We ordered the Ahi ceviche, clam chowder with the tomato broth ( I can't recall the name), roasted branzino with sautéed spinach and risotto. We also ordered warm sourdough bread with butter. We would recommend this place for a business casual, nice ambiance restaurant if you are craving seafood. The only thing I regret is not ordering the gluten free flourless chocolate cake!!”

“This was our first visit to the Capital Grill in Scottsdale. It was an experience to remember.

We had just purchased a new home in Arizona and stopped in to celebrate with drinks and a late lunch. Just walking in was impressive. The restaurant is beautiful ! The hostess immediately greeted us. She was very friendly, professional, and accommodating. We did not have reservations. Still, we experienced only a very short wait for our table.

Upon being seated, there was glitter on our table and beautiful card congratulating us on the purchase of the new home and a welcome to Arizona. (The hostess asked us earlier if there a special reason for stopping in)

Our wait staff was amazing, especially MARNIE ! Just the perfect blend of friendliness, knowledge, and superior service. Our food (Mini Tenderloin Sandwiches with Mushrooms) and drinks were to die for. Everything served to perfection.

We were served with a complimentary desert that was also to die for.

One of our favorite dining experiences ! We will be going back often. We highly recommend the Capital Grille. It is heaven !”

Found out during the end of our meal that she had only been working there for two days. She was as knowledgeable and professional as she could be. She checked back numerous times to see if we needed anything. The brunch burger was amazing. So many flavors inside one bun! The Bloody Mary’s were spot on! We dont live here but if we did this would be a regular spot for brunch, business dinners or just a great date night! That's saying a lot for a guy living and being from Chicago. The ambience was top notched and the customer service was great! I can't wait until I'm back in AZ, I will definitely return here. A great place to dine on those special occasions. The steaks are awesome and the sides are great. I got the crème fresh potatoes, which I think is made with 2 parts butter and 1 part potato - amazing! The mushrooms are great as well. Each side is enough for 2-3 people. The Thai shrimp appetizer was well seasoned with just the right amount of kick.
But everything is not perfect. The price is high at about $180 per person including a cocktail, entree, desert + tip and taxes. Also, I was a little (ok a lot) disappointed with the dessert. The only dessert I like to order at restaurants is bread putting, if available. So I have had a lot of different types of bread pudding and know what a good one should taste like. This was NOT it - too dry and a bit crusty for my likes.”

“Had a truly excellent meal at Liz Modern Asian when I was traveling to Scottsdale. We were shopping at the new Lego store across the street and jumped in about an hour before they closed. Not being a huge fan of chain restaurants, we were delighted to find that this was a family-owned establishment.

The food was excellent and Liz herself came out to chat with us to make sure that everything lived up to our expectations. They even brought out a big bowl of fresh, homemade dumplings for our table to share. They were delicious. After chatting for a short while, we made our way out and, as we were leaving, Liz asked us if we wanted to wait a few moments she'd send us home with some fresh beef dumplings (the ones we had were pork)! Unfortunately, we were flying out the next day and couldn't take them.

I would absolutely go visit with Liz and her family again the next time I'm in Scottsdale and I'd recommend you do the same if you're in the area. And def try the dumplings--they were epic.”

“Phenomenal food! Chili oil wontons are to die for. The noodle is absolutely perfect. Really enjoyed the beef broccoli and pork buns as well. Excellent family service, be patient they’re just starting out but the quality is outstanding and worth the wait.”

“Lovely tasting room in the heart of Scottsdale. The look inside is understated, modern, and just a little moody. It really lets you focus on the wine as a centerpiece of your experience. They had good reds and whites. As my bachelorette party had around 10 people, it was nice that they were able to accommodate us. The individuals who work there really have the perfect balance of ensuring we had water and wine but also allowed us space to enjoy our time together!”
