Even though I had no money to do anything with to begin with, I sat down in front of BadAss Coffee and plugged my phone in to charge. From that moment on, I was able to get not only what I needed but some creature comfort wants... The Ladies there during my little stay sleeping behind a bush more or less. The Local community along with BadAss Coffee, despite the fact that I am homeless for a bit, they all have touched my heart in a way I haven't thought possible but they all in a special place within the deepest part of my heart, for life, bc they are more than meets the eyes. Come join me during the holidays this season and gather in and around these rural areas that are definitely back home country fried, Red Necks, HillBilly, CowBoy's&CowGirl's, and, Hay y'all it doesn't really matter what the color of your skin looks like, or native or foreign... “A few days ago I came in and ordered a large ice kicker with oat milk, I took a sip and knew right away it wasn’t right. I’m not gonna lie I was a bit frustrated because I was heading somewhere but I really needed a pick me up, so I turned around and went back. Selena was the lead on shift and I explained my situation, she listened to me and genuinely apologized for the inconvenience, they were having a bit of a rush but she stopped and remade my drink right away so I could get where I was going. “Yes for the coffee, I got their Cafe Miel with honey & cinnamon that was wonderful and a nitro. Thankful for the big one get one free ad from Facebook! I have been here before and appreciated the simple atmosphere and service. Today, the gentleman at the register didn’t look at me when I walked in, said absolutely nothing to me to acknowledge my presence, kept making drinks and then after about 5 minutes when he got to me at the register-he practically out stared at me. When I said a medium drink he rudely interrupted me and corrected me the terminology they use for their drink sizes and said “there ya go” when he totaled my order, insinuating me to tap my card. Super rude and unkind, but I continued with kindness. I want to go back but definitely not for him. Truly never seen a human so disgruntled in making coffee and offering kindness to the world. It’s not that hard to smile and appreciate life. You woke up today, be grateful.“
