“We have been coming here for over 20 years specifically for the molcajete. It is always made to order and always has the same delicious flavor . You will not find this same flavor molcajete anywhere else. They offer a variety of mariscos but compared to other marisco restaurants they have a smaller menu. Definitely worth the drive for this amazing dish.“

“A Sizzling Anniversary Celebration at Bacanora!
We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary at Bacanora in Phoenix, and what an unforgettable experience it was! The moment we walked in, the lively vibe and cumbia music set the tone for an amazing night. Our server was outstanding, taking the time to explain the menu and making excellent recommendations. The kitchen staff's friendly demeanor added to the warm atmosphere, and it was impressive to see them expertly cooking on an open fire grill.
The food was truly exceptional. We started with the Embered Elote and bone marrow, and it was love at first bite. The smokiness and lime combined to create a masterclass in umami flavors. In fact, it was so good that I wasn't even done and ordered another one to go! The cucumber salad was a refreshing contrast, with the perfect kick from the salsa matcha.
The Pollo Asado was a showstopper – a monster dish that had everything we needed to enjoy. The half chicken was cooked to perfection, juicy and full of flavor. The quesadillas, papas, rajas, tortillas, and frijoles all complemented the dish perfectly.
Hands down, this was a 10 out of 10 meal. We're already counting down the days until we can come back and experience the magic of Bacanora again. If you're looking for an authentic, delicious Mexican meal in a lively atmosphere, look no further. Bacanora is a must-visit!“

“Girl and I got bites ramen and the birria tacos. The tacos were top notch! Borderline addictive. Birria ramen was good, but have had better. Awesome service. Super friendly guy. Hooked it up with free sodas, too. Little on the spendy side for a truck. Will go back for the birria tacos. 🤤“

“YUM! I ordered the street tacos and they were very good. Pastor and chicken. Nice flavor and tasted fresh. If you like spice, their red salsa is bomb.
The only reason for a 4 star and not 5 is that I feel like the street tacos are a little pricey even on taco Tuesday . I believe they are 2.20 on Tuesday and 2.89 regular price. They will fit in the palm of your hand.
Still, they were very good. I just wish they were regular size for that price.“

“Went here for the first time today. As soon as I entered I could tell the food was going to be amazing. The decor is welcoming. The gentleman that took my order was nice and helpful with my first order. Ordered the tinga enchilada plate and the flavors were amazing. The amount of food was fantastic. The smoky salsa on the side was one of the best I have ever had. It only took one trip to make me a new regular customer.“

“This IS the Phoenix Mexican restaurant experience you are looking for. Easy to find, big parking lot, outdoor seating, they speak English, the food is fast and reasonably priced.\n\nI was there at 7:30 AM and even though there was a line I got my food quickly, saw 100 of tacos out the door for catering \n\nThe prices are a smidgen higher than what you’re showing on the website, because like every place else, inflation has outpaced printing.\n\nI had the chillaquillas and they had just the right amount of heat .“

“We were in town and going to Phoenix zoo, so we searched Mexican restaurant for breakfast and found this spot. It was their second day of having breakfast, and if it was this good on day two, then I can only imagine how good it’ll be when the dial it all it!

I’m gluten free, dairy free and nut free. They have told me they don’t use gluten in their rice or meats. Besides tortilla. And I don’t seem to have any of my reactions:)
They are local and family business. They work hard and deserve every bit of your business. And I always get their beef tacos it’s SOOOOOOO good. And with the red salsa 10/10“

“I typically don’t go to Mexican restaurants, as I really don’t like them. My friend drug me there and I went back again the next day. The shrimp tacos are to die for. I could eat them everyday. Even the chips and salsa was the best of any restaurant I’ve been to. I wish they had one here in Illinois! If I go back to Scottsdale, I’m going straight there to eat! Also the bartender/waiter was the friendliest, most efficient, knowledgeable guy! He was amazing!“

“I had trouble deciding what to eat for lunch while attending a conference at the Double Tree Tempe. I drove by The Taco spot and decided to stop and give them a try. I food is absolutely cooked to order and is delicious. The service person Miguel and all four cooks are amazing. I can’t get over how much I enjoyed the food in such an unassuming place. I’ll definitely recommend for good Mexican food.

“I started eating lunches at Don Jose in 1966 while I was pregnant with my daughter. I ate there often because I worked nearby. As the years went by we ate there so many times the “original” staff knew us by name. When they closed down we were saddened, but were so happy when they sold the business (and recipes) and reopened. My daughter and family and almost every close friend I have continue to enjoy the great food, the family atmosphere, friendly staff and owners. I highly recommend Don Jose’. Best find of 1966 through today!!“

“Quality food and above average flavors. The salsa was spicy and delicious. The green chile was tender. The red sauce was okay, definitely preferred the green. The rice and beans were both seasoned well. The asada had a nice grill flavor and some char which was a pleasant surprise. The service was great and the atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming.“

“We used Taqueria Obson to cater our bicycling event. The food was fabulous and we received so many compliments on it! All the ingredients were fresh and they were pleasant people to work with. I will definitely use them again! I can't find the rating stars, but would gladly give them 5! The food was delicious and reasonably priced.“
