“It's kinda expensive, but so are the rest of the restaurants. I got the chicken mayo for 16.5 (with tip), and I got a nice portion of food. The taste is okay for its price, but I don't think there're many other better alternatives around SFU. You get what you pay for: A fairly big portion of food with decent taste“

“Seen many Korean street side chicken places on You Tube. Decided to give this a try for the first time . Went to the location on Canada Way. Ordered the family Sweet Soy Chicken & Fries Took awhile to prepare the food (15 mins) No wonder ,huge amount of chicken box was packed full. Large pieces very flavorful, not greasy at all like Churches grease feast j chicken . Fries were amazing .I found a new go to place to buy chicken for a game . A tad pricey, buy I assure you very well worth the money . If this place franchises, they will give KFC & Churches very serious condition . My first time there , highly impressed. I highly recommended you try this. Will not be disappointed. Very pleasant staff. Simple decor, but the service & food will amaze you . Thank you so very much for an amazing meal. “First time my girlfriend and I experienced this place, to start off Andrew greeted us right away when we stepped in. He’s a super friendly guy that explain the whole menu to us including some of his recommendations which we went with, we got the combo B that included 2 boneless chicken flavours, and either fried squid or calamari. I ordered the hot devil flavour and he helped us out with the other, which was the original chicken with 3 different sides of sauce so we could sample each. I highly recommend ordering the fried squid over the calamari! Everything was great including presentation and a huge portion for your money. The course also included pickled radish and a corn slaw which is all done in house, we will definitely return next time to explore more of the menu, thanks again to Andrew for his customer service! “Came in for a quick lunch. Ample strip mall parking. Clean booth seats for eat-in customers. We were served complimentary hot broth with our food orders. Recommend the spicy kimchi and pork kimbap, and tuna kimbap. Ideal for takeout or a quick bite. Do not expect restaurant ambiance or service. Self-service food tray cleanup.“

“Great place for traditional Korean dishes. The soups and stews are a highlight, especially the sundubu, Ddaro Gukbap, and Galbi-tang as my favourites. My wife enjoys the naengmyeon, mandu and soondae. I also really enjoy the gamja-tang, but I wish that they offered that in a personal size in addition to the other sizes which are for multiple people.“

“We recently visited this Korean restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the cozy atmosphere. The interior design, with its partitions between tables, gave a nice sense of privacy that made the dining experience more comfortable.

We ordered the beef intestine soup and the cold noodles. Both were flavorful and enjoyable. The soup came with plenty of ingredients, though the medium spice level felt a little mild; next time we’d probably go one step spicier. The cold noodles were refreshing and served in a generous portion, though it would have been even better with a few slices of meat or seafood added in.

The menu isn’t huge, but it does feature the beef intestine hot pot, which was exactly what drew us in. Since there were only two of us, we skipped the larger BBQ platters and went with single dishes, which worked out well. Overall, the flavors were solid, the portions fair, and the price very reasonable.

We’d rate the experience about 7/10. Definitely worth a try if you’re craving Korean comfort food, and we’d be happy to come back again.“

“The food satisfied all my cravings. Pork bone was so flavourful and well marinated. Tteokbokki is chewy and the dumplings dame crispy. Stir fry is spicy and pair well with rice. A hearty and comforting meal. Owner is very nice and checks with you once a while, small store but with lots of love.🥰“

“Ajuker chicken was a place a came only because it was one of the only places available at 1am and later. However it was just somewhat okay before. The new and upgraded Ajuker is actually exponentially better than previous, good chill vibes, chilled glasses for beers and the quality of chicken has improved. Would recommend to anyone looking for a slightly later night.“

Love the food. We try soup #2 and #9' also fried chicken. Soup so hot and fresh. 4 seasoning ingredients on the side in containers so we can seasoned our soup to our liking.
Soups were loaded with so much ingredients. Chicken is of good flavour and moist, no thick breading. 3 of us, so full and with left over to take home.

Services are top notched. 2 servers constantly checking on us, providing us with extra bowls, asking if need more refills of side dishes. Always with pleasant smiles.“

“We got their original and soy chicken flavour, half and half.

Starting off with the chicken, I enjoyed how crispy it was on outside and juicy on the inside. This is a must for all good friend chicken joints.

Next would be marinade and flavour. I don't think there's a huge difference between this one and other Korean Fried Chicken places I've tried, it still had enough flavour. Not much else to say here

Price wise, it's okay. I wouldn't call them cheap or absurdly priced, it's normal.

The service was friendly and our order was served in around 15min which is good considering they prepare it per order.

Overall, 4/5. Good Korean Fried Chicken Joint in you're in the area and mood for some of that juicy chicken or snow cheese fries action.“

“Reading these reviews make me so confused! Maybe it’s because I tried it after they put up the “under new management” sign.

Last week I went to Aroma which is on the opposite side of Crystal mall, and has a much higher rating, and was very disappointed with their popcorn chicken and beef noodle soup.

This week I decided to give Hanju a try, and it was far far better. The chicken is perfectly seasoned with the deep fried basil leaves, and the beef in the beef noodle soup just melts in your mouth. No carrot or radish fillers (the taste is there, it’s just not served as chunks) you actually get green veggies. They have some imported Taiwanese drinks as well.

The price is not cheap, but we would come back for our next Taiwanese food craving, especially with baby in tow. They have some children’s books and the seats are a lot more comfortable and clean than its competitor on the other side of the mall.“

“As a Korean, I seriously need to eat Yangnyeom chicken regularly—you know what I mean? :)
I know Chicko Chicken’s Yangnyeom chicken is actually pretty close to the traditional sweet-style Yangnyeom, but honestly… the quality really depends on each store.
That’s why I’m so happy I found this good Chicko location!
