“Was working in Tuscaloosa and a restaurant with a two hour wait recommended the River. We had the steak filet and the seared tuna. Both dishes were absolutely amazing. The service was outstanding and the whole experience was just classy and comfortable. Brussel sprouts were on special for an appetizer, they were the best we’ve ever had. “We just tried Forte for the first time last night and it was excellent. I was surprised to see its rating and we decided (for science) we needed to see for ourselves first hand.

I am happy to report that the experience was great! I had the bolognese and my wife had the steak frites, both dishes were delicious. Bolognese is a great dish to test a kitchen’s competency with and it did not disappoint. We also had the focaccia and marinated olive appetizers and they were great.

My only nitpick was over my old fashion, which was a little lifeless.

We finished the night with Sticky Toffee Pudding which again was delicious.

My biggest problem with most local cafes is that the coffee is weak and just doesn't taste great. This is NOT an issue at Coastal Cowgirl. As someone who's an avid starbucks and 7brew lover, Coastal's coffee genuinely holds a match to both. The sweet cream cold foam is absolutely delicious. It is such a welcoming and relaxing place to hang out for a bit and take a break from the stress of today's world. Not to mention the pet friendly patio and pup cups- YES please! Easily my new favorite eatery! 🩷”

Food is very good-- pizza, sandwiches, nachos. Sometimes they have live music, bands. There is outdoor seating, as well as a number of tables inside. Best of all is the cool owner Bo Hicks, who brings community spirit into the place. Highly recommend!”

“As I was looking for an authentic Mexican place, I came upon Loco Lupes. I wanted queso and on the DoorDash website, this was the only place other than Socal, Chiptotle, and Central Mesa. Although those places are great, I do not like their queso very much. I have never heard of Loco Lupes but decided to give it a go. Thank goodness I did because that was one of the best quesos that I have ever had. I also got a cheese quesadilla and salsa. Both were great and I will for sure order this again. 10/10!”

“I've been getting breads, croissants, pain au chocolat, and a bunch of other goodies from Ben's for the past year or so. It is without a doubt one of the most high quality bakeries in Tuscaloosa. Recently, I decided to get their coffee and stay in for a couple hours doing light work, and I really enjoyed the experience - they added some nice new tables, there's several rooms where you can sit, I prefer the front one with the windows as it gets a lot of light. Their coffee was quite good, and their pastries are always awesome. Highly recommend you try them out, especially if other coffee shops like Monarch, Turbo, or Strange Coffee are a bit too noisy for you to focus.”

I opted for the Alambre Fajitas, which were incredibly delicious. The portion size was generous, so I had to order a box to take home. Their queso and salsa were also fantastic. To top it off, we had fried ice cream for dessert, which was the best I’ve ever had in Tuscaloosa. I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for great Mexican food. I know my family will be eating there again.”

Previously the cookies were sloppy and looked nothing like they should, service was poor…but in the last few months, the service is much improved, the product quality is what I expect from Crumbl, and many of the desserts have just been 10/10. Keep it up and we will keep coming back.”
