“I really enjoy salad and go. I wore myself out on the roasted autumn salad and it only forced me to try the other options and I'm glad I did. The Greek salad is my second go to due to the taste and fun it adds to my mouth. The Thai salad was a little spicy but worth my bucks. Basil salad was okay. A little less basil for me. I'm so looking forward to my next salad and I think it will be the roasted autumn. Yes, it's my favorite. Oh! I always add a traditional lemonade and enjoy it all at the closest park. Natural food in a natural setting. Perfect combination for a tree hugger.“

“I’m so glad I finally got to try this place! The drinks are delicious, and the food is so, so good. We got the elote and fried guacamole to start; I love elote so much and will always order it when there’s a vegan version available. It was great! I wish we got more, honestly. We also got the cauliflower tacos and potato tacos. Between the two, the cauliflower tacos had the better fillings, but the potato tacos had the better crunch/texture. Both were delicious! The cocktails were perfectly mixed and were not too sweet or too strong. I’m so glad I finally got to try this place and I can’t wait to come back next time I’m in town.“

My only disappointment is that while I appreciate that they are serving pan-African food, there is a lack of authenticity in some dishes. The flatbread is pita bread but called chapati, two very different types of flat bread. Dairy, dips, and cheeses don’t play much of a role in traditional East, West or South African cuisine and I was hoping for more regional African influence when I took my work team there on a recent visit to Phoenix. The food and experience were enjoyable and I would go back, but reset my expectations to include the more broad interpretation of the restaurant concept.“

We were met with smiling faces and a cozy, warmly lit dining room filled with carved wood decor. We grabbed a family sampler platter, plus their in-house roasted coffee proved to be a perfect end to our weekend outing. We'll, SO glad we drive in to try it! Holy smokes did we gave a great lunch today! I had the brunch huevos & the hubs had the Cuban. Great portions (I couldn't finish my huevos) and both of us were saying we want to come back & try other items. The service was fine - I definitely felt like if you were from the neighborhood you were recognized & chatted up, but by no means was our server not perfectly fine... appropriately friendly & attentive, drinks & refills arrived promptly, she checked on us mid-meal, the bill came promptly. Zero complaints on service but hands in the air on that food! We'll definitely return to try out more of the menu!“

“Luana’s is by far one of the coolest coffee shops I’ve ever been to! From the first day I stepped foot into this place, I felt like I was walking into a home away from home. They have the coziest furniture that makes you want to stay for hours. The barista’s have always been so welcoming which has played a big part in making every experience at Luana’s a 10/10. Not to mention their breakfast pizza is a 100/10. They have such unique specialty coffees and their matcha is one of the best I’ve had yet. Anyone would regret not stepping foot at least once in such a lovely place!“

We found it....Cocina Madrigal was exactly what we were looking for...We actually sat at the bar since there was a short wait for a table. I was here with a college friend who lived out of the state also. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. We had the combination Taco/Burros/Tamales/Enchiladas...Our gracious bartend/waitress suggested the perfect way they should be prepared. “I had the chicken and rice (white meat) and it was absolutely delicious! The chicken was cooked perfectly — super moist and juicy — and the sauce that came with it was excellent; I had the sweet black and the Thai sauce. The rice had really unique spices and flavors that made the whole dish stand out. The soup on the side was light and very refreshing. Service was also fantastic — the lady at the counter was so friendly and efficient, and I got my food very quickly. I would definitely love to come back and try all the different sauces. Highly recommend!
