“Not a lot to say. We stopped in for a beer while trafilfic was easing up. The place was nothing special. The beer, Spellbinder, was pretty good. The thing that put it over the top for a 5-star were the great people we met. My wifenand I sat next to a newly engaged couple and a couple 35 years married. We had a great conversation about beer, secrets to a great marriage, dogs, and children - quite eclectic!Anyways, we had a wonderful time making new acquaintances. We wish we would have got contact info ro stay in touch, but it was not to be.The brewery seemed like a local hangout as it was packed at 2pm on a Friday. We would love to come back and continue the conversation.Recommend!“

Front Pourch Brewing Brewery • $

“Breweries in an industrial park typically bring something special. FP did not disappoint..The name is a nice little play. The logo could use some of the same mojo, imo.The space is great. Open, good ceiling height, lots of area up front. A smaller, more intimate room in the back if you want to duck back there.Staff was amazing..Courteous, attentive, and full of recommendations. Per my usual, several small pours to get a feel for their styles. Blonde. IPA. Pumpkin. Give me an average 4.0 on Untapped. Was not disappointed.“

Roses by the Stairs Brewing Brewery • $$

“Inaugural visit Saturday. After stopping at a brewery that was celebrating it's anniversary THIS was just the brewery I was looking for! Quiet, kids not running around, not nutty busy....just a quiet brewery w friendly beetender Tony! We almost didn't make it in as there isn't a lot of parking and all the spots were taken,... lucky for us a jeep left just as we were giving our second drive around. I was so excited to see ALL standard height tables!! Even the bar was regular barstools, not high top. There was even a couch lounge area and another couch nearby. So far this has clinched me!! The north was is mostly windows, glass doors or garage doors so lots of light and lets you see what's going on out on McDowell! Tony was kind and very helpful in building my flight and helping my mom pick a pint. The brew house is right there too! Comfortable chairs around the different tables. I like the tap list, it's not a standard list, it's 8.5x11 colored print outs. Tony was also very helpful in describing which order to drink my beers in and why. Upon tabbing out Tony slid me a sticker....much to my delight!! I collect these!! Thanks Tony and Roses By The Stairs for meeting my brewery needs on a Saturday afternoon.....cheers!“

“We held our rehearsal dinner in the private event room and then opened the event up for all guests to come have a drink later in the evening. The food was great and the service was amazing. I'm sure it was overwhelming for our server having so many people there, especially since we were mostly mingling instead of sitting, but she never let it show and absolutely crushed it. We got so many compliments on the service and how fun the event was. If you ever want a casual, fun private event I definitely recommend Fate!“

“Seems like a secret hideout, every time I come its quiet. I hope they’re doing well though because everything is amazing. I’ve only ever had the pretzels and they are always so good. The beer is top notch. It seems all the other menu items are made with passion, maybe one day I’ll try something else. My one complaint is the hours. They are closed Monday-Wednesday and they close pretty early.“

“This place is great. The beer is delicious. They make some speciality stuff here that I have not seen anywhere else. The al pastor pizza was great, but the wings they make there are out of this world. I live pretty far away, but I would go back for these wings. Huss Brewing Uptown Phoenix Taproom + Kitchen Brewery • $$
100 E Camelback Rd #160, Phoenix

“The taproom is set back in the corner of the complex where it is quiet and peaceful. They extend the small restaurant out onto the patio via roll up doors. We went while the weather was mild and it was just a really good experience.I had the Sonora dog. I’ve never had one before. It’s very messy and riot of flavors, but the entire thing was room temperature. Not sure that is typical. I enjoyed it anyway. We also shared the pulled pork flat bread. There were two of them and in total it was about a small pizza worth. We devoured it. Very good. Nice smoked pork with just a hint of BBQ sauce. The beer was of course very good because it is Huss. But if anyone in the party is a wine drinker then be aware that they only serve canned wine. My wife said it was very bottom shelf. They have house made hard seltzers that we almost tried, but put that off to next visit.Would return again and maybe bring the doggo. The patio is dog friendly.“

I tried every single beer and the PV Dankeness was the best. The 3 sours on tap are delightful and my fave was the seltzer (honestly It made me feel really pretty drinking it... ladies and dudes, when you taste it, you'll know). Cheers!“

Huss Brewing Downtown PHX Brewpub + TOGO Brewery • $
225 E Monroe St, Phoenix

“The manager and staff of Husswere wonderful. Everyone had big smiles and was very friendly. The servers were helpful resources when it came to learning about the company and really seemed to take pride in it.Huss was started by husband wife team Jeff and Leah over 10 years ago and has grown to one of the biggest breweries in Arizona. She also owned and operated Papago for many years prior, and they are currently rebranding more with the Papago name.I enjoyed all of the food tastings brought out.- chips and onion dip - could have eaten it all night- jalapeno poppers - a little spice but still yummy- black bean nachos - good lite non-meat option- midwestern fish and sidewinder chips - were better. than expected! The contrast with the tender walleye against the crisp cornmeal coating was nice, and thetartar sauce was a great addition with unique flavor- sausage and pretzel board - was my favorite. Rich flavors and great for sharingI would never call myself a beer drinker as I prefer ciders and sours, but I really enjoyed the tasting flight. I believe it was a good representation of the offerings, and each was unique. We tried: the Scottsdale Blonde, Papago Orange Blossom, Hopaloosa IPA, Rio Salado Mexican Lager, and Koffee Kolsch. I was surprised by actually enjoying the hopaloosa ipa, but the Scottsdale blonde was my favorite. It's so light and refreshing“

North Mountain Brewing Company Brewery • $$
522 E Dunlap Ave, Phoenix

“My wife and I came to this local brewery for lunch and some drinks. We have been here before but over 6-7 years ago on a brewery tour and forgot all about it. Huge beer and seltzer selection with several taps! There is a small liquor selection if you choose so. The food is phenomenal and freshly cooked. We had a few appetizers and main courses which were prepared and presented like a 5 star restaurant. There is plenty of seating for small or large groups, garage doors open up for outdoor seating to watch the cars go by, multiple TVs showing sports and shows and there is also windows behind the kitchen that show the fermentation vessels. The staff was very friendly, attentive and accommodating. This place also has a game room full of 10 pinball machines new and old style, a stand alone arcade machine with multiple games, board games and a foosball table. The pinball machines accept quarters or dollars which you can get change up at the bar. I didn’t get many photos as we were to busy enjoying our meals and drinks. Stop by if you are in the area for great food and tasty brews. We ended up spending half the day there! ??“

PHX Beer Co. Brewery • $$

“In early 2023, I had the pleasure of visiting this establishment, and I must say that both the staff and the owner were exceptionally welcoming. As a former board member of the Club, I was invited to attend their party, and the owner generously took the time to walk ASU students through the entire brewing process, sharing a wealth of knowledge and addressing numerous inquiries. The food and beverages served here were not only delectable but also suitable for someone like me, who isn't an avid beer enthusiast. I found their products to be remarkably enjoyable. In particular, I would highly recommend the White Mocha flavor, which was simply delightful. It had a rich foam, a smooth texture, and lacked any bitter aftertaste. The establishment itself is well-lit, spacious, and the table heights are thoughtfully designed for a comfortable experience.“
