“I had family in town and absolutely had to introduce them to Barrio Bread which is just amazing. My granddaughter must have ate 1/2 a loaf by herself along with 2 whole avocados. They all loved it so much. I had to go back to buy more when they left because I sent it all to CA with them. It is such a fun experience to talk to the owner and other sweet employees. Service and atmosphere are perfect.“
“The ambiance of Locale is good, but it was quite loud. But the great food made up for the noise. I got 2 margehritas, both very good. Was not a big fan of the pudding dessert I had, but maybe it just wasn't for me. Also tried fried calamari for the first time! Serice was very good, my waiter was very nice.“
“With the closure of the Bagel Joint, north/northwest Tucson was in desperate need of a signature bagel place. Bubbe's expansion to River Rd was most welcome and has not disappointed.Their standard rotation bagels are always well cooked, a bit of crunch on the outside with some volume inside. Their cream cheese is light and included without hesitation - no skimping on the dollops. The breakfast sandwiches, should you choose to go that path, are huge. Some even make a good meal for two. For a special treat, don't hesitate to try their limited offerings of special bagel or cream cheese varieties! Their strawberry cream cheese was chefs kiss.Bubbe's has become my families go to, with no chance of changing any time soon.“
“The best pan dulce ever. And they don't add milk to the flour when they make their sweet bread nor donuts for those that are lactose intolerant. Plus those that have nut, legume, or any type of tree allergies this is the place to go get your Mexican sweet bread and regular bread. Their menudo is also great!“
“We live in NJ and contacted this bakery that we found on line. We wanted to send birthday cupcakes to my mother in law for her 80th birthday. I dealt directly with Brenda, who is one of the owners, and she was so nice, and treated us as if we ordered 100 cupcakes. we only ordered 12. She personally delivered the cakes to our mom on her birthday, and included a written note. where we’re from, we don’t get that type of service where we live. We love this brand and service and will be using this company again. BTW, mom says they are the best cupcakes she’s ever had, and she’s been eating cupcakes for 80 years. Thank you Brenda!!❤️“
“She is so easy to work with regarding Pick up. The desserts are to die for! I bought the November box for my sister. She said the caramels were sooo awesome! I helped her with two items and they were both delightful!! Never know they were gluten free!! I will be buying again soon!!! Thanks!“
“It's right down the street from my workplace & I've never gone in as I was always attracted to the shiny krispy kreme or dunkins. Big mistake in my part! I ventured in yesterday to buy donuts & coffee for my coworkers.(drive-thru only) Hands down, some of the best donuts I've eaten. Unfortunately, three of the five coffees were cold concoctions & took a while to make as it's obvious that it's not just poured out of a machine, but rather mixed with care. I hope the folks in the cars behind me were patient and nice to this wonderful gentleman who fulfilled our orders. He was kind & helpful & the order was perfection. My coworkers praised every last morsel. Looking forward to my next order already!“
“Sampled the best turnover I've ever had the pleasure of sinking my teeth into ~ light, fresh, and well-balanced. Corn and flour tortillas are flavorful, soft, and moist. Mexican pastry was lightly sweet with a touch of cinnamon and sugar. Wishing one of these bakeries was in my home area.“
“Tried out their food truck at the Marana Founders Day Parade, there customer service and fast cookie making was great! The only con from my experience is the cookies were a bit underbaked. I thought maybe they were just freshly baked at first but as time went by they were still mushy and never hardened some. Prices were a bit high.“
“I'm at GG maybe twice a month, on occasion it's like no one cares about service ?. For baked of such great expense I would visit more often if I felt welcomed. I don't. Dine in or carry out it's a coin toss on service. Food and bakery are always good.“
“It's not comparable to Korean macarons, but it's quite chewy, moist, and edible. But the price is crazy lol. $3-4 per piece... These days, I think it would be better for me to learn baking so that I can eat as much as I want and with the taste that I want.“
“My first Crumbl Cookies experience for my birthday and it was great! Omg it smelled so good in there. I picked a dulce de leche cookie and my husband got chocolate chip - he was hoping for snickerdoodle Regardless, both were so delicious! They have self-checkout which works great! We didn't know they switch up the flavors weekly. Definitely going back to hopefully try new ones!!“
“Honestly, if you’re living in the Area and not going to Bubbe’s for a bagel you’re wrong. As a New Jersey native this is the only place that I will rave about outside the east coast. Always an incredible experience and they have fantastic bagels. Will always recommend to friends and “
“There are only great things to say about this place. The staff is exceptional. The store is clean. The prices are great. You will be staggered by what you've been paying for bread at the grocery store once you see these prices. It's definitely worth a visit.“
“I thought I tripped and fell into heaven. Their pies are so fresh. No artificial preservatives taste in their pies. Not only that, they are perfectly sweetened. Every other place uses WAY too much sugar. The berries still taste like berries and not a mushy mess! I tried them for the first time a few days ago and cannot wait for tomorrow for them to open so I can get more. Best of all, they sell by slices too so you can try the pie before investing $$$. I'll post a photo next time. They didn't last long enough to take a picture last time.Dietary restrictions: They have gluten-free crust. Not sure about their cross-contamination measures, so ask when you order.“
“I almost never write reviews but we were so impressed with these cakes I would like to add a compliment. We visited Tucson for 2 birthdays in my family. I chose this bakery off of reviews and we were very impressed. 2 beautiful cakes. Excellent NY style cheesecake and really chocolately cake with ganache frosting. Ready on time and had correct messages written on them (which isn't something that can be taken for granted these days). Thank you guys!“
“This is the type of place you should go to for tortillas y pan dulce. But they also happen to make the best donut I have ever had and believe me I am a true donut connaisseur. I have donuts all over the US and in over 15 country across four continents and Estrella has the best donuts but really you should go for the tortillas.“
“First order & experience. Positives: They answer their phone quickly & professionally. Cookies are big, so worth the price. Delivery, from the time I put in the order, was almost immediate. The only negative comment is that the delivery seemed to be by a non-professional 3rd party that didn’t follow instructions. They left my order on the dirt covered ground knowing this is a perishable order. 4 stars to Crumbl overall for their product, presentation & professionalism. This would have been 5 stars but the delivery of food left on the ground wasn’t my preference.“
“Great place, great food, great service, and the food is fire!Vegetarian options: Falafel! But there's more!Dietary restrictions: Just tell them what you can and can't eat.Parking: It's not the biggest parking lot.Kid-friendliness: 2 thumbs up!Wheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“I went for the pie. Let me tell y’all, I love seeing local shops pop up on my Google news. Saw an article ranking the best pies in Arizona and Back Dough was on the list. Local and founded in Tucson. I live in Avondale but when I saw this I marked it in my places I want to visit. I didn’t know it was related to Beyond Bread. Anyway my guy and I took a weekend trip to Tucson and we stopped here. He got the German Chocolate and I got the banana cream pies. We ended up taking them back home to Avondale with us. So good though!!!! I can’t wait to visit again cause we’re planning to get here early for the best selections. Love the sizes and the varieties. We’ll be returning for sure.“
“Never disappointing, always tasty & interesting. Salads, sandwiches, Barrio Blonde, and cookies. What's not to enjoy? Portions are too large for me, but others devour them. I've been there about half a dozen times, gotten something different every time, and liked it all, so while I have no specific recommendations, I totally recommend Beyond Bread. I've been to two of their locations, so ditto.“
“I have found a perfect spot to get your sweet bread and tortillas. If you're on the go, parking is not a problem. Everything is made from scratch the same day. Get ready to rock your taste buds. Perfect for family gatherings, parties, reunions, and any other event that brings people together. Njoy.“
“I know all the hard work and dedication it takes to produce such intricately detailed pastries. That is why I don’t make them. For several years I never knew of this little cafe tucked away from visibility of the street. I am a croissant connoisseur. The shape of the croissants here are precision. The fruit tarts were delicious. Grab some pastries on your way to work.“
“Love this place! It's a lovely local coffee spot with a great selection of pastries, sandwiches and drinks (drip coffee, espresso, tea, specialty and more!) available daily. Decibel coffee beans are used here and food and pastries are made by in house bakers. Super clean, great service and lovely space functional for get togethers and work/study. This space also turns into a lounge some nights serving up speciality cocktails and mock tails, all unique and so tasty!“
“I highly recommend Viro’s Real Italian Bakery. I attended my first Tucson Business Networking event at Viro’s today and the lunch and service were superb. This is not my first visit to this amazing place, and it certainly will not be my last. Incredible bread, Italian dishes and pastries…a rare gem on Tucson’s east side! A must do!!!“
“Ladies at the counter were nice, patient, and welcoming- but the baked goods we bought were even more of a delight!! Chocolate strawberries were great, we bought a variety of cookies and they all were amazing. The Butterscotch chip cookies…. Are what’s going to keep us coming back though. Definitely try this place out !!!!“
“The croissants are amazing! The buttery flavor , the layers, the flaky outside and the color it s all perfection. These croissants are the closest that ever eaten to the ones in France. Thy were bringing out hot cross buns and just like that, they were leaving the store. They sell beautiful breads, sourdough among them. They had beautiful sweets. So, it is a complete bakery ( Boulangerie and patisserie). They don't sell coffee and there is no seating area. Worth the trip from the opposite side of town.“
“The Mendez Bakery is fabulous. Immediately after you enter you are enticed by the wonderful aromas. All is so fresh and delicious. We loved everything, especially the pan dulce, the marble cake, and the cinnamon rolls. Can't wait to go back.“
“Figured we'd give this place a try! I ordered a turkey sandwich with tomato and white bread. It came out massive! And whatever sauce they also put on it was really delicious. My friend order a soup and sandwich which looked really good, normal size. She ordered 2 desserts that I tried a little of each, a brownie cheesecake and some kind of strawberry rhubarb bar, which was my favorite!“
“Anyone who has visited The Island of Malta, knows how incredibly unique and delicious 'Pastizzi' are. Having been born and raised in Malta, Pastizzi are a direct connection to 'home' for me. Malta Joe's Pastizzi are THE REAL DEAL! The flavor and texture instantly took me back home. They're delicious, authentic and seriously addictive! It's that fastest (& most affordable) way to really go down memory lane with a smile! And... if you've never had Maltese Pastizzi.... you've missed out big time... Get a few dozen from Malta Joe's TODAY!! They're mmmmm mmmmm so gooooooood!“
“Strong but mighty! I first bought these tortillas in Patagonia and found out that the bakery was right around the corner from me. It may be a little hole in the wall, but let me tell you they make tortillas like Nana made. I don't think you will be disappointed at all! What is more, they have whole wheat tortillas that are pretty dang good and at a fabulous price (less than $3 for a FULL dozen!)“
“First time in there, seemed like a very clean and organized space. Felt as if my parents owned an industrial sized kitchen and I got asked what I wanted to eat for breakfast. Extremely friendly staff!! Will be going back :)) also $4 for a cinnamon roll is amazing, and they are “
“Cathy made a pretty and even more delicious cake for my birthday. It was a surprise from my husband who has never gotten me more than a cake slice from Safeway on my birthday. This was far surpassed that. It was a dense, yet moist, coconut cake. My husband sent Cathy pictures, flavors and my favorite colors and she created this lovely treat! Hopefully this will become a birthday tradition each year to get a cake from Cathy! Thank you! Highly recommend Cathy's Sweet Creations for any occasion!“
“Blue Finch Bakery has the most delicious bread and pastries! Our favorites so far are the Kanelbullar and the honey oat loaf. The only sad part is having to wait a week for more! Their customer service is also amazing - so kind and helpful!“
“Super cute place, everything we got was great (and we tried so many things!) next time definitely will get more pastries as the cream filled donut was literally the best I’ve ever had. The fried chicken was also so good, love that you can get a mixed order of both flavors. Definitely coming back when we’re downtown!“
“Jaime made the cake for our wedding look beautiful and it was a same we had to cut it up. The attention to details was amazing. The cake flavors were outstanding. If you are looking for a cake that stands out at any event give Jaime a call.“
“I'm curious about this place so my husband and I drove more than half an hour to check this place out. There's mixed reviews about it, but I want to check it out myself. Place was empty, which is unusual, for it's a holiday weekend. We were greeted by a friendly staff and started to introduce us with all the cakes that were on display. Everything looked so delicious! We were obviously, confused! So she recommended some of her favorites. We learned one thing about their products, they don't bake it, the cakes actually come from Mexico! Delivered fresh every day! So if they run out, they close the shop, no matter what time of day it is. Come early as you can, specially on holidays like this. Place is so clean and organized. And the cake we got is so moist and delicious! I will try something different next time, until I try each one.“
“This place has amazing food and I would have given it 5 stars had they not forgotten my fruit tart which I had to go back and pick up later in the day. The fruit tarts are my absolute favorite thing from Beyond Bread, all their sandwiches, salads, and soups are amazing though. Everything is fresh and fairly healthy.“
“I think I'm in love. I was looking for a donut spot and happened upon this place. I didn't go through it but they have a drive thru too!! The donuts here are AWESOME. They're a little pricey but they're BIG. Ended up leaving with 6 more than I came for because the flavor choices sounded so yummy. Highly recommend the blueberry, and the watermelon and mango flavored ones were really summery and tasty. The cannoli was AMAZING. Definitely my new spot. They do cakes too and they were absolutely beautiful. Family owned and run for decades and they totally show their experience in their baking. This place will not do you wrong. It's been three days since I went and I liked it so much I had to write a review. 10/10, every item I ordered hit it out of the park.Parking: Fair amount of parking for its location, the drive thru option makes the parking situation way betterKid-friendliness: Kids will love how big the donuts are and how vibrant and colorful the choices are.“
“Our family loves the Holsum Bakery on 4th Ave. They have the best sweets, gravys, cookies, crackers, chips, soda etc. it's not just a bread store!! The ladies that work there are awesome. We always have a great experience when we are there!!❤❤“
“Absolutely love love love Houlden's. A brilliant local gem with outstanding and delicious recipes that make the most wonderful pastries. Sweet and savory alike! The humans that run this place seem pretty great and you can tell from how much heart and love they put into their bakery and the food they share with us.“
