The cocktails arrived promptly and were well-crafted, setting the tone for an enjoyable meal. The wine list deserves a special nod: it offers a thoughtful selection of Italian wines that are both excellent and reasonably priced — a rarity that regulars will appreciate. Ambiance can vary depending on the night. At times, the tables feel a bit tightly packed, and the noise level can climb higher than comfortable. This visit, however, was more balanced — the addition of live music created a warm, convivial atmosphere, and conversation flowed easily. Service, unfortunately, remains the restaurant’s weakest link. Our server spoke so quickly that explanations about the menu were rushed and unclear, and attention throughout the meal was uneven. While this lack of polish doesn’t overshadow the exceptional kitchen, it does detract from what could otherwise be a near-perfect dining experience. In short, come for the food — it’s worth it. The culinary team continues to deliver excellence on the plate, making this a restaurant that earns repeat visits. “My daughter brought the grandkids over and we went to the park. Afterwards we all went to McDonald's to get lunch and let the kids explore the playground. Alas, the playground was closed for some maintenance. We ate, and as always the service and food were great. There is quite a variety of food choices at price points to fit anyone's budget. “The sourdough and whipped ricotta w/ honey was amazing!! The Branzino was very good and the pistachio cheesecake is hard to beat. We had two great bottles of wine that were half of on Thursdays.
Everyone was very nice but they definitely seemed understaffed. We waited about 5 minutes at the front before someone finally checked us in, they person who seemed to be filling the waters kept passing our table and we had to flag down the hostess to get more water. Also, personally, I am not a fan of restaurants that allow non-service dogs to be in the main indoor dining areas.
Overall, this place had great food and a wonderful atmosphere. Just seems to need more staff during restaurant week.”

“I’m not one to post about my restaurant experiences (this is my first review), but I have to tell you about Liz Modern Asian. The owners are charming and welcoming, setting me up for a wonderful meal and experience that didn’t expect.

The food was deliciously made to order, and the quality of the ingredients and the value was unbelievable! My favourites were the Chinese Chicken Salad with Walnut Shrimp, and the Shrimp Special Noodle with garlic! The noodles, especially, while so simple, reminded me of the noodles my mom used to make when I was growing up. They had me at noodles.

Other reviewers are right - this is a place worth visiting, and the owners know how to treat their customers making them feel like their invited guests. I’m not from the Phoenix area, but I will be back in the short time I’m here, as they went far above what I’ve ever experienced in a first visit to a restaurant!

Found out during the end of our meal that she had only been working there for two days. She was as knowledgeable and professional as she could be. She checked back numerous times to see if we needed anything. The brunch burger was amazing. So many flavors inside one bun! The Bloody Mary’s were spot on! We dont live here but if we did this would be a regular spot for brunch, business dinners or just a great date night! “Came here for dinner last night for the first time. I was very impressed. The drinks were nice and the food was amazing. The staff was super friendly and didn’t make us feel rushed like a lot of other places. We ordered dessert at 9:55 not realizing that they closed at 10 and nobody from the staff made us feel rude or pushed out the door. The steak and lobster were both great on top of having probably the best creamed spinach I have ever had. All around great dinner.”

“This cafe is a great local spot to visit if you are ever in Arizona. The aesthetic of the place feels very comfy and gives local vibes. The friendly staff is a plus as the service was wonderful. This place is great to meet up with friends, relax, or even have a quick business meeting. The coffee is high quality and tastes amazing. The coffee taste is slightly different and tastes a bit sweeter than other comparable coffee places. They even have different types of designs that go on top of the coffee. This place also provides healthy organic options for drinks as well which is great for health conscious individuals. Besides the drinks, you have the choice to get some local bakery items along with your coffee as well. I personally did not try the baked goods but heard they were great from other people. I would say the average amount spent here is between $5-15 per person depending on if you get a snack. The cafe is in a small town so you could also grab a coffee and a snack then go shop or check out other local stores. The entrance was a little confusing because it was in the back of the store. Bright Side Cafe is inside of The Mercantile which is a little boutique shop. The only entrance was towards the back if you wanted to be right where the coffee shop was. If not, you would have to walk through the entire store to get to the cafe without any signs showing you where to go. On their Google listing, they should have the parking situation and directions on how to directly get to the cafe. This would make it a lot easier for people to find if they just park in the right spot instead of walking through the whole store.”

“My mom made reservations for us at noon, and when it reached 12:15, we still had not had a server acknowledge us or take our drink orders so we waved the first one we saw over. She apologized profusely and took our drink orders even though she was not our waitress. She said she would find out what the issue was immediately. When she returned with our drinks, she apologized again and said there was a miscommunication and our server would be over momentarily. When our actual waiter came over, he also apologized multiple times and was very pleasant. He took our order and was very polite and conversational. When he served us our food, he also brought an additional appetizer (one that I had already eyeballed on the menu but decided against… the melon salad) as an apology for our wait. We had already forgiven him, but this went above and beyond and we were very impressed with the impeccable customer service.

We ordered the filet mignon skewers, served with Mediterranean rice and lentils with a side of chimichurri. It was PHENOMENAL. The flavor blew me away. We also ordered the spicy olive hummus which was also exceptional. And the melon salad that he comped was absolutely delicious.

I wish I remembered our servers name! We were there on 4/6/26 at noon, and we sat in the outdoor area.

Kudos to Pinyon and its staff for making what could have been a disappointing experience into an exceptional one!”

“I had such a great experience at Curries! The food is incredibly authentic and full of flavor, every dish tasted fresh, rich, and thoughtfully prepared. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious.

The service was just as impressive; friendly, attentive, and welcoming without being overbearing. It made the whole experience even better. The drinks were also fantastic and paired perfectly with the meal.

“I've been here a couple of times before for a slice. It was good,not amazing nothing to write home about but a decent slice. Today I went in and noticed they had hotdogs. Got damn these people have perfected the hotdog. I know where to go to get a good dog. Portillos has a good dog. Detroit Coney has a great dog as well but this is something different. Its a tiny pizza place in a shopping center that should be named hotdogs not ipizza.”

I came yesterday at 5 mins after 3and didn’t realize they had just recently changed their hours. Even though they had already shut down their machines, the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. I told the girl I had driven 40 minutes to come and just wanted to snap a few photos to show much sister how cute it was inside — and they invited me in anyway and even offered to make me a cold brew. That kindness alone made my whole day and instantly made me want to come back. (Next weekend so my husband can drive me again lol)
