“Very consistent amazing food. I always get the filet with fries and never regret it. The banana bread old fashion is a must. I’ve never had carrot cake anywhere as good as Bricktop’s. The key lime pie is also top notch. The management team has this place dialed in.“

“Punchlove is one of my most favorite Birmingham coffee shops! They have incredible coffee, pastries, and non-coffee drinks! I especially love the sarcastic, seasonal menu. They have a lot of unique flavors and menu items–– I'm a big fan of the Punchies–– as well as a plethora of dairy-free drink options.

Great atmosphere with beautiful plants, and the owner is super knowledgeable about coffee. However, I wouldn't recommend this spot if you're planning to do work or focus. They don't offer wi-fi and have a no laptop policy on the weekends.

“We have always enjoyed Baha Burger. Due to medical issues, it’s been some time since we last ate there. The owner was always so courteous to us and eager for us try new things. He introduced me to the delicious remoulade that is a must for all things I order. However, our most recent experience made us feel differently. I know people have off days. We are all entitled to them….BUT…while we were eating, we overheard the owner yelling at the cook (he was standing directly behind us) about how many tater tots he put on my sons plate. He said it was too much for a child portion and went on and on about it. There were nine tater tots on his plate and he ate them all. My son overheard him yelling at the cook and asked me if he should give some of them back. That hurt my heart that my five year old felt guilty eating a meal that was set in front of him. I’m sure we will still give them our business because the food is amazing. I just hope the owner understands that sometimes things should be handled differently. Nine tater tots was not a true reason to have gotten so upset. Now if it had been ten….😜“

I’ve been to NOLA countless times over the years and I’m here to say, every morsel of food we ate at this place was hands down better than anything I’ve ever had in NOLA. I love spicy food and everything was seasoned to perfection. I honestly can’t say enough great things about this hidden gem. Super friendly staff, excellent food and great atmosphere. The wait time for the food wasn't long at all; they got our food out within minutes.“

“Get the donuts, skip the rest. I used to be a huge fan of this place, but after their expansions, it’s clear the quality has taken a nosedive. The Hero Burger, once amazing, is now a sad shadow of its former self. The patty is dry and lacking in flavor, with barely any cheese, and hardly any cracked sauce. We used to love coming here and supporting a great local biz, but now it feels like they’ve sacrificed quality for quantity. Come for the donuts, they’re still good, the buns and lunch menu are just not what they once were :(“
