“Was working in Tuscaloosa and a restaurant with a two hour wait recommended the River. We had the steak filet and the seared tuna. Both dishes were absolutely amazing. The service was outstanding and the whole experience was just classy and comfortable. Brussel sprouts were on special for an appetizer, they were the best we’ve ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“Been there several times. They sell a variety of drinks and smoothies. And so many varieties of chicken salad. I got the one with egg and pickle. So good. Seasoned to perfection. Always chilled and lots of crackers. Always professional and kind. Service is fast.“
“Ate there on 1/12/25 for breakfast and it was delicious. Waitress was great, could tell she really cared and liked her job. My breakfast was perfect, but my wives French toast was amazing and came out looking like a presentation on a high end cooking show.“

“Urban Cookhouse has a simple easy to order menu. It was packed last time I had lunch. Turnover is pretty fast so finding a seat is not difficult. Outdoor patio will be more conducive as fall comes and the heat reduces. Great staff - very helpful. Healthy menu!
Parking: There are spaces all around the building so don't worry if you cannot find a parking space right in front of the doors. You may have to walk 40 yards at the most.
Kid-friendliness: Menu kids will eat from with healthy choices.
Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible by wheelchair. The staff will help you out of they see you are having trouble“

“The food was modestly priced, which I appreciated, but the skin on the plantation sausage was really hard. Also, the place had a faint smell of mildew.
The waiter was great and super friendly. We were thankful that there was a place open so early! I teach school, so it's hard for me and my fiance to find somewhere to sit down and eat in the morning before work. I will be going back.“

“We visit at least once or twice a month usually on a Wednesday the food and drinks are always delicious 😋 And never had a problem with the service and we’ve been visiting since they were on the corner downtown, but this past Wednesday November 18, 2020 our server was horrible she had the nastiest attitude and demeanor. First thought was because we African American but we soon realized that wasn’t it she treated two other tables with the same curtness and attitude. Hopefully next visit will be better“

“Been purchasing from this location for three years. Ashley (believe in management) makes each experience fantastic. She greets me by first name and remembers what I order and ask if I would try another item. When she is working with her coworkers they all share the same positive and helpful attitude. Food is always to perfection and restaurant is always clean and spotless. Wish more restaurants would have an Ashley to make fast food restaurant into a family diner. Thank you Jack’s.“

“I love having Dockside open up Hwy 43 to give us another option for dinner close to home! If you haven’t tried the fried shrimp or the catfish, you’re definitely missing out! There’s just something extra about the breading that had me eating ALL my shrimp and not sharing with my husband! 🤣 Highly recommend checking it out!“
