. With a little more consistency on the burgers, this could easily be a five-star experience.”

“As I was looking for an authentic Mexican place, I came upon Loco Lupes. I wanted queso and on the DoorDash website, this was the only place other than Socal, Chiptotle, and Central Mesa. Although those places are great, I do not like their queso very much. I have never heard of Loco Lupes but decided to give it a go. Thank goodness I did because that was one of the best quesos that I have ever had. I also got a cheese quesadilla and salsa. Both were great and I will for sure order this again. 10/10!”

“Pros - I ordered the chicken kabobs, which were delicious. They came with a salad and a side of rice (which I swapped out for potato salad).
Con’s - The dressing came on the side in a small dressing container. I used to dip everything in the dressing but it’s not available on the tables, like it used to be. I would’ve asked for more but didn’t realize it until they brought my plate.”

“I want to start this review by saying that my first visit to Ben’s Bread was a great experience. I had the opportunity to purchase a loaf, and it was excellent — so good that I wish I could go back and buy it again.

Unfortunately, their current purchasing system makes that nearly impossible. Customers have to go on the website every morning at 8:00 AM to reserve available items, but within about 10 seconds of the site opening, everything is already sold out. This system simply doesn’t work for people who genuinely want to purchase their products but never get the chance.

I’m sure that if I had the opportunity to try the bread again, I would love it just as much — but with the system set up this way, it doesn’t feel possible.

Edit: After reading a comment from Ben’s Bread on my post, I better understood how their preorder system works and how to actually place an order. This Tuesday, I ordered everything I’d been hoping to try, and I was extremely satisfied with every item.

Now that I understand the process, the ordering website makes a lot more sense, too. I’m not sure whether the site was updated after my review, but after taking another look, it’s much clearer to me.
