I tried most of Korean chicken joints in the Lower Mainland, and I have to say this one is by far the best. Light crispy batter and juicy chicken. Portion size is great, the flavour is fantastic, cooked to perfection. Their burgers are (very classic) also really good with great tasting patties and soft buns. I am sad. This place is not very close to my home but it's probably a good thing as I would come too often. I visited again and still had a great experience. The food was just as good as before, though the servers seemed quite busy.

I had a great experience here overall. The food was absolutely delicious, and even though the restaurant was clearly very busy, the staff remained friendly and attentive throughout our visit. You could tell the team was working hard, and despite the rush, the service never felt careless or rushed in a negative way.
The Sooda Dakgalbi was especially outstanding — full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and definitely the highlight of the meal. It’s easy to see why this place is always busy. The energy of the restaurant actually adds to the atmosphere and makes it feel lively and popular.
I’m a regular at the Gastown location, and I’m happy to say this location lived up to my expectations as well. The quality of the food and the overall experience were consistent with what I’ve come to love about Sooda.
I’ll definitely be coming back again and would recommend it to anyone looking for great Korean food in a vibrant setting.“

“Delicious vegetarian tofu bap (rice burger)! I wish there was specifically a bin for recycling the aluminum foil, because I know the blue recycling bin/box collects them; some recycling stations are only after bottles and cans. I like that some of the food here gets served in paper boxes, rather than plastic. Unfortunately, a single-use cup had to be soiled to create the shape of the bap burger, by pressing rice into the cup. They play K-pop inside!“

“Seen many Korean street side chicken places on You Tube. Decided to give this a try for the first time . Went to the location on Canada Way. Ordered the family Sweet Soy Chicken & Fries Took awhile to prepare the food (15 mins) No wonder ,huge amount of chicken box was packed full. Large pieces very flavorful, not greasy at all like Churches grease feast j chicken . Fries were amazing .I found a new go to place to buy chicken for a game . A tad pricey, buy I assure you very well worth the money . If this place franchises, they will give KFC & Churches very serious condition . My first time there , highly impressed. I highly recommended you try this. Will not be disappointed. Very pleasant staff. Simple decor, but the service & food will amaze you . Thank you so very much for an amazing meal. “If I could give Galbi Korean BBQ 6 stars, I would.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. We went on a Sunday night and expected a wait, it was about 45 minutes but absolutely worth it. We ordered the Chef’s BBQ Combo D, and it was more than enough for all of us to leave completely full. They continuously refilled our sides and sauces, so we were never without anything. Everything felt clean, organized, and really well run.

My personal favourites were the marinated beef short rib, the fresh salad, bean paste soup, scallion salad, and the cheesy corn — all so flavourful and perfectly done.

This is hands down one of the best spots to come with your partner or a group, where you can relax, cook together, and actually enjoy the experience as much as the food. We’ll 100% be coming back. 🔥🥩“

“It had been a while since I last had Pelicana Chicken, and I have to say — it was really good. My wife loved it too, which is always a win.

I also do Uber Eats deliveries, and I’ve picked up orders from the Lougheed location multiple times. The staff are consistently friendly, and the place genuinely feels like a family-run business. The atmosphere and vibe are always energetic and positive.

However, I want to share one concern from a recent delivery experience. Last Thursday late night, I picked up an order and drove carefully, but during the ride (about 25 km), the sauce leaked from the box. By the time I reached the customer, the cloth delivery bag was soaked in sticky liquid, my car got messy, and it was very difficult to clean. It was also quite embarrassing to hand over a package in that condition, even though it wasn’t due to careless driving.

This was an unpleasant experience, and I’m sure other delivery drivers may have faced similar issues. I genuinely believe improving the packaging, especially for saucy items, would make a big difference — because the food itself is great and clearly loved by customers.

Overall, great taste, great staff, and great energy — just needs better packaging for delivery orders to match the quality of the food.“

“My boyfriend and I loved eating Combo B. You get a huge hot pot with pork, green onion, potatoes, and white onions. The sides are: Kimchi, Kimchi flavoured daikon, bean sprouts and sweet, vinegary, sweet potato. I love the price for the huge amount of food that they give you. The staff is very friendly 🤩 There was an Asian music video playing nearby.“

“This is my favourite resturant. I'm a homebody, so I get food delivery, and it is always, always good. Of all the resturants I've tried, their pork intestine is the best. It isn't chewy and it is crispy on the outside. (And I'm a white girl lol. Don't knock it 'til you try it.)“

“Oolala Chicken is way better when you dine in rather than getting takeout or delivery.

I tried the new Machoking flavor (BHC-style Machoking), and it was so good I literally scraped the sauce clean. It officially became my new favourite!! I used to love the mala flavour, but this one took its place.

Sometimes there can be a slight smell with chicken, but ordering strong-flavored options like mala or Machoking really covers it well and makes it much better overall.
Highly recommend dining in for the best experience.“

I know Chicko Chicken’s Yangnyeom chicken is actually pretty close to the traditional sweet-style Yangnyeom, but honestly… the quality really depends on each store.
That’s why I’m so happy I found this good Chicko location!

“I am pleasantly surprised by this place. Good food, fast service, no frills eatery. The salt-pepper popcorn chicken Taiwanese style rice was top 5 out of 5 quality.

Price is also fair, though at $20 per dish almost, the portions are large and yummy. Don’t expect anything fancy but standard and reliable Taiwanese comfort food.

Service is quick and no non-sense. Also, they give the option of 10% tips when checkout. This is a breathing way to allow diners to choose.

Heard that originally the place was Korean-Taiwanese food, operated by a Korean and Taiwanese couple. Then was passed on to a new Taiwanese boss, then now to their 2nd generation. At least that’s what the staff member told me. So they’ve been at this location for long, just with a new style and twist.

And has the perfect about of seasoning that isn't too sweet (I hate too sweet) nor too salty (I hate salty!!!)
